I have had a membership for a couple years and I absolutely love it. My massage therapist is knowledgeable and very experienced at her job.

After 4.5 years, I have to admit that I am considering not renewing my membership. I had a massage on Mar.20 and it ranked in my top five worst massages. My room was cold, my therapist talked too much during my massage AND he massaged my feet, face and scalp....three areas I specifically asked not to be massaged for that particular session. What was NOT massaged were my legs on the supine position. I don't get it. Are my thighs and shins not part of my body? What really irked me the most? Not that I came in with curly hair and walked out with straight hair because the therapist used wet towels on my face and massaged my scalp weaving his fingers through my hair. No. What really angered me is that I received a 42 minute massage. And not because I was late. He took me in late (which is fine as long as I don't get penalized for his tardiness) AND he left the room at one point to advise the front desk that the heat was not working in the room. Technically, Massage Heights is $75 for 50 minutes ($1.50/minute). But because I was gypped by 8 minutes, I paid $1.79/minute that night. I would have rather driven an extra 20 minutes all the way to Millwoods to get a massage from another spa I frequent for $93 for a full 60 minutes ($1.55/minute). Not only would I have paid less per minute but I would have received a fully body massage that I wanted without the face, scalp and feet that I asked to be avoided. Not acceptable. Better training for new therapists would be appreciated. I will mention two therapists that my co-worker and I like. Kathy Ann and Latoya. They might be the saving grace of me keeping my membership. read more

Avoid at all costs! I went for a "90" minute (actually 78 minute) massage. Before starting I informed the "therapist" that I had fractured my back some years ago and it was still problematic. I also highlighted this on the information sheet that was filled out before going in. The massage itself, although shorter than advertised was fine ... "A", the masseuse was a chatty Cathy but I can't hold that against her. However, at the end, "A" decided to grab my knees and twist me into a pretzel. Immediate, sharp pain was the result and I've been on a significant dose of painkillers the past two days. "Inept" would be a good descriptor of this particular employee. If you ignore this warning and go to Massage Heights Edmonton Mayfield nonetheless, please consider avoiding the female masseuse who's name begins with the letter "A", unless you have a strong pain prescription waiting. read more

Avoid this business at all costs!! Their therapists are horrible and a "1 hour" massage is actually only 50 minutes. We cancelled our account because we were displeased with our massages but they continued to charge us! Good thing I check my bank statements carefully. It then took about 5 months and a lot of hassle to get our money back. To be more specific about their therapists, I had one massage where the therapist sweat all over me the whole time and was breathing so heavy that I thought she was going to pass out. Another therapist massaged my tailbone so hard that it still hurts about 3 months later. This was after I repeatedly told him the pressure was too hard. Another therapist talked the entire massage. In general the therapists seem under trained and worked like slaves. A one hour massage was never an hour. I was told that they take off 10-15 minutes for their client to get dressed and undressed. It takes me about 30 seconds to get undressed... A total rip off. RUN FROM THIS BUSINESS! read more

I have been going here for over a year now and absolutely love it, they have a great selection of "elevations" to add on to the massage ( hot stones, facial massage etc). Many of the therapist are quite knowledgeable and very friendly, the front staff is always welcoming and try their best to create a relaxing experience Over all a great place for regular massage ( I go often) Recommend to any one to try out. read more

I've had a membership here for the past few years because the location/hours are convenient and it was one of the least expensive places to go on a regular basis. I've seen numerous wonderful therapists, a few ok ones, and some I wouldn't see again. The beauty of a place like this is that there are often so many to choose from. You need to be very specific if you're looking for one with their 2200 hours though (some insurance companies require this). They don't direct bill either, fyi. They recently raised their prices slightly and I do find their customer service (particularly at the front desk, not so much the therapists) has gone significantly downhill since I started coming here. I'm wondering now if I should be moving my membership elsewhere. read more

The staff is incredibly friendly, professional and cater to whatever your needs are. Every time I have gone in I'm pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quality of massage. Sure the 1 hour is actually 50-55 minutes long but it's definitely the best massage I've had and I couldn't beat the price! Definitely not a membership type person but I do see the value in the membership I purchased. They always call me to let me know when my next appointment is, and to let me know when they have taken money out of my account. For whatever reason, when I think of franchise massage therapy locations, I don't have the highest expectation, but was I ever wrong. Hands down, THE best massage I've ever gotten, and I've had dozens and dozens. Not only did I feel like the therapist was thoroughly competent, I also felt that way about the front end staff. First off if you book and pay for a 90min massage the massage itself should be 90min! It should not be 75min with time for a start consultation and a end consultation!! With that being said me and my boyfriend went for a couples massage and I just want to say the massage therapist that he had was great!! Myself on the other hand did not have a good experience at all, we both chose to get the hot stone therapy and my therapist did NOT know how to do a massage with hot stones, she laid them in places and they would just roll off or not stay, she would take forever fumbling with the stone before actually touching me, one stone even rolled off me and hit the side of my head! If you are not properly trained to do a hot stone massage, please DO NOT attempt to do one! Second I told her she could massage my glutes area, which was fine till she decided to jam her elbow in my glutes than attempt to bend my knee and than stretch my leg OUTWARDS! Which of course my initial reaction was the resist it, which made her attempt to do it again.. sorry but NO i did not asked to be stretch nor do I want my leg bend/"stretch" out! I went here and will never come back for Trish. She made my whole body so sore. I told her that I only want light pressure but the massage that is supposed to be relaxing became instant torture for me. I ended up just staying in bed can't even play with kids as when they touch my body it is really painful. It is my first time to experience this please do not go to this lady at all! read more

I have been to this location three different times and have enjoyed every massage with Wei and Rob (I would highly recommend them-I don't like to talk during my massage, they were both respectful of that and did different techniques I have never had before). I have had some horrible experiences before with massages and I am happy I found Massage Heights. I did notice my last massage was not a full 60 minutes, and that is the only reason I cannot give them a 5 star rating (especially when I am paying upwards of $80).
