I have used Angel's shop for many years, never a problem, always a happy customer. Best car repair on the island by far.

Angel took it right back and inflated the tires, and waved me out when I asked how much.

This most recent experience has led me to believe otherwise and I will absolutely not be taking my car back or recommending ever again. I had gotten new tires/brakes put on the car at different points over the winter. Right before the 4th of July, my engine start shaking and so my boyfriend brought the car in on Tuesday, June 24th. We had had off island plans for the holiday but didn't hear anything from the guys at the garage so we pivoted plans, not a huge deal. 2 weeks went by with one or two texts that said "we'll call with an update" however, no call was received. 3 weeks in, they called and said they couldn't duplicate the problem but found and issue with a wheel bearing- we asked that they not fix the wheel bearing but just see if they could diagnose the engine problem. When nothing was still done about the engine, my boyfriend went on YouTube and sent the mechanics videos on common fixes..... It is now July 31st, we picked up the car and have been charged $800 for..... wheel bearings, spark plugs, labor and parts. Half of which we had asked them not to fix, the other half that should have been an easy enough fix that didn't take a month and a half of absolutely no communication. I will happily pay what is fair but this is so wrong on so many levels I cannot fathom spending another dime here, nor should you. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Dropped the car off, but before I left, Sully had already suspected that the issue wasn't a tire thing, but a drive shaft/U-joint issue, which was confirmed shortly thereafter. Figured that it would be both a fix that would take a long time and cost me an arm and a leg... but Sully quoted me a surprisingly reasonable price, AND had the parts ordered and replaced on the vehicle by the end of the day on Thursday, the day after I dropped it off. Said this before, and I'll say it again - for superb workmanship, fair pricing, and superior service, there is NO BETTER SHOP in the area than Sully's Auto Care. This has been my go-to shop for the last three years, and I am profoundly thankful and exceedingly happy that I found them.

He is quick to investigate the issue and explains everything that is involved and lets you know the cost of parts and labor and also his prices compared to everyone else are VERY reasonable! He goes above and beyond and so do all the people working at this shop. Very helpful and friendly, they have integrity which is rare to find these days. When you deal with this shop it's like having your good buddy hook you up and help you out! Honestly I can't say enough good things about this business. When I was lied to by another person about what was "needed" I got a second opinion here and THIS was the correct opinion. It all went exactly how I was told. These guys really care about their customers and their work. You would be doing yourself a disservice by going anywhere else for your automotive needs! I will be going to them always and you would be wise to do the same! Best mechanics around right here!!

This place gets a 5 star rating…read more My kid's car broke down on Cape Cod while he was playing a show in Wareham (he's in a band). We live 2-3 hours away (depending on traffic). I had no idea who to call, who to deal with. I wanted a place that could tow AND fix. My son found this place and I called them with the details and they acted immediately. They have two major bonus points I came across... First of all, my son's car had a failed alternator. I had already replaced the alternator in that car three months prior. The garage I used the first time was one I don't normally use, but it was close to where the car broke down that time. The car limped to that garage and it was highly recommended by my bro-in-law. My bill at Access Auto Too was LESS than the one I used closer to my house. This guy had every opportunity to overcharge me because, technically, it was the vehicle of a tourist. Far from home. Easy target. He did not. His bill also included a $75 tow -- which my original bill didn't have. Second of all, the car was being covered by a warranty. They were not aware of this when they wrote out the bill. The alternator was almost new and the parts store the 1st garage bought the part from was covering the cost under warranty. He was being paid directly, I was not reimbursed. Every inch, from tow to labor. He seemed perplexed by the fact that he was being paid directly by them, but ultimately, trusted me. That means he allowed me to take the car off the lot without getting a dime from me, but believing that he would be immediately reimbursed by the parts store within the one hour timeframe. That's some guts. He was wicked personable, a real nice guy. I was impressed that he was closing his shop for an "Employee Appreciation Weekend". He actually takes his employees away to his vacation home. Man, I can't even get my company to pay for a Christmas Party. We get some sad cold cuts in the break room and a brief, weak handshake. I don't know about anyone else, but he seems like the real deal. I give him props.

He has not ALWAYS come on the day he agreed to come, but I can say that about many island contractors and usually am pretty flexible. He has completed brake work, replaced a tire, put a "kill switch" on our battery for when we leave the island, replaced a battery, and an alternator. He has shown admirable skills on all of these repairs, and has charged a fair price (at least by Vineyard standards). This past month, however, he has ruined our "relationship." As an independent contractor, he has always asked for 1/2 up front and then 1/2 upon completion. I know, I know...perhaps that is my own fault for accepting those terms...but he has always completed the work and I felt OK with the situation. Recently I asked him to check out an "ABS" warning light on my car and replace another tire; after an initial assessment and quote, I paid him the requisite half. He has since disappeared--he does not answer his phone or respond to texts. It has been weeks since his last communication with me--and of course he still has my money--several hundred dollars. At this point, I feel that he has stolen my money and will never hear from him again. I know that I should not take it personally, but it does hurt to know that I have always been exceptionally quick to pay Peter and always kind to him when we talk. I have even asked if needed water/coffee, etc while working. Unfortunately, I need to let the world know--BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER!
