Obviously the building is very old, but it is outdated and a lot of things were a mess or broken as you are walking up to the bathhouse. Upon arriving to the bathhouse they are separated men and women. I thought it was a public pool. As you post you have to walk to get ready for the spa experience, it's just weird, everything is so old, random, not organized. UNTIL you get to the actual bath house where the tubs are. Here is where everything starts and is relaxing. Khristina was taking cares of us. She prepped the individual tubs and would walk us through the steps. 20 minutes in your own private hot spring tub, 20 minutes in either the sauna or laying in a bed to cool off, then 20 minutes of hot towel wrapped around your body. This is where I was relaxed to the max. Such an awesome experience! Khristina really made it a wonderful experience for me! I would do this again for sure.

The deck was brand new, and furniture was clean and included an umbrella. Check in was easy and done though a keypad lock system. No issues! Loved that there were curtains over all windows for extra privacy. New vinyl hardwood floors throughout the unit and fresh paint. Comfortable sitting area with throw blankets. Inside the unit, there was ample towels provided, as well as beach towels which was a nice touch! It is stocked with kitchen pots, pans, knives, ice tray, plates and cups. There is a microwave and stove as well. Air conditioning worked wonderfully which is essential for those hot summers. You can swim and fish on the property and they have a dock. The only things to note was we wished there were some lounge chairs outside and that the shower was a little bigger. If you are broad shouldered it is very challenging to fit comfortably in the shower. Additionally, there is only one mirror in the bathroom, another mirror elsewhere would've been helpful so one can get ready while another showers. We would definitely come back! It is only 10-12 minutes from downtown.

We have been on many birthday trips, but this one was the closest to home and by far, our favorite place to stay. We stayed in the Majestic Suite in the carriage house and it was amazing. The bed and pillows were clean, fresh, and comfortable. There was a glass bottle of fresh water in our room. Coffee makers, cups and supplies were provided. The spa tub was nice and clean. The water was hot and the jets felt amazing. Big, fluffy robes are provided for after your spa tub soak. In the main house, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Each room is a wonderful experience and glance into what life was like back in the 18 and 1900s. James, the manager is wonderful and spent some time talking with us. His dog, Bernard, is the sweet baby ever! Over all one of our favorite place to spend time during our stay was on the face to face glider in the front yard. 100% recommend this B&B!

The pine cone definitely makes a great romantic getaway as it is just the right size for two. To add to the experience there is an outdoor shower and chiminea on the porch as well. The cabin was a wonderful end to our vacation, next time we will have to stay for longer so we can check out the fishing hole and hiking trails. Gabe and Dawn (owners) are very friendly and were able to accommodate our late arrival. They also offer two large cabins for larger groups.

My boyfriend who is 6'4'' had some trouble fitting in the bathroom, but besides that we had an amazing stay here and even cooked a full thanksgiving dinner for 2!

Skip and company are welcoming, kind and filled with a wealth of information about the area. There's a concrete apron for access to the lake for swimming, which probably serves as a boat launch too. Basic kitchen supplies and towels are provide, and the fridge has breakfast necessities upon arrival. There are grills for shared use on property that are bring your own charcoal and work great. With the amount of cabins here, it would be a great place for work retreats or family reunions. And most importantly, they are pet friendly.
