If he sells it, I…read morewanted it to be to Music Go around because I firmly believe we have to support our local stores. When I sell or purchase something I frequently do it there because I know that they'll give a fair price. Whenever anyone asks me to help sell an instrument. Every time. So my friend is an older fellow and he can't get around to St. Paul easily. So I said I'd find out what Music Go Round would recommend. I made the joke that I want to buy it. 0 chance I could afford what this thing is worth. I'd like to buy a Lamborghini as well, but nobody takes me seriously when I say that either. So explain all of that. The owner's little feelings got hurt because I mentioned that I want the guitar. So he fly out refused to help me. "I don't do market appraisals." So he wouldn't hear me when I tried to explain. It was extremely disrespectful & could have been handled with a little communication. I didn't get that. So this guy is taking the ONLY positive thing about B&H stores and throwing it out the window. Why wouldn't I reach out to Sweetwater to discover something like this? That's the next move. I love the guy you have working there. I think he's in a vest. He has always been kind, cool and professional to me every conversation. It is unfortunate for him that he has to work with this owner. This will sadden me when store inevitably closes, he only has himself to blame. C'mon dude. Build a relationship with your clients. Talk to people. Care a little. You had my full allegiance to your store. But all of that is washed away. Keep people close. I love sending people to Music Go Round but now I'd be embarrassed if you decide you don't like one or my friends.

They put new strings on and adjusted the neck for no extra cost. This is the store to go to for guitars in the Twin Cities

I got inside and went straight back to the acoustic section because those always caught my musical attention. I was in the room for a while and then I asked one of the guys working if he could help me with picking out a guitar. Mike was exceptional in his knowledge of acoustic guitars from wood types to brand subtleties. I was in with a decent budget since I really wanted a guitar that I could play for a long time. Mike's service and attention to the customer really helped my purchase, I ended up purchasing a Martin retailing at $1,459(with case and some accessories). Overall spent more than I came planning but I was shown the value and was treated with great service! Would recommend! -Shiny

First off, I am not sure why Yelp says I am in Burnsville, but, "whatever."…read moreI have had only one encounter with Guitar Center in Roseville and all in all it was positive. I had just been "restructured" by my employer and in lieu of some cash owed me, they gave me a gift card to either Guitar Center or Olive Garden. Duh, a no brainer. Viewing the website, in North Carolina there happened to be an Inspired By Gibson Epiphone J-200 12 string used, excellent condition. From the photo, it looked like it could be first cousin to my own Gibson J-200 I bought back in 1968. I had to have it. I immediately signed up to Guitar Center, had them order and ship the guitar to the Roseville store. It was there in a matter of days. With the gift card and some extra cash it was mine. I am not looking at any guarantee for Guitar Center. Their obligation was only to get the instrument delivered to me as shown in the photos. They performed that obligation without incident. I did ask on the way out how much for a 12 string set up. I was told right off the bat $200. Really GC, now I know where you really make your money, lol. I do buy my miscellaneous picks, strings, etc. from the local mom and pop stores but every once in a while Guitar Center will come up with a winner. The photo shows the 2021 Epiphone next to the 1968 Gibson.

I've known her since she was a teenager working with and learning from her father and grandfather, two of the greatest violin makers and restorers of any era. She is in every respect a worthy successor to carry forward the legendary Becker family tradition. Jennifer is unfailingly honest and professional. She wants nothing more than to make your instrument sound as good as it possibly can, whether it's a student instrument or a Strad. She is welcoming, friendly, and understanding with every type of string player, student to lifelong amateur, young professional to world class soloist. You will not find her combination of knowledge, skill, passion, humility, and true art anywhere else. In spite of her status at the pinnacle of her profession, she is completely unassuming. There's not a hint of the kind of pretention you'll find in most other high end violin shops. I live in Maine and gladly drive to St. Paul to have her take care of my magnificent Becker cello. Can't imagine having anyone else work on it!

As soon as I contacted Jennifer Becker & Co. they reached back out and were responsive, professional, and very thorough and knowledgeable. Jeremy was the person I worked with the entire time. He was patient as I explained to him at least three times that my violin is very important to me and it's hard for me to leave it with a stranger. I'm glad I did! Not only did he fix my crack and make it almost invisible, he sealed two seams that I didn't know were open (with my permission of course) and now my violin sounds better than ever! I would HIGHLY recommend and I will definitely be going back should I ever need maintenance on an instrument.

I stood there about five minutes when a really nice employee helped me. He interrupted Nate to ask about my guitar and Nate said without even looking at me, even though I was 6 feet away, "I'm with a buyer, so not today." It was super demeaning. It made me feel small. The nice employee was apologetic and said, Nate makes those decisions, and that he was sorry. I told him that I did call first and was told to come down.I think he was embarrassed too. I have bought and sold several guitars and pieces of equipment at Willie's. Never again.
