They open at 8am and we were surprised by how quickly the entire was full. My friend had 2 eggs and blueberry pancakes. I had a corned beef and Swiss omelette. Delicious!!

Authentic Irish Diner just celebrated 40 years, so Happy I found this place. Traditional Irish Breakfast plated up all day OMG outstanding Delicious . Irish Breakfast Two eggs, o'brien potatoes (with green peppers & onions), irish sausage, corned beef & toast. Irish Bangers and Cornedbeef made in house, a mega deal only 8 bucks n change Delicious . She had a marvelous Gyro topped Salad and we shared a traditional Cornedbeef Rueban Sandwich spot on Wonderful . Retro Diner a hidden Gem spotless clean, fantastic service with a smile. Going back really soon to try some more of the menu, low prices and great location. Hungry man's breakfast and omelette

100% recommend this restaurant for breakfast! I really enjoyed my meal and the service!

#4 mini breakfast special with sausage, hash browns, and one scrambled egg

ordered the #4 breakfast special and a homemade corned beef hash as a call in, i payed $15 for the two pictures you can see. The corn beef hash had absolutely no seasoning and didn't necessarily taste like corned beef. I had a friend taste it along with me and we were both disappointed in the blandness of the dish. Onto the Breakfast special, just like the corn beef hash the hash browns also had no seasoning (to be honest the entire meal had no seasoning not even a speck of pepper) and tasted like nothing. Sausages were fine and so was the bread. Egg was very lack luster, if it wasn't for me getting the plastic utensils that comes with salt and pepper my food would have never been seasoned at all. For the price and quality of food i experienced today i will not be returning.

    #2 breakfast special $6.50!!!!!!

Best breakfast hands down. Kind of a hole in the wall but I wouldn't have it any other way. Small place fills up on weekends

This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Detroit area. First things first,…read morethey do not take reservations and they are always on a wait, that should tell you that they are good. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on a weekday. It was a Friday though around 11am and, predictably, they had a wait. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was totally worth the wait. Their ambiance is cute- the hallway is clean, they have bench seating and they put you on the list to get a text, so you could sit in the car if you really wanted to; we did not. They could use a foyer though. It was 22 degrees and snowing so every time the door opened we were instantly freezing. The menu is massive so if you're trying this for the first time and you're from out of town, honey bring as many friends as you can so that you guys can order everything!! Theeeee must have that I tried were the smoked wings. I have never had wings that were smoked and then fried baby they were crispy. They were seasoned to the bone and were delicious. I almost ate them all and had no room for anything else. We also did the berry pancakes which could feed 3-5 people alone; second of all, they're not overly sweet, which is why I did berries and not the peaches or anything like that; and, third of all, the pancakes are the size of your face, but they are fluffy and melt in your mouth! These were easily top two pancakes I've had in my life. We also tried the shrimp and grits, also a 10/10. A generous portion of shrimp, not overcooked and the sauce was bomb. They do put bacon on it if you're not a bacon eater pay attention. I tasted around it anyways but yes, we also tried a vegetarian omelette with home fries. This was just a 7/10 but probably because we only ever tasted it reheated because we were too full to touch it. It was 3 entrees and an appetizer and was definitely enough food to feed a family of seven. This is a must visit place, so if you are in the area and have never been: make time!!!! And take some friends. Each plate is a day's worth of calories!

I usually don't like to bring a group somewhere that doesn't take reservations but I took a chance on this place and happy I did. I ordered the berry pancakes and they were amazing. I don't like things to be too sweet first thing in am so I ordered without the cream cheese frosting and just added syrup which was perfect amount of sweetness. The portion was so huge I could only eat 1/4 of it. Everything else that was ordered around the table looked amazing and also had very generous portions.

Once we sat down, our server had waters at our table already and was quick to come take our drink orders. My friend ordered the very berry Bellini and loved it, so she ordered a second one. She gave it a 10/10. My other friend ordered a breakfast margarita - she gave it an 8/10. For food, we ordered the traditional meal with red velvet pancakes. She rated it a 9/10. My friend ordered house made corned beef hash with eggs, & cheese grits (gave it a 9/10) the grits needed some salt & pepper; and a Cinnabunn pancake (we give that a 12/10). The pancake was fire!!! I tasted a piece and wanted to order my own. My other friend ordered the crème brule chicken & waffles - she gave it a 9/10. I ordered an egg white omelet with turkey sausage, chicken, spinach & bell peppers. It was good but a little too runny for my liking. It came with fruit and whole wheat bread. I asked for strawberry jam and they brought me a homemade strawberry sauce that was soooo good! I give my meal an 7.5/10. Overall, the place is cute and pretty spacious with lots of seating.
