Buy if you need things like registration replacement or license renewal or simple things, they can help. Keep in mind that this is a business authorized to execute DMV transactions so there is a service fee on top of whatever the DMV charges. That said although the staff opened about 10 minutes late (9/22/22) they were professional.

Once I filled out the form, my cell phone alerted me within 15 minutes to go to the counter to take my photo which was so quick because the woman was in a rush to take my picture and have me go sit down. That was quick but the waiting for them to call my number which is not done in sequence, was about 40 minutes, however in total, I was there about one hour which to me is fast considering other DMV's your there more than one hour. I did make an appointment in advance so that also helped my appointment move more quickly. I also brought more documents than what was needed in the event, the agent tells me I am missing something. Thank God all went smoothly and I don't have to return until another 8 years. I would recommend this DMV site in Yonkers over the other locations only because of my experience that each time I returned to Yonkers DMV, my renewals always went quickly. So if you don't want to spend the entire day at a DMV location, then schedule an appointment at the Yonkers DMV so that you can take care of your business and leave quickly if you make your appointment in advance.

Now housed in a more modern building with high ceilings, large windows - bringing in natural sunlight, tons of comfortable seating, plus 26 or so high glass paned counters filled with helpful representatives, makes for a vast improvement. This process ran smoothly, but with a fairly long wait. Especially if you're assigned a late morning reservation as I was. Once you arrive you're scanned in and provided an alphanumeric number. You wait for your number to be called, and instructed to have your photo taken. You then wait again to see another rep who completes your appointment. During each wait entertainment is provided via the MVN (Motor Vehicle Network). Their monitors are ever present grabbing your attention, and most importantly informing you which number is up next to be served. The DMV Representative that assisted with my renewal was surprisingly very helpful and pleasant, as with everyone I encountered. She reviewed my docs, gave her professional opinion on what would be my best option. I then paid for my renewal and was done with this part of the process in under 20 mins. Truthfully, the entire process took a little over 2 hours. Regardless of the lengthy wait, I was impressed with this White Plains DMV's organization. Five stars. TIPS: -Make a reservation for your appt. online -Arrive w/i 15mins of your appt. No earlier. -Bring the necessary documents required -No street parking available at this location -Garage Paid Parking at $4.00 Max (?) -Bring add'l reading material to kill time -Bring a Pen

My recent visit to the Dmv was all good this time around. I remembered where I needed to go versus…read moremy first visit here years ago. I also made my appointment ahead of time, weeks in advance. When I walked in I was greeted by a man who asked if I had an appointment and when I responded yes, he pointed me in the direction I needed to go. Checking in was also easy, and if you had trouble there was someone there to help. I typed in my phone number, my appointment time popped up and I printed out a receipt and found a seat. I had a 11am appointment and I arrived early like 10:36, so not crazy early lol To my surprise at 10:58 my ticket number was called and I was at the counter. The lady at the counter was full of personality. She got me in and out before 11:30. This time the parking only cost me, $3. Overall when you have to go to the Dmv automatically you think of drama and stressful day but my experience there today was calm and easy. I 100% recommend that you make your appointment online beforehand to save yourself the headache.
