The haircuts (with wash and blow dry) I usually get costs around $30-40, so a $70 wash, cut, dry is me deciding I want a little pamper treatment so I'll splurge a little. I walked in on a weekday and was given a spot immediately. Their store is very spacious with lockers for your personal items and they have a reclining chair for the hair washing station so it's not an ab workout to get on/off! Service and attentiveness is amazing here. Here comes the haircut part. I have really thick hair so even when I go for a trim, the hair cut can take almost an hour. My hairdresser was AJ - I told him what I wanted (2-3 inches trim) and he said he was only going to cut layers in the front and leave the back as is given how thick my hair is, it'll be too frizzy if he layers Sure. He was done with my haircut in 20 minutes, and as I got up to check I noticed multiple hair sticking out in odd places. He sat me down and went off snipping those off. I take off the apron and towel and recheck - there's still uneven areas, so he fixed it while I was standing. While he was "layering" the front of my hair, I told him I like my hair part on my left side. He said "you will have more volume if you switch parts to your right side" and proceeds to cut my hair with my hair parted on the right. I've never had my hair "layered" like this but the ENTIRE front section of my hair looks like it was just chopped off in a straight line (see picture) without a gradual shift in lengths. This review's saving grace is he did say if I had a problem with my haircut I can always come back and get it fixed. But unfortunately I don't have the time to go back and also not sure how they can fix this when it's already that short. So 5 stars for service and the rocket ship of a hair wash station, but hair cut was very much below my expectations for a $70 price tag. read more

Not only that, the attention to detail was better than the spot I normally go to in Hell's Kitchen. The spa is an extension of a hair salon, which is located in the Tangram Mall. First time visitor of this salon. My friends and I often go to Tangram Mall and thought why not get our nails done. We were walk-in costumers on a Sunday afternoon, and the staff was very accommodating. My nail tech was a short-haired lady, and even though I did not speak Mandarin Chinese, she was patient with me. I originally wanted a blue cat eye, but because of the pink background tint of my nails, it looked greyer than expected. I had requested to change the color last minute and she was patient with me. :) (pink color #13) Cat eye nails were $68 (there was a menu for other cat eye colors / more complex designs for $78 too) I'd recommend this place, it's very quaint and peaceful. I've always been unsure of what to do with my hair, and AJ was able to give me a consultation of what might look good for me. He gave me my first ever perm and he did a great job. Originally had it 1 star because I was very disappointed and sad with my new haircut from AJ. It was very uneven and he tried convincing me that it would look better if my hair is straightened, when I told him during consultation that my hair is naturally wavy, and I like it naturally. I went back for a refund and the owner was very pleasant and apologetic. He refunded without question and offered my partner and I free haircuts with no charge. He said he wanted to make things right and do something to make me feel taken care of as their customer. I really did not like the gel nail salon process here. The technician uses a UV pen and is very careless. They leave it on your nail for too long and shines the pen everywhere. They will accidentally flash it in your eyes and face. Adding a star for the design. Nails do look good. read more

I had my hair wash and blown out ($35). The shampoo was very relaxing. They use Oribe products. Love that! They did a great job all the way around. I had a manicure. Very basic. Nothing fancy. Little massage. No music, there was a TV but was not on. The chair was comfortable. There was a large selection of GEL colors also had Chanel polish. I definitely would go for my hair again. Still not excuse to still cut our hair. Thankfully I have found my person and AK has been an amazing person and has cut my hair beautifully. Yesterday I went for an hair cut and for a dye only a few strands on my bangs trying to do a skunk look . Since it's only a few strands they said $100 for the haircut and highlight. And I accept . But after the whole thing is done . The color isn't visible and after I pay the stylist told me color would be wash away in two or three times . So overall they kinda half ass dying my hair because I don't want the full bleach because I only wanna do a small part of my bangs. And I can hear others asking my stylist is this an experiment. Don't let the stylist with the blonde hair and red Supreme hairdryer touch your hair. He did my hair twice. The first time he gave me a botched haircut. I had to go to another hairsalon (I went to Mos Hair Salon - their hairstylist Leo is really great) to fix it. The second time, I asked for a simple bang perm and he FRIED my hair. And he was going to let me leave the salon without fixing it. Then he blamed me for asking for a perm when I had bleached highlights in my hair. As if he didn't have eyes. Or the courtesy to tell me that I can't perm on highlighted hair. I complained to the receptionist and only then did he try to fix it by quickly putting a Keratin treatment over it and burning my eyes with the fumes. I hope they fire him because he's the worst at his job. His personality isn't even good. He acted annoyed the whole time. Which is sad because their nail salon is really good. Not worth it at all. Came in for a haircut and a trim on my bangs. He talked me into getting a perm on my bangs if I wanted "natural curled" bangs. I only agreed to do the perm because I asked what would be the cost with the haircut and he told me around $80. His english was not that good so I guess he did not understand my question therefore giving me a wrong estimate. He decided to check on the perm and undid a role. He said it was good and decided to role it back up. That rerole on the perm ended up giving my left bang more tiny unwanted curls so it made the left side look frizzy. The whole time he was drying my hair after the perm, I felt like he knew that he messed up because he kept trying to reshape my left side with water and then drying. The hairdresser also did not cut my hair straight. I could not tell at the salon since he was curling the sides abit but after I came home and washed it, the left side was longer than the right. The perm on my right bang did not hold their curl. It fell flat on my face and of course the left side was a frizzy mess. ~$140 for this whole mess. I guess the service was okay. They seemed nice so I was abit scared to say something but after dwelling on the price, it was not worth my time or money.
