2/7/23 Wow, what a…read moredirty deal!!!! My son and daughter-in-law surprised me with a groupon for a one-hour neck, shoulders, or back pain relief massage for my recent birthday. Upon my arrival, the owner said my groupon was only worth $60 I corrected him that my family paid $80 and he disagreed. I showed him the printed groupon I had received and he begrudgingly said that I was correct. He then said that I had come to him once 4 years ago which made me a current client and that the one-hour massage would cost me $120 and I would need to pay the $40 difference?!?!?! I said that isn't what the groupon says and there isn't a disclaimer stating if you have ever come here your costs were higher. Since I had gone to this business 4 years ago the location has moved. When I was given the gift groupon I didn't recognize the business name or address. I told the owner that I felt that this was dirty business (bait and switch) and that my kids bought this in good faith for my birthday and I refused to pay the additional fee. He said, "well I have overhead costs to pay". This all left me with a gross feeling and I left. I immediately texted my son & daughter in law and asked them to reach out to groupon and to get their money back and report this business's bad behavior.

If you I have been experiencing chronic pain Sycamore restorative massage is the place to be. I…read morehave been experiencing chronic pain in my neck shoulders and back for sometime now due to me having a job where I spend most of my time on the computer. Not to mention the pandemic hitting and I also had to be on the computer for graduate school as well. I was in pain most of the time due to me having very tight fatigued muscles. After reading some of The reviews I thought let me give this place a try and see if I can get any relief. Let me tell you after the first session I could turn my head to the left and right further than I ever have before due to Manny the owner releasing very tight muscles. Again this is not your average massage place where you're gonna sit there be rubbed on very lightly Lee feeling like you really need problem areas addressed. Manny has been a massage therapist for over 13 years and has experience with working with chronic pain which is his specialty. He understands where the underlying problems are coming from and he will work until he relieves the pain and or stiffness. A previous review said that Manny is expensive but let me tell you he's worth every single penny I've spent on his program to give me the relief no one else has not even the doctors who just give you pain pills and you're on your way. For the last five weeks I've been coming here for my hour sessions and every time I've left he has broken down a barrier of stiffness addressed areas where my hip and muscles were pulling so tight that was causing me to limp and or compensate in other areas. Now while I still have to do my part by doing yoga drinking more water etc. coming here you will get relief and be on your way to becoming pain-free. Just a note I was able to use my FSA (flexible spending account).

Man, I'm bummed to have to update my review and I will not be returning. I have been going here for…read moreyears. I go multiple times throughout the year and have had amazing experiences. However, each of my last few visits have had small issues that, if they happened only once, I could have ignored. But, I can't really ignore the small issues anymore. I am not a confrontational person, so no, I did not say anything each time something happened because it felt nitpicky, until I realized that something was happening during every recent visit consistently. And overall, my experiences were still pretty good. One of the first times there was an issue with unprofessionalism it was something that made me uncomfortable. I once overheard the blonde lady, that's worked there for a long time, talking badly about someone's body that she had just given a Brazilian wax to. So, I noted to myself, to never get waxed there. The last several massages I've had there have been with the same person. And she's actually great. But some things have happened during my massages that have cut into my ability to relax. Every single massage for at least the last year, she has brought in what sounded like a metal container with iced water? And she repeatedly will refill a water bottle loudly during my massage with iced water and then constantly stop the massage to loudly drink from it with the ice in the metal bottle or cup clinking around. I have never seen what it is, because I am face down during the massage but that's what it sounds like. Multiple times I can hear this masseuse and have also caught other masseuses here texting or doing things on their phones during my massage. Let me preface this next one with, I am actually 420 friendly.... However, I am 99% sure during my most recent massage, she was hitting a vape. I smelled it MULTIPLE times during my massage. Normally doesn't bother me out in the real world... but during my massage??!! Also, when I walked in for my most recent massage, the owner, was who let me in. I said Hello, good morning to her. No response. Another thing worth noting is, their neighbors have LOUD barking dogs. I understand the spa cannot help this. But you can and will hear it during your massage. Something changed here. I am sad to have to go elsewhere.
