We tried to get a large group together, it was a Christmas gift. It took a while to get so many people together at once but finally my cousin did. When we booked it we found out there was another party that afternoon. We contacted the owner and wanted to know if we could book another time since there was so many of us going. She replied she couldn't accommodate us because it was a groupon and wouldn't make any money off of it. We explained how hard it was to get everyone together so she grudgingly told us we could go the morning before the other party. However when we found out three out of the many couldn't make it but the rest of us still wanted to go, she gave us a hard time because the number change but when we said we could keep the same number by bringing someone else, she refused to help accommodate us and so we had to cancel all together. Luckily groupon refunded us.

They are in a shopping plaza with lots of parking. They also have lots of other craft projects like candle making, painting wine glasses and lots of options for kids. They do have adult beverages and some other drinks to purchase while here. We came for a group event and they ran everything so well and organized. It was easy to book via email and the owner and staff were friendly and considerate.

While shopping, another guest asked the cashier about if any weaving classes were available in the near future but the only response was a grunted "no." Seems like a friendlier response was warranted so I stopped the shopper on her way out to tell her & her daughter about "A Place to Weave" in Fitchburg, MA. My point is, isn't the Worcester Center for Crafts mission to support the craft community? It isn't hard to do and a friendly word goes a long way.

Glassblowing was very interesting but too hard for me. I'm really glad I took it for the experience and I would probably do it over again just to try it out. It requires a lot of coordination, so if you are as klutzy as me, you might find it too difficult too. As described in their catalog, flamework is: Tthe process of shaping glass rods and tubes into small objects over the flame of a torch. Begin by making beads, pendants and marbles to establish a foundation of technique. As the class progresses, projects will advance to include the creation of solid sculpture and hollow forms such as flowers, holiday ornaments, and perfume bottles. Small class sizes and one-on-one instruction allow students to work at their own pace. I love this class and the instructor, Jake Vincent, is patient and a great teacher. You don't have to be quite as coordinated to do flamework. In addition to glass classes, they have classes in clay, metal, fiber, photography, wood, and design and multimedia. They have a gallery too. I haven't been yet, because the glass studio is in a separate area of Worcester. I've heard its great and intend to go soon. I'll update this post when I get there. Tower Hill is a destination for all lovers of greenery and flowers…read more Over the years, I have visited Tower Hill and recently became a member this year to start to come more often On a recent visit, June and I took advantage of their plant sale which was most affordable on a Saturday. After buying some plants from the kind vendor. We explore the fairy garden which had various installations with fairy houses which must be beautiful at night too. We walked over to the shade garden which was a quiet place to visit on a busy Saturday. **we had visited two weeks before and there was some water main break and could not enter. They had a staff at the entrance who told us immediately. I see the low star rating which may be because of people expectations not met but this is a beautiful place and worth a visit

Hearing the music floating in the air as you moved from space to space was so nice. Gorgeous, but still pretty early on the season for flowers. What I truly appreciate about the studio is that they are BYOB so it offers more flexibility if you are going with people to coordinate bringing snacks and drinks. They ave all the supplies such as glassware (wine glasses, corkscrew), plates and napkins. My first event here was for a "Paint Your Pet". That is considered one of the special events since there are specific instructions to submit by at least ~2 weeks in advance the reference photo so they can screen print it onto the canvas so it is more of a "paint by numbers" than following the instructor since it would be challenging to paint each unique pet. They offered great guidance of how to start. Understandably depending on the fur or pet detail it may take longer. I loved how mine turned out and proudly display it at home. They also offer a reward/loyalty system and somehow I have completed enough paintings at this point to level up to "Collector" so I'm excited to redeem a free painting session. After each event they send out a review survey so if you fill it out you receive a 10% off discount code for the next booking. I also got a birthday gift code of 20% off that I used for the most recent "Autumn Porch Leaner" class. Since I've also completed so many standard canvas paintings at this point I've also branched out now into the unique long/tall paintings for a different experience. From the first few minutes of our tour we knew this was the place for us, and the team for us. The grounds were beautiful, and had everything we wanted. While we worked with Hannah the most, we also met with Carly and Alyson, who were both amazing also! Knowing these three ladies would be there to take us through every step of our wedding planning process, put our minds at ease and sold us on the venue. Once we had booked, they put together a binder for us, which Carly met with us to review. It was so detailed and helpful. We were recommended to the venue by a friend, Ayla, who works there. She said so many good things about it that we decided to check it out, and thank goodness we did. Without her I don't think we would've found our dream venue.
