Dr. Murphy released me from his care with LIFE THREATENING internal bleeding from a ruptured spleen. The second I got home I couldn't breath from the pain in my chest. I had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital. I was hospitalized for 5 days in the ICU. I have PROOF that he was AWARE of the internal bleeding. We have 3 chambers in our lungs.The internal bleeding caused one lung to collapse and the other 2 filled with fluid. Not only did I have to suffer with the pain from the surgery, I had to endure pain that sent me to the ER. I cannot express enough how horrible this experience was. Also, when I went to the ER, I wasn't getting the best treatment because as you can imagine, the ER staffs first impression was that this woman had elective surgery and now she comes in here complaining about the pain so the didn't rush with me. To some extent I do understand this mentality. However, once the CAT scan came back and they realized I did have life threatening injures I received proper attention. He also came up with some document I signed taking any rights to sue him or which would hold him accountable for the mistakes away from me. I clearly remember this document and the last line was not on there, they added it after I signed it. There is another yelper who said the same thing. Don't let this Dr. touch you!!! He's a danger to his patient's. This is not the only problem I had with this surgeon. He performed a neck lift I didn't want or ask for causing me added pain and it looks horrible. My results were terrible he did upper and lower eyelid surgery and some fat grafting leaving me with bumps under my eye and sunken in under both eyes. I'm currently looking for another surgeon to correct the mistakes Terrance Murphy performed. There is so many more issues I had with him I cannot list them all. He didn't fulfill his contract with me either. DON'T RISK YOUR LIFE GOING TO THIS SURGEON. DON'T TAKE THAT CHANCE. This is my honest and true experience with Dr. Murphy. I have brought him a client even before I did my own procedure with him. I met with him and explained not only to him but to whole team about what I wanted and what I was expecting. Even though I am originally from Brazil where the best plastic surgeons are, and even though the cost to go there would be much less, I have decided to go with Dr Murphy for the convenience of having this being done close to home. Dr Murphy seemed very nice and his team very caring attentive. His pricing is more on the higher end but he assured me he was gonna do what I wanted and if for some reason I was satisfied or even If I lost weight and my breast weren't the same I would be covered. I trusted him. Well, just a few weeks after I had my breast done, it was falling, loose, and uneven. My nipples double the size, scars were huge and it just looked worse than it was before. I also reported to him that I was feeling pain in one breast and that I could feel a void space under it as well. He said he was going to perform another surgery but wanted me to pay for it, and only after I insisted that I was unhappy and unsatisfied with the results and with photos proved to him that he did a bad job he agreed to operate me again, but still charged me for the anesthesia. When I was ready to schedule surgery I found out that was pregnant. So I immediately reached them and let them know, they told me that they would still honor what they have promised and would operate me after breastfeeding was over. So, I had my little girl, breastfed her for 6 months, waited 6 moths (per their request) and returned there for the evaluation. Well, again Dr Murphy wanted to charge me for the surgery again, stating that I have more tissue to remove, when in fact everything that needed to be done was also to be done before the pregnancy. I explained the situation to his assistant and again showed the pics right after surgery showing that my breast were the same. She said she was going to discuss that with him and NEVER got back with me. I emailed the clinic a few times, I emailed a few different ladies that works there, I emailed Dr Murphy directly, I made numerous phone calls and left voicemails and they completely IGNORED ME. They never responded. Also, in between my surgery and the time I had my evaluation after the pregnancy, I have not only brought new clients to him, but also have interpreted for them since they did not speak English. They were not shy about using me as their interpreter at no cost. They would also call me and leave messages for their clients so I could translate to them. Now I am gonna have to spend double the amount I have paid him to be able to re-do the entire procedure and maybe make it look good again. I have been depressed, anxious, and even my marital relationship have changed because I can't look at my breast anymore. Dr Murphy and his team only cares about your money. Dr. Murphy has been performed multiple surgeries to restore nearly 1/4 of my scalp and various sizes of thrashes all over my face and scalp after a near death automobile accident when I was 15 years old! I am now 36yrs and again plan on returning to him for some coolsculpting to bounce back after becoming a mom. Back in 2012, I had chosen Dr Murphy to perform my breast enhancement surgery. 