Someone else below said it right. You complete a bunch of paperwork and submit labs prior to an appt you paid for. Mine was $127 which I will be disputing with my credit card because they refuse to refund. I was told I would have Socorro's review my labs and issues yet, when I asked about a specific lab he said he hadn't reviewed them yet but, he knew what I needed. The bloodwork they wanted to do was nothing more than my normal doctor couldn't do yet, insurance won't cover it?!? I paid to listen to a sales pitch for the low low low prince of $6,900 I could become a member. What I really wanted was answers as to why I feel the way I do and how to change it. Not be told in a nicer way than my doctor that nothing is wrong with me. They just added let's do a detox and start over... this should tell us what is wrong. I am so thankful for HWC! At a time when traditional doctors gave me the run around, they took time to listen to what I was going through and do all the lab work and really look into my health issues. My 4 month protocol was an amazing experience. I began to feel better and see real improvement from a lot of my issues caused my post Covid (long haulers). The Holistic Wellness Center of the Carolinas has helped me tremendously. I had some big time digestive issues after being prescribed a broad-spectrum antibiotic. They helped me get back on track after medical doctors simply had no answers or solutions! They created a program that included testing, supplements, health coaching and the infrared sauna. I recovered after I had nearly given up hope that I would ever get better. All of the staff are very nice and very helpful! They worked with me on several issues and were always bright and cheerful. Why are you waiting?!? I have never had my health looked at so closely before in my life. The level of testing, professionalism, expertise, and - most of all - care that was put into my initial review was beyond anything I have experienced in conventional care. All of the staff at the Holistic Wellness Center truly cares about my health and well-being. This place is a total scam! Run! My husband and I paid $162 dollars for an appointment. We were told that this charge was covering a team of doctors to review our cases, paperwork, lab work etc. My husband and I spent a good bit of time filling out paperwork and uploading all of our recent labs as required. This was fine because we thought our appointment was going to be productive. When we arrived they gave us a tour and had us look through a book of client testimonials. We met with Dr. Matz and it was clear he had not reviewed our files and paperwork at all. He did not offer one single piece of medical advice. The entire appointment was nothing more than a sales pitch in which they told me I would need to pay over $6,500 for just one of us to become a patient for six months. Yes, that's right folks, we paid $167 to listen to a slaws pitch. What is even worse is that we were super busy and were disappointed we wasted time! I emailed the office two times requesting a refund. I explained to them that I felt the charge was fraudulent because we did not receive the promised services. They would only refund us $40. I truly think this practice is taking advantage of desperate people. Fortunately, I found another functional medicine/holistic doctor who is wonderful, honest and reasonably priced. I hate to write negative reviews but I really feel like I need to warn people because the last thing people struggling with their health or stress need are experiences like this. read more
