Our server was wonderful in helping us choose our meals. We each chose the bone-in pork chop. At our servers recommendation we split an order of onion rings for an appetizer. These were thin cut and very good. We also split a dinner salad and an order of mashed potatoes. Murray's is known for their mashed potatoes and they lived up to their reputation. My boyfriend and I came here for a date for the first time and will definitely be coming back! We ordered the lemon pesto chicken, mahi mahi, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. It was all a la carte but we didn't mind because we usually share. I didn't love the chicken, it was very juicy and flavorful but the pesto was a bit too nutty. Came in, not knowing what to expect. Honestly we were just doing laundry next door and needed lunch and to entertain my toddler. BEST and quick service given having a picky squirmy yet patient toddler for a lunch date. Personally don't see the hype of this place. For me nothing on the menu did not stand out. I did get the tuna pesto feta sandwich with fries and it was ok. The flavors on this are very different. The bartender could not recommend a sweet drink and just kept it at margaritas are her sweetest. Ended up getting a sex on the beach, whewww was it strong and less sweet haha. I absolutely adore Marin! The atmosphere, the jazz bar, and the original classic feel. The food is very good. I always love the Greek salad and the steak kebabs. Their steak sandwich is also lovely for lunch and I always love their salmon and mashed potatoes for dinner. Definitely worth stopping by! Some friends recommended that I come here and I got take out. Honestly I was happy. Everything was basic but also a good kind of basic. The wings were spot on. Would have preferred slightly more cooked but they were still good with the type of Buffalo that's tasty and not too saucy. The linguine was also good and basic but without too much going on. I was pretty disappointed with Murrys. It was recommended to me by my friends, but I just wasn't a fan. My pasta was too soupy and our calamari was a bit soggy. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak and the fries were pretty good, but overall I wouldn't recommend. I was hoping this place would have a nicer/upscale feel, but it reminded me of somewhere the retirement home takes a lunch field trip too instead. I would rate my experience a 5/10. read more

Best food so far in Columbia. I had the seasonal tomato salad with anchovies and I added feta. I had the blue chips cheese bread which comes with shrimp on it. Together it was a great meal. I sat at the bar and the bartender (AM) was great help. read more

This is by far one of the best overall experiences I have had at a restaurant, every last thing I had was delicious, the server was amazingly attentive and our water was always filled, didn't even have to think of asking. Always great ambience and good service, and they have the best wings I've ever had anywhere. They're not overcooked, so they stay really tender and juicy. I also love the black beast dessert, so decadent! I just have to say that, even though my favorite menu item (many years and different owners ago) used to be the blue chips cheese bread, they shouldn't have changed the type of bread that was used, so I just don't order it anymore. read more

The restaurant has a good variety of food choices for whatever mood you might be in, from calamari to oysters to start. The Murrys Special Salad for a delicious main or intermediary course if you're really hungry then onto any one of the mains from sandwiches to steaks! Drinks are well priced, and abundant in selection. Atmosphere is good for lunch but can be excessively loud when the band plays their raucous jazz. It's good but you have to be seated well away from them. Service is good with waters set on your table as you are seated. The experienced staff gets you all you need in a timely manner. read more

I don't understand the hype of this place or it's current ratings. I've gone twice and the food just isn't that good. Yes the vibe is nice if you are looking for a darker atmosphere. I found the fish (Salmon and Mahi) were decent, well seasoned but a bit on the salty side. The sides here are just not good. I tried the broccoli and potatoes. Both had very little seasoning. For the price, these sides should be packed with flavor. It was about $4 for four pieces of broccoli. Also, about half of the potatoes were rotten (I mean black inside) even though they were cut in half. Why serve that? I'm glad people enjoy this place, but I don't think the price matches the quality and with such hype I had higher expectations. read more

I am in town on business. I found this restaurant on Yelp, the food and service was good. The ambiance left something to be desired. It's way too dark. I had to turn my phone light on to see the menu and the menu itself is very very basic as far as descriptions it just gives you the title of the dish with absolutely no description whatsoever, which I found very odd. That being said, I did enjoy my pasta dish and. My salad, although the server brought them both out at same time, but he did apologize for that as he misunderstood me when I ordered. I get the hype now. Everyone keeps on talking about the wait and how it's worth it, and they are very right. It was worth it. We came on a Friday night, and waited 45 min for two around 6pm. There's a bartender walking around taking drink orders, which makes it all less painful. Once seated, the waitress really knew what she was doing. Didn't need to write anything down, got our food out right away. The prices are unbeatable. They have increased their prices in the past few years, but it's still SO cheap. Cheap for the midwest. I loved the steak sandwich. It's literally a large piece of steak with two pieces of bread. The pork chop sandwich was incredible, and the sugar-coated green peppers were worth the try. What was interesting is we got a piece of calamari in our green peppers, which was better than what we ordered. We'll be getting that next time. I was told to visit here and was very glad I listened. What a cold environment! The whole place just has a neat atmosphere and I loved the jazz music. Service was prompt and helpful with recommendations from the menu. I ordered the pastrami and swiss sandwich. If you like pastrami you will love this sandwich. The pastrami was tender, juicy, and the cheese was melted perfectly. Honestly, one of my favorite pastrami sandwiches I have ever had. One thing you may want to know is the desserts are supposedly epic. I did not have room for one but I saw a few come out to tables around my group and I will be back for one. The food is pretty good but nothing I've found is exceptional. Brocks green pepper appetizer I will say is unique and yummy!
