My husband found her as she came highly rated, and we were absolutely amazed at how much time she spent with us at the intial visit, and the continuing care and natural remedies she has provided him. I have been a patient of Dr. Minette's for, at least, five years now. I initially went to see her…read morefor my chronic migraines, thinking I'd tried just about everything else, why not naturopathic treatment? Best decision I ever made. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Minette, I was concurrently seeing my ninth neurologist. All the different pharmaceutical cocktails I have taken over the years, dietary changes, "my (insert relationship here) takes this, that, and the other thing" trial & errors, did absolutely nothing to get to the root cause of my migraines. They didn't touch the frequency, or intensity, of the migraines. I was having 4-5 migraines a week. They were so bad, I can remember lying there praying for death. Fortunately that was not my fate. Dr. Minette is absolutely the best. Every time I talk to her, I feel like we could be the best of friends. She asks a plethora of questions so she can approach your treatment in a manner that is going to give you the best results. There may be some tweaking along the way, which you would experience in conventional medicine, as well. She doesn't push remedies and/or products on you that you can only purchase from her. Often times she'll email me a link from a website where I might be able to get what I need at a lower cost, or with an expedited shipping. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, right? Within the first year of being treated by Dr. Minette, my migraines decreased in frequency & intensity; to the point where I have been sustaining 1-2 migraines in a month at a decreased frequency, as opposed to the 4-5 migraines in a week before treatment. I honestly can't remember the last time I filled my pharmaceutical migraine medication. I recently relocated to the Houston, TX area and was quite stressed at the thought of having to find a new ND. Fortunately Dr. Minette is able to continue my treatment via phone consult and email. I, of course, can't guarantee that would be the same for everyone, but I am so grateful that I can continue receiving care from Dr. Minette.

What is interesting about this place is how it's a little farm oasis in the middle of Charlotte suburbia. I made sure to buy some of their excellent soap and deodorant 1) because they're good products and 2) to help keep this wonderful local business afloat as long as possible. The animals are clean and healthy, and the farm is also clean and doesn't smell. The goats are friendly, but Auryn the Great Pyrenees definitely steals the show (she is a beautiful, gentle giant). The owners are friendly and approachable--they love meeting their customers. I'm not sure if it's the same yoga instructor every time, but our lady was very zen. My sisters and I took our mom here for a Mother's Day present (none of them had tried any goat yoga before), and we all had a blast. Highly recommend taking an adventure here!

But I can comment on the treatment (as in how I was treated); and that was very well indeed. Let me set up the story by saying I'm a skeptical old fart. I come from a long line of skeptics that didn't believe in all these over the counter nostrums, herbs, berries and twigs . . . until several of them actually worked for me and my skepticism took a major hit. My knees are swollen, painful, and stiff and the doctors at OrthoCarolina agree with my scientific self-diagnosis -- my knees are swollen, painful, and stiff. They can't fix them, but they'll help me use up my Medicare. So nice of them! Meanwhile it's becoming very difficult to get out of a chair. Dr. Dooley has a downloadable medical history form to complete at home, and then took well over an hour going over it with me on the first visit. On the second visit she had a packet ready with specific recommendations and went to great lengths to make sure I understood the reasoning behind each recommendation. Now you're up to date. --- I was treated professionally and well. There is a back door with only three steps. They'll open it for you if you let them know the paving stones and front steps to be a chore. Stay tuned.

Many people don't know why you would go to a naturopathic doctor, and I don't know why you…read morewouldn't. :) Basically they operate under the premise that your body has the power to heal itself under most circumstances but you need to help it do so. I went to Dr. Melonni Dooley to get my health in check before a major surgery since anaesthesia is so terrible for you. Plus I had done some organic cleanses before and it totally changes your life when your digestive health is in check - you sleep better, less stress, no major stomach pain, no blood sugar hangry or queasy spells. So Dr. Dooley took me under her care in a very, well, caring way. We even did acupuncture, and hydrotherapy as well. I got the right supplements, fish oil, probiotics, etc. and was well on my way. I know Dr Dooley also treats women's health issues (like hormonal stuff) and degenerative neuro stuff, so when my dad's Alzheimers kicks in I am definitely bringing him here! Being self-employed, I have a super high deductible so I might as well seek out the care that I want and is easy in/out without having to wait for a friggin hour for the doctor to come in and be processed by 4 different departments in a visit. Well worth the money in my view for those of us with busy schedules. One more note- I don't remember the chiropractor's name, but one day I was having a stress induced TMJ attack and she fixed it in 3 minutes flat and it hasn't come back. Amazing! My only complaint is that her current location at Art of Living Center in Dilworth has a precarious pathway from the back parking lot off Dilworth Road East to the front tall steps (difficult with crutches.)

The owners are NEVER…read morethere because they are on a vacation and when they are there they are hiding from patients. They have their teen daughter working the front desk and she is so unprofessional and would rather be making stupid videos than helping patients. There is some creepy lady at the front with short hair who is CONSTANTLY micromanaging staff and butting into conversations. No one seems to know what is going on or how to help people, and those who were amazing have quit due to the HORRIBLE work conditions. They push too many supplements or hike their prices way up and you can't see them without a membership or buying an OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive programs which hardly covers anything and then you still have to pay for services. I really do not know where my money is going to other than probably the owners pockets for all of their trips. They are also so focused on cancer treatments that they do not pay attention or help those who are not doing a cancer treatment. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend them.

Mine was $127 which I will be disputing with my credit card because they refuse to refund. I was told I would have Socorro's review my labs and issues yet, when I asked about a specific lab he said he hadn't reviewed them yet but, he knew what I needed. The bloodwork they wanted to do was nothing more than my normal doctor couldn't do yet, insurance won't cover it?!? I paid to listen to a sales pitch for the low low low prince of $6,900 I could become a member. What I really wanted was answers as to why I feel the way I do and how to change it. Not be told in a nicer way than my doctor that nothing is wrong with me. They just added let's do a detox and start over... this should tell us what is wrong. The kicker is I signed up and put a deposit down - now they want me to return a 1/2' binder and water bottle or they are going to keep $40 of my deposit. SCAM