6 years later, I'm still dealing with the scarring... All this time I was hoping these ugly scars would fade (he chose to make the incision along the breast crease) but after all this time, they are still red and raised. I finally just saw a specialist to do laser scar removal, and the first thing he said was, "whoever your doctor was, he did a terrible job stitching you up!" Along with that issue, I want to add that they also made my breasts much bigger than I wanted. Being a thin girl, 110lbs, I came to Dr Murphy asking for a small B - a size I thought would look natural for my petite frame. But they talked me into a bigger size, arguing that I would regret anything smaller than a C, because that's what all their patients want. Well, I'm here to tell you that I've been more insecure with these obviously enhanced breasts that are way too big for me, than I was with no breasts at all. I love Dr Murphy and his staff. I had a few procedures done in 2014. He was great. He showed great concern and professionalism throughout the entire process. He was much more affordable then many nationally known surgeons. He also listened to what I wanted and customized the procedure to me and my concerns. The nationally known surgeons did not do that. Wow! I have to say I am very very happy with the work Dr Murphy has done for me! Let me tell you, I am not the one to not speak truth when it comes down to plastic surgery. And I'm very very picky on how things should look! It took me 4 years of research to finally feel comfortable with Dr Terrance Murphy. I read all the reviews from 2014 that others have posted and at first was very scared to even proceed with this doctor. Then after added research I found that he does indeed do good work. I had my breasts done and not only do I love my boobs, I can't seem to stop touching them. From the start the staff were very nice all the way until the end. I got to touch and play with the implants to figure out what size I wanted. I went with the 475cc which fit very well on my body. Recovery was hard but show me one person who says recovery is easy. I actually had lots of anxiety and Dr Murphy was right there in a way to help. He provides his personal cell phone number so if you tend to freak out over little things like me, he was right there, answers his phone, and walks you through it. He is very professional! The staff is professional also! After 3 years I decided I wanted to go smaller with the implants, so of course I go and talk to Dr Murphy and scheduled him for yet another procedure! Now if he sucked I'm sure I wouldn't have rescheduled him to do another procedure. He does very very good work! Just so everyone reading this post understands, no one and I mean NO ONE signs any paperwork under the influence of any drugs! You are sober! Just so we are clear! Sorry Dr. Murphy, but you're a terrible surgeon. Spent a pretty penny at this practice - face lift, breasts, thigh lift, fat injections...all with horrible results. Dr. Murphy will do "touch-ups" to correct his procedures, which result in even worse looking scars, indentations and uneven skin. Also, his wife, Beth, who applies facial peels - has no professional background in skin care. People don't try and save money for plastic surgery. I had two procedures. Dermabrasion and Erbium laser resurfacing. I had the second procedure because he was not satisfied with results, nor was I. 1. Results for first procedure... Results that he himself wasn't satisfied with. Results that caused him to ask me if I was on steroids because they could impact my results. Even though I told him before procedure that I was not on steroids, he mentioned them again after seeing my post procedure results. This was when he offered a second procedure for free. Was not free but an additional 900$ I later found out. 2. Paying more money for second procedure despite Dr. Murphy not informing me of such. I found out through his office staff. The anesthesia price was a separate fee due to being a different doc, so that cost made sense even though the price went up from the first procedure. But the remainder price? For gauze, sterile water, and post care products that were half the price online. And even then, he changed the products to cheaper products, after I had already paid the amount for the more expensive ones. 3. Results for second procedure... The results again weren't obtained. Not even the percentage from the first procedure was obtained despite this being a second procedure. And once again I was asked about steroids which could impact my results. Again, I replied that I'm not taking any steroids. 4. The staph infections that I got after both procedures... The staph infections that kept coming back. I've had procedures before from other Doctors, and have never had infections till I came here. I have permanent scars from these infections, scars that weren't even procedure related. I received an infection after both procedures. The second procedure I had an infection that wouldn't go away. Dr Murphy seemed confused when my infection wouldn't go away, despite repeated antibiotics. And once again he mentioned if i was on steroids or injecting anything to cause this infection. I did get culture samples done which Dr Murphy paid for as promised, so I know he was trying to end my infection. But to not take any responsibility for my staph was just mind boggling. Patients and Doctors know of the potential infection risk. Dr. Murphy couldn't accept the possibility that i got staph from his practice. 