I've been a patient at Medallus Sandy for nearly 19 years and have always spoken highly of the…read moreclinic. But what happened on June 23rd, 2025 completely shattered that trust, and I will never return. A friend of mine was being treated inside and had just been diagnosed on-site with a collapsed lung. He was instructed to get to the emergency room immediately. Since I was next door, he asked me to come drive him to Alta View Hospital. I arrived within minutes and entered the clinic to let staff know I was there to transport him. I approached the front desk employee and quickly explained this was an emergency and I was there to take a patient who needed urgent hospital care. Instead of responding with even basic acknowledgment or urgency, she snapped at me to sit down and wait, as if I were interrupting her paperwork. I calmly repeated that I was there to take someone with a collapsed lung to the ER, and again she barked at me to sit and refused to take one step toward notifying anyone in the back. She didn't ask questions. She didn't try to understand the situation. She simply reacted with hostility, ignored the medical urgency, and decided she didn't want to "deal with me." She shouted that phrase more than once before walking off. I never raised my voice. I never caused a scene. I simply asked for help getting someone to the ER. Thankfully, another staff member , one who clearly understood the difference between routine and real urgency, came out and assisted immediately. But the situation didn't end there. As we were leaving, the same front desk staff member followed us outside, went behind my vehicle, and took a photo of my license plate without saying a word. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it and quickly retreated inside. Her behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely devoid of empathy or judgment. This was a real medical emergency, and she treated it like an annoyance, then retaliated when someone expected her to take action. Because of this incident, I am canceling my own Medallus membership and will not be renewing the plans I manage for 48 independent contractors, all of whom have used Medallus under my guidance. This was not a one-off mistake -- it was a failure of character in a role that requires compassion, calm, and common sense. If this is who you trust to represent your clinic at the front desk, then it's no longer a place I can trust with my care, or the care of anyone I'm responsible for.

I came here for work so I cant speak to the medical care here…read more The campus was well labeled and I was able to find my meeting place very easily. Parking was easy, no complaints. And surprisingly, the hospital cafeteria was very good. I have quite a bit of trauma over the years eating in hospital cafeterias and this place was a pleasant surprise and my colleague suggested we check it out. I had a tofu bowl and it was delicious! I also had some fresh pineapple and a diet soda. Prices were reasonable and Id definitely return. The place was swarming with hospital staff and was hard to find a place to sit, so snag your seat quickly. The views are so sick of the mountains, Id never get tired of looking at the mountains here in Utah. Id definitely return and normally I avoid hospital cafeterias like the plague.

All understandable. Our experience here was extremely positive. The experience started with the whole network from their Urgent Care, which was wonderful, to the CT scans, to the physician to this hospital. All in the Intermountain system. The doctor was down to earth, explained everything, entertained and answered questions, friendly, assuring, positive. From checking in at the front desk to post-op care, all the staff, the nurses and attendants were very helpful and friendly and supportive. This goes for their urgent care services as well. Gotta put in a plug for their cafeteria, which isn't a cafeteria, it's a food mall! So many choices: pizza, make your own salad, make your own sandwich, soup, grilled items, deserts, coffee/hot chocolate/steamed milk/smoothie station, etc. Tons of grab and go options. Even can get grilled salmon. I had a sandwich toasted and it was great along with a small bowl of vegetable beef soup. Very reasonable prices. If you don't want to eat here, there are enough good options nearby. It is a comfortable hospital, the waiting rooms were spacious with "comfortable" chairs. I put that in quotes because the chairs really gave me a sore bottom. Plenty of electric outlets and free WiFi. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I wouldn't recommend Care Now to my worst enemies…read more I originally went to Intermountain. But since they don't accept Aetna, they recommended this location. With insurance, I had to pay a copay of $100. When I was called, I was seen by a physicians assistant. She took my blood pressure, gave me a Covid test, then told me I most likely have a viral infection. Despite that, she prescribed me a strong antibiotic even though antibiotics don't treat viruses. I took the prescription anyway to prevent my symptoms from worsening, but my cough only worsened and turned into bronchitis. Then, I received the bill. Before insurance, the bill came to almost $700. My portion after insurance was another $100 on top of the copay. In what world does it cost $200 after insurance for a Covid test and a bad prescription? I'd recommend everyone to save their time and run as far away from Care Now as possible.

The front waiting area is little small, so you can't really do much social distancing in the seating area. We did the 15 mins rapid test. The staff were always very friendly and attentive. The doctors took time to answer all my questions. Really appreciate and liked their services! Now I just need to wait and look out for my bill as I read in some old reviews that others had issues with their bills ;P

His office is located in the suite #220. Waiting room has really nice view of the valley and lots of natural lights. Each of the staff are super friendly and nice! The check-in was super fast as well. Didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes after my appointment time and they called me in. Dr. Later is a very friendly fella. He took time to talk with me, and hear what I had to say. Gave some blood samples today and he said that his office will call me when the results are in and we will go from there. Even though it was my very first visit...so far so good! I really liked him. Hopefully I'll keep having positive experiences :P

I was referred to Dr Russell Smith by a friend who had similar female issues-- [ endometriosis / high risk ] so after she had her laroscopy she had told me how it went. She said her recovery was 2-3 days and she felt so much better and that her periods don't hurt like they used to. Once she said that I was in serious need to get help for myself. It was crippling my life! Dr Smiths bedside manner is great. He's very professional and knowledgeable. He goes through explaining things rather than acting like you should know what he's talking about when it's INSIDE us, haha. My quest for a good OBGYN in Utah has finally come to an end! I only had one appointment so far but I'm feeling very confident in his ability and opinion.

For health insurance they have made it impossible for me to go anywhere. I was in the hospital for coming across a substance that then put me in the hospital in the paperwork. It literally says poisoning.. however, Molina decided I was an addict and took it upon themselves to call every medical provider I have seen since to tell them I am an addict and restricted me to Pharmacy and a provider that will not see me due to them contacting them saying just that. I have paid out-of-pocket for all visits and medication since getting on this god-awful insurance, totaling well over $3000 my wife and I added it out just the other day t not only have they made it incredibly hard to even find healthcare ANYWHERE . they contact any other doctors I go to let them know. I am a huge addict. Ohh and any pharmacy I go to for medicine. It's has become their duty to make sure that they know that they shouldn't fill my medication i have used them once and regretted it since. Please, for your sake if you have a choice in healthcare do not pick them. if you have to be very careful has anybody else had this experience? This is completely new to me. I'm just curious.
