This place is great! Went there yesterday on a date and it was such a fun experience. The teacher, Karleigh, was fantastic, and the painting experience was really enjoyable with great instruction. I liked that the location is so big that there were 3 separate rooms, each doing different paintings, one of which was a kids birthday party! I loved my experience-- however one of the employees, Tay, was extremely rude. The entire time, she had a horribly passive aggressive attitude, made snarky comments, and was just generally very unpleasant. It was completely unprecedented as my group and I were kind, respectful, and happy to be there. We loved all the other employees, and still overall had a lovely time. Maybe she has personal stresses in life, but she just gave the vibe that she hates her job and is not a people person. read more

I came in for a couples paint night and it was a fun experience. The teacher guides you perfectly so you leave with a beautiful piece of connected art. We enjoyed our bottle of strawberry margarita wine that was offered at the bar. We enjoyed the experience so much that we brought our kids the next day as a fun family day out. I have been to a few paint nights at different places but this place is by far my favorite. Rachel has led both sessions and she is fantastic! She is down to earth, super friendly and so helpful - and her playlists make it even more fun! I have come with a very large group for regular style paint night and also a small group during off hours and both experiences were great. They offer a decent selection of bottled beers,cider and wine and some apps that are surprisingly good to munch on while painting. My friend purchased a paint night for us as a gift through Groupon. I have been to paint nights before, but never at Muse. It was so much fun! Nick was our host for the evening, and guided us step by step through the process. He was energetic, entertaining, and genuinely appeared to enjoy his job. The 3 hour session was lead by Rachel, who taught us how to replicate the painting she had chosen with easy to follow instructions. She was fun and interactive and played music you can request. In addition, there were 2-3 other assistants walking around to guide painters. The place is spacious and can accomodate more than 30 people at at time in the main room. There are other small rooms available for smaller groups. The apron, canvas, easel, water, chair, 5 different paint brushes and paint on paper plate were already set up for ease. This was such a great experience, I had such an awesome time! The instructor for the night was so exuberant and brought so much excitement into the room. I loved the painting that we did, it was great to see how different everyone's came out. All the staff were extremely helpful and constantly walking around and there if you needed them. Rachel and Jonathan (I hope im spelling their names right) made the whole night so so much fun. I do enjoy painting and I loved this atmosphere. I attended with my boyfriend for an official yelp event and it was a full house. The employees were kind, friendly and helpful. They have a stage so it is somewhat easier to see the instructor along with a couple of people walking around. There is also a bar with many options to drink which is nice if you are a beginner or rookie painter. Little liquid courage can bring your painting a long way. Art is something I passionate about and do daily so these kind of places speak to me and I really enjoy the process. It takes you back and helps you focus on the layers and the overall composition of your piece. My boyfriend doesn't paint, ever, and it was just a good time joking around and having fun. Both painting cake out so different even with the same instruction. Everyone's abilities and touch are different so looking around everyone's was unique but really good! This was honestly a great experience and I like how it's it's on place verse at a restaurant like other paint nights. Definitely would go again. I'm intrigued by paint you pet night! read more

I visited Muse Paintbar with my husband for an Official Yelp Event so the experience was gratis. We were greeted by three very friendly, warm employees. We took our spots after grabbing an apron from the wall. after grabbing our beers the paint session began. The instructor notified us that there was a request jar for you to request any song you wanted during the session. I, of course, fully took advantage of that and they played every song I requested. The instructor, Rachel, was a ball of fun. She was Informative and reassuring at the same time. Through the entire session I felt that I wasn't just a number in this group of 30+, she engaged me frequently. Her and the other instructors came around the room and gave each person feedback and positive reassurance. At several times I felt frustrated, like giving up completely, but then one of them would walk by and say don't give up and gave me useful instruction. Throughout the entire session I turned to my husband and said "Lets do this again!" He took art in college but wasn't too enthused about painting, however upon completing this session he agreed that we should definitely frequent this at least monthly. I will definitely recommend anyone wanting a fun night out with your friends, husband, girlfriends, kids, ANYONE to at least try this experience. It really was intimidating at first but after a few "whoops" and "blooop" from the instructor Rachel, I felt at ease. They have a great concept and I feel they will be a very successful addition to the Apex plaza. read more

Nick was a fabulous teacher! He was so funny and entertaining while instructing with lots of patience. I was doubtful at first if I could produce something even close to the sample canvas, but I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome! Nick worked his magic with us! I visited Muse last night during a special yelp event. I have only done this type of activity once before and was really looking forward to it. The space itself is very well thought out ,very well lit and very well organized. I love how they have a stage for the instructors to stand on that way everyone can see what she's doing. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Rachel the paint instructor was awesome. She is a very enthusiastic and friendly which makes the whole experience fun for everyone. The staff also took requests for music throughout the whole evening. There is a cash bar which is nice if you don't want to do the BYOB thing. We had a very fun evening and brought home a pretty decent picture considering I have no artistic ability.. this is a great place for anybody to come who just wants to get out and do something different and have a very enjoyable evening.. I have been there twice now and already have a 3rd trip booked. I absolutely love it. Great selection of wines. I personally and defiantly partake in the wine drinking part when I can. My mom came with me the second time and also had a great time. Rachel is truly a great instructor and certainly has helped us. Now I paint by myself at home and already I have seen a personal improvement in my own paintings since coming here. I am slowly learning tips and tricks about painting with acrylics and I hope to continue to learn more and bring home not only more great paintings but, memories as well.
