I had an extremely frustrating experience with the Music & Arts store in Corona and would not recommend them for instrument repairs. I brought in my kid's clarinet for a simple repair and was told it would be sent to Anaheim with an estimate in about a week. Weeks went by with no updates, and every time I called, the staff kept blaming internal delays and paperwork issues. It took nearly four weeks for the instrument to finally return--and it still wasn't repaired. Communication was disorganized at every step, and no one seemed to take responsibility. To make matters worse, I was charged another rental fee even though I had returned the instrument about a week before the four-week due date. When I raised the issue, the store manager told me to call customer service myself, and it turned out their system never properly processed my return. This was a complete waste of time, with poor communication, constant delays, and billing problems that the store should have handled. If you need a reliable instrument repair or rental, avoid this location. read more

I called costumer service, I sent my return receipt which has all the details of my return. I was told they can't locate the item. It looks like the rental was lost or misplaced by employees. I don't know what happened to the item after it was returned but I have my proof of my return and it's still not enough. I should not be liable for whatever happened to the rental after it was returned. I file a claim with my bank (pending). Now I am being told I can be sent to collections if the issue is not solved. My son began taking guitar lessons with this organization in 2022. Since then, we've only had one recital. The turnover rate for employees, instructors, and managers is incredibly high, with most not staying for more than a few months. This has led to a severe lack of organization and poor communication across the board. Despite their disorganization, they are very quick to charge your bank card for the following month, even if they owe you makeup lessons. We are owed more than six makeup lessons, yet I am currently receiving collections letters for payments on lessons that my child never attended. I refuse to pay for services that were not rendered. We stopped taking lessons march2024 when my sons music instructor quit. Overall, I do not recommend anyone to take lessons here unless you want to waste your time and money. This organization is a mess and does not value its customers. Save yourself the frustration and find a more reliable music education provider. read more

I hadn't picked up my clarinet in probably 15 years. I didn't have high hopes that I would be able to regain confidence and deliver a great tone like I once did. Kile turned my thinking around and have been able to do much better than I imagined. Kile does saxophone and other winds as well but he's been great and I have had no issues with the way the shop is run. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE EVER! Horrible company to deal with when renting an instrument for kids. I ordered an instrument to be delivered to my son's school because, this is an option they offered, and was told it would be delivered on 9/12. I called the local store and spoke with Janeka who had no access to see what the status of my order was or could not even cancel it. After several attempts to reach their corporate office, I had to specify ask Janeka to call anyone who could help her to locate the status of my order. I finally had to dispute this with my bank and ordered from Corona Music Center. I rented a flute for my daughter because she is now in band the prices are not that high and they have everything you need for every instrument their is indeed a lot of instruments to choose from and the lesson were good and my da liked it she also said that the staff were nice to her and not a lot of people. Dishonest business, after grandson's 1st violin lesson the teacher said he was too young and should wait a year. We paid for four lessons up front (required) and were told several times that cost of unused (3) lessons would be refunded but they were not and we kept getting the run around. After more than a month we filed complaint with credit card company and they are investigating. Now I've received a threat from a credit bureau saying Music & Arts wants more money! The lessons were cancelled, we had paid in full and told that the overpayment would be refunded but now they are going through a collection agency to try to get more money? Makes no sense they are dishonest, would never do business with them again!!! read more

They offer a really good program that's allows portions of the rental to be applied for a purchase. Fast forward to today I was compelled to write a excellent review for this establishment because I truly believe that Music & Art is delicated in providing the best service to their customer. I've worked with the store manager Zach from day one and throughout the past 4 years he provided me with sound advices and excellent service. Recently I need a loaner instrument due to a repair without hesitation Zach help me obtain a loaner and offer me a service program to offset the cost of the loaner. I rented my sons trumpet, and lost my credit card. I went in to update the card and the employee said it was up dated. Now I'm receiving a bill saying I owe money which I though I took care of apparently you have to call corporate. Corporate doesn't help at all. I called 3 times and they hung up on me when I wanted to speak to a manager. I can't believe how unprofessional they are. When all I want is the late fees taken off and to pay my to bill. I sent an email to corporate. It's unbelievable how the stores and corporate don't communicate. Apparently my coworker also had issues with this company. I bought my first guitar off craigslist in 2012. It was a Franciscan classical Korean made guitar. I paid 40 bucks for it, so it wasnt anything special, but it was in awesome condition -no scratches, dings, and it came with a hard case. I took it to Music & Arts for a nut and saddle replacement so i could play it lefty and they did an awesome job with this old guitar. The services for this ended up costing 30 for the parts and 40 for the labor, so 70$ total. The work was seemless and the action felt like new. They even included new strings and a cleaning. You couldnt even tell that it had been flipped. After two years with it, and a semester of night lessons at my community college, I had an attachment to this instrument. 4 Years later, that first guitar was stolen from me and yesterday i picked up a little more expensive name brand one, a Lyon Washburn acoustic for $100. So i was looking for a shop that could set up this new guitar for me again. It had been years so i had forgotten the name of the place i took my first guitar to, so instead, i called one big-name store who misquoted me their price, made me drive an hour to get there, the technician wasnt available that day, and they wouldnt give me a price estimate for the service but they wanted me to leave my guitar with them anyway. I left that store (which i found out later would have charged $100). Another shop that was local was asking for $120. These prices were too much considering i paid 100$ for this guitar to begin with! After some searching, I found that old store, Music & Arts again (on Parkridge in Corona) and decided to have them service my second guitar. I was glad to see they were still there and their prices were the same and very reasonable. Still 70 total with my choice of new strings. I walked in, was greeted by friendly, happy staff, and dropped off my guitar. They even said they might bring the price down for me when the technician is able to take a look at the guitar. I love this place and they are so nice to deal with. I wouldnt trust my instruments with anyone else because you can tell they treat each one with attention and care. They are also local and fairly priced! I highly reccomend Music & Arts on Parkridge in Corona and will update with another review once i get my guitar back from them! A+ read more

