I received a text from a friend right away telling me to just go here and take my post off. So I checked online to see where they were and how to book. I was able to book for July 2nd even though for most it is a holiday. It was nice that I could get in that day and so quick! The online booking was easy to do and I got email confirmation right away. When I got there, there was lots of parking available and was easy to find. The building is easy to navigate if you follow the signs. Walking in, it smells and looks clean and stream line. I was greeted right away and was brought into the room right away. The massage therapist was very friendly and listened to exactly what I said was bugging me. The linens smelled clean, the oils were warm, and the lighting was good. The music that was playing was nice as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan on going again. Despite the apparently full schedule (based on the web site booking page) I didn't see a single other person besides Trish while I was there, which was pleasant and all the more relaxing. Trish also helpfully followed up with an email listing some recommended yoga stretches good for sore backs. The rooms are pleasant and clean, and the whole atmosphere is soothing. I dropped by this place on Oct 2025, I was going to take only one session to see how is it. They gave me different pricing with and without membertship and they told me it is free to try the membership, which it is true join membership costs nothing. I booked the appointment for massage, gave them my info and credit card information. When I was there at the spot to do massage, I found that the catch is that you have to commite minimum 3 months to have the discounted price. Otherwise, the price is much higher than other places. So that is fine I can tried 3 times, I was kindly to sign the commiment/membership. (They gave me bunch of paper works, normally people were are not going to read them words by words, which would cause you a no-easy-quit) After you in the program, they will pre-charge your credit card then you can use it. My other massage places are not doing this, you alwasy do the treatment and then pay. Thing gets intereting is that when my 3 months commiment is over. I told them at the spot in the store on Dec 2025 when my 3rd treatment done, I would like to cancel my membership; they said they can not cancel it; they have me to email them; also I have to do it in 30 days advance. I initially, just wanted to try for only 3 times, see the screenshot, from Oct to Dec 2025. When membership finished, they do not give you a easy way to quit; due to the holidays and email cancellation request only, they kicked the ball, intentionally to comlicate and delay the process, so to have you miss the so-called policy cancellation period, and sure, charge you ahead and make you spend more there. ( cuz normally, people would not pay much attention to the rule and do not care since we covered by insurance.) Then I emailed them on Jan 19 2026 to cancel the auto withdraw and membership;(my 4th payment was already charged on 15th). They replied back to me the cancellation is confirmed on Feb 5th. see the screenshot email. So I was like, fine, they already charged me, I can use it then that is it. On Feb 28, I was going to use my 4th credit, they told me you can not use it until you make the 5th payment for 15th Feb. The reason is that, your cancellation submmited on 19th Jan, there is no 30 days notice in advance. So you have to make one more payment: 5th payment, then you can use the 4th credit today. I was like, my commitment is over, I should be able to quit anytime I want, and I did the email request too. This is such a rip-off, It is understandable you pre-charge my credit card for the 3 month term, but why when it is finished. You are still authorized to pre-charge me? This business is trying their best to squeeze as much as they can out of you. If you argue with them, they just saying you sign the documents. I understand I am covered by insurance, it is kind free for me, but this is not moral to do so.

Here, all the Yelpers recommended Alberta Momentum and specifically Volya Baziuk, so I went there first. Meh. I mean, they were *okay*, but I didn't get what all the hype was about. But I trust Yelpers, and so like the food, I had resigned myself to the idea that the massages in the City of Champions wouldn't be as good as back home. But now it appears Volya isn't doing massages anymore anyway, so I was forced to look for a new one. This was a blessing in disguise; otherwise I would not have gone to see Katherine at Compose Massage. The space is very cute, and the room was tastefully designed, if you're concerned about such things while your eyes are closed. More importantly though, the bed was amazingly soft. And warm, with a heater underneath the sheet. I melted right in. Just thinking about it now makes me happy! Katherine gave me the choice of a heat pack, which I also liked. She has a great sense of touch, because while she applied consistent pressure and really worked out the knots, I'm really not sore at all the day after. She also was great at focusing on my problem areas of the upper back, shoulders, and neck. Without my asking, started to work my armpit muscles. Hey, don't knock it til you try it -- most people have very sore rotator cuff muscles, and they're best reached from the armpit. I was so relaxed I almost fell off my bike on the ride home. As a measure of Katherine's commitment to the profession, she gives students a hefty discount and doesn't accept tips. She also suggested exercises for me but I was like, No, believe me, I already have a routine and my back is actually a lot better. Anyway, the lack of tipping (and the discount, for students) makes her significantly less expensive than other masseuses, but you're not sacrificing in quality one bit. I've just found my new masseuse in Edmonton!

I've been asking friends & coworkers for recommendations on a massage therapist. I have a regular…read morelady I see, but we've become friends outside of her practice and when I go now there's a bit too much chit-chat for my liking. I'm passive aggressive, so I haven't been able to bring this up with her. I didn't know what to expect when I arrived today, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The space looks like its set up for a few different therapists that operate their own business. The shared space is clean, warm and inviting. Katherine provided me with the initial paperwork that was required before she began the massage. She asked if I'd like a glass of water, or if I needed a minute to use the restroom. I took her up on the second offer, and the restrooms are locked and shared with other tennants outside of the therapists space. Again, clean and modern. This gave the therapist some time to look over my information and she then asked me what I'd like to focus on. I've had a lot of shoulder and upper back pain in the last week, so she ended up focusing on that area. I was so happy that I had a very quiet, relaxing massage. She only asked me a few questions about the heat and the pressure during the massage. Her room is lovely (a 9+ compared to my regular lady's 4, lots of greasy lotion stains everywhere!) and the sheets and blanket were so soft! I noticed on her bookshelf a jar with hair elastics, mint candies and eye makeup remover wipes, along with a glass of water just incase. She's put great thought into the space to anticpate her clients needs. The music was also very calm and soothing. I did enjoy my massage and am very appreciative that I was able to get in quickly to see her. Her appointments are able to be booked online (and as brand new client I was able to do that effortlessly). I saw the appointment on a Friday night (late!) and was able to book for the very next day. I'm pretty confident I'll go again, but I really should have a talk with my regular therapist...
