We attended the Emerald Skies class last night 5/12 at 730pm and the instructor was awful. She gave literally no guidance on what she was doing and didn't explain how she was mixing the colors , etc. Having to pay $45 per person you are expecting someone to teach you how to mix the colors, what brush to use, where to paint to on the canvas etc. She did none of that in fact some attendees actually left in the middle of the class because it was so bad. She would paint something without explaining anything then proceed to take her drawing off the board completely and walk around aimlessly not helping anyone with her drawing in hand. Highly disappointed and would not recommend this studio , I am not sure if our "teacher" was just filling in or what but either way I wouldn't risk spending that amount of money . read more

I came for a Yelp event, but want to totally come again for another paint class! It's a large place with it looks like it could become 3 rooms. You can book private events that splits into separate rooms. Reserve your spot because just looking at a normal class, it gets pretty booked! You can order food and beer/wine which was a nice touch! Claire was a hilarious fun instructor that we had and made the experience a lot of fun. She had Alana who walked around to help whoever needed help. I love the concept of sipping on wine and attempting to paint! I felt like a kid again because I don't know the last time I had to paint! Minus the wine. :) read more

How have I not reviewed this yet? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Muse Paintbar. It's such a fun time. Pluses: Great location Affordable TONS of really interesting paintings to choose from every month. They do not repeat as much as some other paint places. Frequent flier discounts (which I get now :-P) Lots of interesting new techniques. For one painting, I used paper towels and the tip of the paintbrush. For another, I learned how to drip paint to the bottom. Both nights were a blast. Frequent surveys so they know where to improve- and they have since I've been there! Vast majority of the time, I'm very happy with my painting at the end. Also, spanikopitas and the other appetizers are tasty if you have a hankering. I think the only minus is... depending on the level of instruction or the difficulty of the painting, sometimes you feel a bit on your own if you mess up the painting or you have to be pretty vocal about getting help. The one plus that Paint Nite has over this one is that they usually frequently lap around to check on you or have multiple assistants help. Also, when you do ask for help, sometimes they sort of do it for you... so it looks better but it's sort of cheating? (Usually they do ask). Overall though, this is seriously one of my very favorite places. Period. It is the best paint night out there. I hope it sticks around for a long, long time. :) Highly, highly recommended. read more

Such a great place! The studio is set up efficiently so everyone can see the instructor or there's a separate section for private parties. The staff was all very nice, courteous, accommodating, & patient. I took my daughter & niece here as a girls day out for something different to do & it was worth every penny. This review should have been posted a while ago, but hey there is no time like the present, right? I had such a wonderful time. I went with my mother and it was an absolute blast, the instructors are so patient and wonderful at explaining and the general ambiance is wonderful. I happen to also teach art class, but trust me no matter your experience level with art/painting you will love this. The instructors teach in such a way that even if you're 'not a good artist' you will have a wonderful time AND have a wonderful piece of art to take home with you. I have gone here with family, with friends, and co-workers and it is always a great time. read more

It was so fun! My mom and I did the couples painting, in which 2 paintings become one! Joe and Elijah were awesome! They walk you step by step while also suggesting for you to be creative on your own. Had some of the food and it was your typical snack food but very tasty! This place is so fun! I had a great time and made a great painting. Turned out beautifully with the help of the staff at Muse. My girlfriends and I took photos of our horses and had lots of fun muching on appetizers, drinking wine and painting for a few hours. I want to go again and paint my dog. You send your pic in and its projected onto the canvas for you so you have something to follow. Pick a uncomplicated photo to make your pet look its best and you will be very happy. read more

The first experiment with Muse was absolutely awesome. The atmosphere is great, not too crowded when we went just enough amount of people to enjoy the paint night. I really love how we end up coming here so much. Service was great not also ordering food/drinks but also the instructor on picture guide was nice and clear. I'm really happy with my paint that come out like I know what I'm doing lol (never though I could paint). But yeah, if you're thinking of trying something fun, relax, romantic, friendship. This is probably one of the place you should try. Drink/food is ok nothing WOW since it's the place you come to paint while you can eat and drink, I'd say that there's no fancy or hottie bartender neither special chef. Loll.... I attended a painting event this Tuesday as part of a teambuilding event with my work colleagues. We did the same thing last year, but at a local restuarant. I LOVED the experience at Muse - the set up of the room was great, it was very well-lit, and there was a lot of space to move. The primary instructor was great - she paced her instructions well and was very clear. The bartender was also an artist, and was also awesome and very quick to help. Overall it was a fanstastic experience and I am so happy with the finished product! I was so happy with this experience that I jumped at the chance to participate in next month's Paint Your Pet event. I signed up last night but was informed this morning that the price dropped $10 since I enrolled. I sent a quick email to the Muse support to team to see if I needed to cancel and reserve again to get the new price. I assumed I might hear back within a day or so, but I received an immediate response confirming that my credit card had been refunded the difference. I am so impressed by this level of customer service! I will be recommending Muse Paintbar to everyone!!! read more

