I have recently moved to Amarillo and was searching for a new salon. I made my appointment online…read morefor 3 days later, which I thought was a great wait time! Once arriving I was greeted by Ariel, who checked me in and directed me to the seating area to await my appointment. The decor and vibe of this salon is phenomenal. It is a very industrial chic style, using dark colors and mixture of wood and metal. I like how there is separation of the seating area and the "salon" area. Nuvia was my color technician and she was amazing. She is very personable and knowledgeable in her craft. My hair is badly damaged and she took that into heavy consideration. She discussed options and gave me opinions as well as helpful tips to improve my hair health throughout the appointment. Wade is the owner of the salon and is truly fantastic. He did my haircut. Again, my hair was very badly damaged but he presented me with a plan and managed to cut off a lot of the damage and camouflage what we did not want to cut off just yet to maintain length and evenness. He is very personable and truly makes you feel like one of a kind. Again, the staff was friendly, the environment wonderful and professional staff was very knowledgeable and professional! I highly recommend them!!

I have had plain blonde. My hair is the healthiest it has been in 10 years of foiling. She is careful never to double process. Also, she is able to get the yellow out and make a true ash blonde color. Never has anyone else been able to do this. The salon is nice, low-key, everyone is nice, and prices are very reasonable. I will never go anywhere else. Update as of December 2017: April has moved and opened a new salon: Oxidize at 45th and Georgia.

The search continued, I found another place I really wanted to go but could not for the life of me get a hold of anyone at the salon! I stayed away from calling the Scarlet Door for a while, assuming the price would intimidate me. Turns out their prices aren't any steeper than any other great salon (We aren't talking great clips...) and I made an appointment. When I called, a sweet lady named Ariane answered so I made my appointment with her. She was such a God sent! She did AMAZING cutting my hair, a total natural. She's super kind, easy to talk to, loves Jesus, and listens to what you want. I cannot wait to see her again in eight weeks! Aside from Ariane, the woman at the front desk was kind when I arrived and the salon looked great. Very well kept. This finally feels like a place I can call home!
