She is a true holistic practitioner-- mind, body, spirit. This is an experience unlike any other... She uses kinesiology to test the body for weaknesses. Sometimes it feels a little voo-doo-ish, but conventional doctors are just "practicing" medicine and dispensing potent drugs with known side effects... both seem scary to me, but the natural approach seems less so. And, honestly, I showed up barely able to function from tiredness and fatigue, beaten up from medical procedures and under the care of an oncologist (for a noncancerous condition). She really restored my energy. I credit Dr. Eap for restoring my health back to a place of wellness. --It is expensive and not covered by insurance-- --I eventually had to stop going, the supplements were getting to be too many for me to keep up with-- --I will definitely go again, when my pocketbook and time can manage it--

I have been a patient of Dr. Minette's for, at least, five years now. I initially went to see her…read morefor my chronic migraines, thinking I'd tried just about everything else, why not naturopathic treatment? Best decision I ever made. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Minette, I was concurrently seeing my ninth neurologist. All the different pharmaceutical cocktails I have taken over the years, dietary changes, "my (insert relationship here) takes this, that, and the other thing" trial & errors, did absolutely nothing to get to the root cause of my migraines. They didn't touch the frequency, or intensity, of the migraines. I was having 4-5 migraines a week. They were so bad, I can remember lying there praying for death. Fortunately that was not my fate. Dr. Minette is absolutely the best. Every time I talk to her, I feel like we could be the best of friends. She asks a plethora of questions so she can approach your treatment in a manner that is going to give you the best results. There may be some tweaking along the way, which you would experience in conventional medicine, as well. She doesn't push remedies and/or products on you that you can only purchase from her. Often times she'll email me a link from a website where I might be able to get what I need at a lower cost, or with an expedited shipping. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, right? Within the first year of being treated by Dr. Minette, my migraines decreased in frequency & intensity; to the point where I have been sustaining 1-2 migraines in a month at a decreased frequency, as opposed to the 4-5 migraines in a week before treatment. I honestly can't remember the last time I filled my pharmaceutical migraine medication. I recently relocated to the Houston, TX area and was quite stressed at the thought of having to find a new ND. Fortunately Dr. Minette is able to continue my treatment via phone consult and email. I, of course, can't guarantee that would be the same for everyone, but I am so grateful that I can continue receiving care from Dr. Minette.

Within one month of his initial consultation and subsequent treatment plan created by Dr. Dave he was 100% better. He hasn't had a panic attack or complained about anxiety since and for that we are eternally grateful to Dr. Dave. But I can comment on the treatment (as in how I was treated); and that was very well indeed. Let me set up the story by saying I'm a skeptical old fart. I come from a long line of skeptics that didn't believe in all these over the counter nostrums, herbs, berries and twigs . . . until several of them actually worked for me and my skepticism took a major hit. My knees are swollen, painful, and stiff and the doctors at OrthoCarolina agree with my scientific self-diagnosis -- my knees are swollen, painful, and stiff. They can't fix them, but they'll help me use up my Medicare. So nice of them! Meanwhile it's becoming very difficult to get out of a chair. Dr. Dooley has a downloadable medical history form to complete at home, and then took well over an hour going over it with me on the first visit. On the second visit she had a packet ready with specific recommendations and went to great lengths to make sure I understood the reasoning behind each recommendation. Now you're up to date. --- I was treated professionally and well. There is a back door with only three steps. They'll open it for you if you let them know the paving stones and front steps to be a chore. Stay tuned.

Many people don't know why you would go to a naturopathic doctor, and I don't know why you…read morewouldn't. :) Basically they operate under the premise that your body has the power to heal itself under most circumstances but you need to help it do so. I went to Dr. Melonni Dooley to get my health in check before a major surgery since anaesthesia is so terrible for you. Plus I had done some organic cleanses before and it totally changes your life when your digestive health is in check - you sleep better, less stress, no major stomach pain, no blood sugar hangry or queasy spells. So Dr. Dooley took me under her care in a very, well, caring way. We even did acupuncture, and hydrotherapy as well. I got the right supplements, fish oil, probiotics, etc. and was well on my way. I know Dr Dooley also treats women's health issues (like hormonal stuff) and degenerative neuro stuff, so when my dad's Alzheimers kicks in I am definitely bringing him here! Being self-employed, I have a super high deductible so I might as well seek out the care that I want and is easy in/out without having to wait for a friggin hour for the doctor to come in and be processed by 4 different departments in a visit. Well worth the money in my view for those of us with busy schedules. One more note- I don't remember the chiropractor's name, but one day I was having a stress induced TMJ attack and she fixed it in 3 minutes flat and it hasn't come back. Amazing! My only complaint is that her current location at Art of Living Center in Dilworth has a precarious pathway from the back parking lot off Dilworth Road East to the front tall steps (difficult with crutches.)