I highly recommend this place if your looking for a fun night out with friends and want something different to do. They offer food and drinks for purchase. You can fit about four people to a table. The instructors are very nice and helpful. Coming from a person with no artistic experience what so ever my painting didn't come out as bad as I thought it would. I went with a friend and we had a blast! The staff was friendly and helpful and there were plenty of paint supplies for us around the room. I wasn't a fan of how the room was set up. I had my back facing the stage and it wasn't comfortable to turn around constantly to follow directions. The girls that were at my table also had a hard time seeing as well. Some of us eventually stood up for the remainder of the night. Other than that, I love that place! I'll definitely return. I just hope I don't get a bad seat again. read more

I enjoyed my experience here very much, I took a friend as a surprise birthday gift for him and he was delighted. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I think that if we are spending $25-$35 then at least the food and drink prices should be a bit lower. One small glass of wine is $8. Which is the normal price everywhere, but these glasses are really small plastic cups. However, I painted a beautiful painting ( at least I think so). I would not have been able to paint that way if it wasn't for the wonderful instructors support and skills of teaching. They really work with you and want everyone to walk out with a masterpiece. I've been to Muse twice now and have had such a fun time on both occasions! I've had two different instructors, and both did a great job breaking down the steps of the paintings. I love the set-up inside as well, and the staff is really friendly. I haven't tried much of the food or drink menu, so I can't really speak to that, but I was moreso there for the painting. read more

Had a girls nite out at Muse Paint Bar last night. It was fantastic! Plenty of light, clean, a bar and ticket for a free drink. I had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Yum. We walked in and everything at our places was nicely set up. They even had little cards with our first names on them at our seats. But most of all the instruction was terrific! Both women (wish I could recall their names, sry) offered suggestions and detailed guidance. They walked around often to see how everyone was doing and when we were ready for the next step. This is all they do here so it works. I've been to a few painting places but they were nothing like this one. Oh and big parking lot too. read more

I made reservations at Muse for Valentine's Day. This was my first paint bar experience and I was not disappointed! Our tickets came with a free glass of wine or beer for the special day. The price was average for a date night in our area but much more fun than the usual dinner and a movie. Although this is a wine bar the wine served is not anything magical to write home about. However, the painting was phenomenal. Our instructor took her time to walk everyone through each step of the process and answered any questions along the way. Your reservation is 2 1/2 hours and you need EVERY MINUTE. It seems like a lot but you leave with a beautiful piece of art! I'm rating 5 stars solely on the awesome painting experience. Incompetent. I've been once with my wife. We had a very nice time and the people running the shop were very pleasant. No problems at all... My second wedding anniversary is coming up and I arranged, through many emails with corporate staff and one of the artists, to paint a scene from our wedding as a gift for my wife. I agreed to pay the higher than normal fee for the private lesson. Well three days before my anniversary and at 10:00 at night the day before my appointment they cancel on me. The 'regional director' seemed to have made her decision without checking with her staff. They wanted to charge me 250% more for a non-custom painting. Charge more for less than they already got from me. I forwarded the email exchange I had with her staff and the artist and the next thing I get is the refund email notice. I'll never go there again. They screwed me. UPDATE: The corporate staff has owned up and admitted there were some breakdowns on their side. They still wanted me to pay more for the services they offered to which I declined, but they did offer me two free vouchers for the trouble, of which I accepted. So, I'm still in a lurch for my anniversary present, but at least they're trying to do right by their customer. Upgraded from one to three stars. read more

Everything is dried by the time you head home, and they give 5-minute breaks throughout so you can drink up. Terrible experience. Me and a group of friends went to muse paintbar on 10/9 for the 7pm class. Was suppose to be 7-9;30pm. The Instructers name was Marjan. She started the class late around 7:20. At first it was a good pace, things were simple. A little after that a couple of her friends show up and thats when her professionalism took a turn. All of a sudden her pace changes. She's flying through this painting now, me and my friends are falling behind and we're stuck asking each other what brush did she say? What colors do we use? She would give us instructions and absolutely no tips, just use this brush, mix this color and this color. We look around and we see others struggling as well. She gave all her attention to her friends that were there. She kept going over to their table to help them out. She never once came to our table to help and we were sitting in the front right across from her friends. We even made eye contact and she walked away. Not only was she distracted by her friends but she would go to the bar and flirt with her coworker instead of seeing if someone needs help. I would go back if I knew what instructors taught what day. I NEVER want to work with her again. We gained nothing from the experience and left feeling frustrated. On another note the menu is limited. The food is your typically bar food, nothing wrong with that. The drinks were alright but do not get the sharables! NOT WORTH IT. They make their mix drinks with Corona and it tastes water down. Me and my friends didn't even get tipsy. You're better off getting drinks beforehand somewhere else. Luckily rio has plenty of bars n options. read more

I had a great painting experience at Muse. The process was very organized and methodical. I was really pleased with my how my painting turned out (it was a relatively complicated design). I believe my instructors were Sarah and Felicia. Both very attentive and helpful. The only downside was that everyone showed up late for the session (they recommend you arrive 15 min before) so it felt like we rushed through the process. read more