I came into this store for replacement strings for my new ukulele and hoped someone could show me how to restring it as I have never played any string instruments before and don't know how to do that. There was a very nice blonde lady there who patiently showed me how to restring the ukulele and stretched the strings a little so now the instrument stays in tune much easier. The other girl was also super helpful and nice and told me that they actually offered some pretty affordable ukulele lessons. I paid in cash so I didn't have any issues with payment that other reviewer had. They also have a rewards card program, and I love rewards cards. I definitely intend on coming back here next time I need something for my ukulele. read more

The only problem I had was with the blond girl who works there a lot, I think she is the store manager. She told me that she would order a book for me and call me when it arrived. Seemed like a nice shop when I walked in. I was helped right away but when I asked to be shown an electric guitar for kids the sales rep asked me who it was for. I said it was for my four year old son, who by the way currently plays on my acoustic, he proceeded to lecture me on how a guitar is not recommended for a young child that I should consider the piano. I knew what I wanted and know what my own child is capable of. I did not come in for a lesson in parenting. Walked out as fast as I could. We love Music and Arts! My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Stephanie for 3 years. She is now 9 years old and still loves coming to her piano lesson every week. Not once have I heard her complain about coming to her lesson. Stephanie has been perfect for my daughter. She makes her lessons fun; challenges her; but never pressures her too much. I had a bad experience with a repair here. In the end everything got sorted out but the whole experience was enough for me to never go back. It's a shame because they are right across the street from where I live, but I will most certainly be taking my business elsewhere. My daughter took piano lessons for a couple of months and the teacher was great. I had tried to get lessons elsewhere and it was such a pain. Here you pay up front for the monthly lessons and they'll work with your schedule. The store inventory is limited and the selection is small so expect to pay more. Dropped off two different amps here for repairs and both of them were repaired in a timely manner, especially considering the fact they have to send repairs to riverside then send the amp back to the corona store for pickup. My kids have been coming to this location for music lessons. My youngest daughter plays piano and takes lessons from Erin, a brilliant and very talented teacher. She has been with him for about a couple of years now, and has learned solid piano techniques. My older daughter and my son take guitar lessons from Shinta. They've both learned so much from this amazing and gifted teacher. My children are so inspired by their teachers that they look forward to their weekly lessons. Also, the teachers are supportive of their students, aside from being true professionals. They also offer many performance opportunities such as showcases and open mics. Honestly, I get more than my money's worth. We also buy my children's instruments/accessories and piano pieces/books from their store which makes it convenient for us, not to mention the student discounts that we enjoy. Don't ever buy anything from here. The teachers at this company are good (but they work independently and you pay them not Alta Loma) and I would recommend using them for lessons. But beware if you purchase items from the store. They are constantly having "problems" with their credit card machine and will charge you repeatedly for the same item. Then when you discover the problem of mutiple charges with your bank, the store will do nothing to credit the money back. Instead they keep it and tell you to talk to your bank. Your bank will probably be helpful with the dispute (mine was) but the store did not respond to my bank so it took a few months to get my money back. The owner refused to call me when I called to request them to fix it. Very dishonest organization. read more

Our teacher is phenomenal and we want to thank her for helping my sister learning piano and myself learning to sing. My son has taken weekly trombone lessons with Pete for two years. He loves his lessons. Pete has great energy, knowledge, and the ability to draw talent out of the nearly tone-deaf. This really helped my son's performance level in his junior high jazz band. The shop holds several showcases each year as well as open mic nights. Lots of opportunity for students to perform, which Pete encourages, both solo and in groups. Now my daughter has started trumpet lessons with Pete, too. read more