My rheumatologist said, "I guess we'll call this osteoarthritis" and wrote a prescription. But Dr. Dillon spent an hour listening to my health history and asking questions. She was able to select a blood test that identified my issues, and she developed and clearly communicated a plan for healing. She has given me excellent suggestions for dietary changes, vitamins and supplements, and lifestyle changes. All were presented as options, and I never felt pressured to purchase anything. I appreciate that she takes a holistic approach and considers how the body systems work together. And I also appreciate that she is not asking me to make changes that feel unreasonable. The office is run efficiently and it is easy to communicate via the app if I have questions between visits. I am used to self-paying for all of our family's medical care, and I feel her prices are very fair. In fact, it's a bargain when I consider all the money I've wasted on major medical tests that were not helpful.

I opted to go to the Carolina Natural Health Center in Charlotte after reading through the reviews…read more"they allowed to be posted", speaking directly to the doctor and his team and being informed of how the plan would work. I was told they specialize in natural health and that they would be able to help with graves disease/hyperthyroidism, getting to the root cause and providing "total body healing" as a result of their program. As their website states " we're passionate about helping people with autoimmune diseases not only find relief from their symptoms but also naturally heal their bodies--so they no longer have to live with an autoimmune disease at all". They claim to be a Christian based facility in which that allowed me to trust them even more. At first it seemed they were very organized, setting up appointments with coaches, f/u with doctor and scheduling task to read/view and complete in the patient portal however, after a while I noticed they did not answer my questions promptly in the patient portal... I had to send them an email and call the office to get their attention as to where I was concerned about the huge box of supplements (over 20 different supplements) received via mail. The issue was that some of the ingredients in some of the supplements were specifically hazardous to take concerning the thyroid, it could potentially cause a flare up and end up in the hospital. They will literally send you supplements without going through and checking EACH one to confirm they will not effect your health individually (mind you Ive been in the medical field for over 20 years, so at least I knew better to CHECK MYSELF). Seems like no one will ever care as much about your health as YOUR OWN SELF. I also had an issue with the Kangen water they offer to those that live in the area (which is a nice gesture) however, it made my tongue do a weird tingling thing (like an electrical shock) NEVER had this before drinking this water after many days/a couple of weeks. I asked one of their doctors about it (not sure if these are even real doctors) and I was told that shouldn't cause an issue (brushed me off) only to google and fine out "A tingling tongue while drinking Kangen water (a type of alkaline water) may be a sign of an allergic reaction, mineral imbalance (such as a drop in calcium levels), or an effect of the water's highly alkaline properties. If the sensation is persistent or accompanied by other symptoms, you should stop drinking the water and consult a doctor immediately). Next, I was told there would be two weekly meetings to meet up on zoom with others in the program (which sounded great), Id love to learn and speak with others going through medical healing... but I never received the invite via email. This program was just not adding up to what I was informed and I just wanted to be done with it. I took $6900 out of my 401K to pay for this up front for a "four month program" ...that is $1725 a month!!! I am not rich but I will pay for my health. After I told them I no longer wanted to continue the program (started 12/1 and ended 12/30)... they offered to give me back only $1676.00 WHICH IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND AN ENTIRE SCAM!!! Please I warn you, everything in this program you can do on your own. They show you short repetitive videos and a few worksheets every week in a patient portal (very repetitive information) that you can research on your own and probably already know because I'm sure you have researched how to heal naturally beforehand. And ofcourse you get your lab testing in the beginning of the program and once you finish. But it is not worth it. I am so upset, as I am a single mom, I could have used that money for much other things needed. I did not expect them to give me back only $1676 out of $6900. This is not right however, I will leave it in God's hand to deal with them, Amen.

I consulted a handful of naturopathic doctors before I chose one, but nobody compared to Dr. Leander. She has literally saved my life! At least, it sure feels that way! When I came to Dr. Leander, I was having terrible pain in my gut. I became bloated, lost all my energy, and was so weak I could barley move. I went to a gut specialist medical doctor, before I found Dr. Leander. This "gut specialist" gave me 20 seconds of his time, cut me off, and then prescribed me a pill to take. When I asked why I was taking this medication, his exact words were, "This pill is $1200, a pill that expensive is bound to work." I went home and did some research, discovering that this pill was known to cause immobility, cancer, and could destroy the lining in your stomach permanently. I called him 4 times to address this. When he finally got back to me, I asked him why he didn't tell me how bad this pill was for my body long term. His words were..."You didn't ask what bad stuff it would do." WHAT? So it's the patient's job now to stay on top of doctor's about being ethical? Needless to say, I knew it was time to consult a Naturopathic Doctor, somebody that takes preventive measures to cure people, instead of prescribing damaging medicine. This is when I found Dr. Leander!! She gave me her undivided attention, listened, and got me on a plan that cured my gut pain and symptoms in 2 weeks without any long-term damaging side effects! How do she do it? With oregano oil and a diet of no gluten. Dr. Leander found the root cause of my pain (stress, exhaustion, and a diet that needed to be changed because certain foods were causing my gut to be inflamed), and I have not had gut pain since! I have since consulted Dr. Leander about a handful of things. She has helped cure my crippling period cramps and taught me how to find more energy throughout the day. In addition, I LOVE her office!