5. The three treatments offered for the redness. I had two of these, but didn't bother going for the third. The nurse said this laser was meant for many things including hair removal with just a change of filter. I dont see how the same laser can go from removing redness to hair removal. That's beside the point and irrelevant. But its as if I was just offered more things to give me false hope. I didn't even receive after photos to compare to the before photos. Dr. Murphy said that I would be getting after photos before these upcoming redness treatments. Both times, pictures weren't taken. After photos were never taken. I've not heard from him or anyone as far as an update on how I'm doing. In the end, I wasted a lot of money, and time healing. Recovery from the surgeries, recovery from the infections. My results and infections were assumed (based on his repeated stance on steroids) to be my fault. I don't see how I could have taken his words out of context when he kept mentioning them. I'm have no animosity towards Dr. Murphy, I just think he should have turned me away if he couldn't produce the results he claimed. I realize my face wont ever be perfect no matter what procedure I get and from who. But, Ive seen other peoples results which showed noticeable changes. These people had one procedure performed and received noticeable results. They had their procedure done by different doctors. I had two procedures, and couldn't even get the results of one. As mentioned above, Dr. Murphy himself said that he wasn't satisfied with the results of my first procedure. He said that steroids could be the reason for the lack of results if I'm taking them. And the same was said about the second procedure. Then the infections... They were also assumed to be from steroids as well? Really? I'm muscular sure, but i was not on steroids. The repeated accusations were very upsetting to me. And, he mentioned steroids in front of my mom and sister to which they looked at me oddly as if he just confirmed i was taking them. I think he should stick to boobs and other procedures. Because of his practice, anything I do from now on will require extra antibiotics to prevent staph infections that will now be reoccurring I'm told. read more

I was deeply disappointed in my results. I paid $2800 to have the bags removed from under my eyes. The results are only marginally better - no one who was unaware that I had the procedure done commented postively - no one said I looked better, more relaxed, or even different. The two people who knew of the procedure said they could barely tell any difference. Further, when I told Dr Murphy I was unhappy, he did not offer any options to make me a more satisfied customer. the Dr. was fine but the follow up was the worst. I had breast augmentation revision. The Dr. spent lots of time with me making the sale. When I scheduled the surgery I waited 2 hours for the surgery to start. Felt like I would throw up! After the surgery I never saw the Dr. again. I recently had a breast augmentation performed by Dr. Murphy. I am pleased with the results and would recommend him to anyone for the same procedure. The office staff and Dr. Murphy exhibit a great deal of professionalism. I shopped around and Murphy was by far one of the most reasonably priced. I was impressed by how smoothly the office ran and the Doctors timeliness. The only minor complaint I have was that four days after surgery I had some pretty severe bruising and I called Dr. Murphy to see if it was typical. He said it could wait until the following week and seemed a bit put out. My friend then insisted that I send him photos and he responded that a response would have to wait until following day. I didn't hear back until I went in three to four days later. It was Saturday night to be fair but instead of the doctor taking calls (better than an answering service) it would have been nice to have a nurse available so that I could get the time and info that I needed without putting out the doctor. I would give this doctor a MINUS 10 stars if possible. I'd waited years to have a nose I could wear proudly (little puggish). The first time he just made my nose bigger and said he'd do a tip revision after the swelling went down. I waited a year and the second surgery (which was to fix everything wrong from the first) just made it worse...much worse! I ended up with a HUGE nose, it's crooked, has a large indentation and hump on one side and a bubbled area of skin on the other that looks like a growth. I look like I've been in a horrible accident!!! It also no longer works as when I lay on my right side one nostril caves in. I've been to two other plastic surgeons to try and fix what he destroyed but they refused to touch me because the damage he inflicted was so extensive. My only consolation has been that his work has spoken for itself and hopefully saved the faces of many other women. Avoid this doctor at all costs!!! read more
