I'm not from here but my husband is in the military so we are calling this home for a couple of years. It's important to me that I found a place that took military insurance and a place that had good people and good results. I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and had a cap put on my teeth. They took very good care of me while I was being sedated and after the procedure. I had concerns about my stitches a couple days after I gave them a call and was in the next day. My cap looks like my real tooth it feels and looks so good!

That was super odd especially for a first time patient. I have pretty good teeth and not many concerns but he spent the least amount of time with me. The hygienist Holly is kinda young and quite the chatterbox. I'm not sure she took many breaths. I've never had anyone take 1 full hour to clean my teeth. As you can see I have pretty good teeth. I think if she didn't talk as much it would've been faster. This was a full 2 hour appointment. Even getting a root canal I've never been at a dentist for 2 hours. They "offer" fancy stuff like paraffin Wax, hot wraps, movie glasses. But I say offer lightly. I was offered the hot wrap but nothing else. The massage chair is just an uncomfortable vibration. No thanks. All that has to be paid for somehow. Their prices make getting necessary work done impossible from a cost perspective even with insurance. They're super out of the way too. So nothing about it makes sense to go back. Went on a coworker referral so had much higher hopes. The one good thing is they give you replacement heads for electric toothbrushes which is awesomeness

I had recently gotten the wrong tooth pulled by another office here in Anchorage and Dr. Johnson's office have been nothing but supportive throughout. They got me a temporary retainer with two teeth filled in where I was missing until I got my braces put on. All of the staff is just absolutely lovely. I've never been so impressed with so many people working in one place! Lol. They've sent me cards congratulating me on my pregnancy and another just being really supportive and caring. I happily pay my braces bill every month instead of dreading it because I'm definitely getting my money's worth. I just love you guys

I finally found a dentist in Anchorage I like!…read more Look on Yelp for Dentist reviews and you'll find a weird situation. Lots of polarization, lots of flagged reviews, it's the wild-wild west out there. I main reasons I decided to check out midtown: - Close to my job (can walk from work) - Accepted by my insurance Another, dumb, reason: it's a pretty cool, modern-looking building. I came here after I experienced hard-selling and fear-mongering tactics at another Dentist. I wanted to get a second opinion. Boy, am I glad I did. Staff here are friendly and professional. Appointments are timely. The lobby is beautiful. You can choose your own music or watch Netflix while you get drilled/scrapped/polished. I had Dr. Adam Jensen for my dentist, he was great. He had a data-driven yet practical approach. I wish I knew he was a peak bagger (just found it out by creeping the website), we'll have so much more to talk about next time!

I went specifically for a cleaning but was told I had to come back. By this point, I had already invested my time and effort and I went back for the following reasons: - I liked Dr. Tudor - The office was clean, inviting and full of modern equipment. I've now been here for two cleanings and have been attended to by the same hygienist, who is very thorough. You know you got a good cleaning when you leave with some pain (good pain)! Except on my last visit, she nearly chipped my tooth by pulling out the reflection mirror too quickly (bad pain). I'll be back, mainly because I don't feel like searching for yet another new dentist and also because I do feel like they are honest. I inquired about both whitening and Invisalign and they advised I did not need either.

I came here for Adam Jensen!…read more He used to be my dentist at Midtown Dental and then he went to start his own thing. I liked that he was even more into the mountains than I was, and that he also knew what he was doing but, even more importantly: was a good communicator. Adam is great at explaining the science and theory behind everything going on with your teeth, and will tell you how much you can expect to pay out of pocket, and even if you should or should not get a procedure. There are no obnoxious scare-tactics or hard-sells here! (a reason I've left dentists in the past) It had been 5 years since I had had a dental visit. And, rather than guilt-trip me, Adam used a data-driven approach based on x-rays and inspection (rather than heresay as at some other Dentists in town) to decide what I needed to make up for this lapse. I needed some pretty extensive scraping, but they helped me break it down into parts. (of my mouth) Melissa had the difficult job of doing one half of my mouth and she made me feel taken care of and comfortable the entire time. All the staff here were warm and friendly. This is such a great dental operation!
