No one wants to have to call or visit an insurance company. Generally it's hard to understand what…read morethey're talking about, and you're probably not there for a fun reason. I have been insured through A Affordable for about 5 years now. Recently I had a policy cancelled due to nonpayment. I'm not a slacker, I just have a crazy schedule and I missed it. Anyway after dealing with the first part and discovering I needed to sign up with a different insurance company (remember, A Affordable is an AGENCY), I received a call from an employee named Rich M. He actually reached out to me via email, too, so I had the number right in front of me. First thing off the bat was that his hours were great for working people. Not sure if all the agents do this but he was scheduled until 8. So great for me! I called him back on the direct line he had provided and he picked up right away. No phone tree or operators. I had a lot of questions still about why my original policy was canceled. He took the time to look into what had happened, even though I was calling him for a completely different task far down the line. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand before he moved on to signing me up for a new policy. He went ahead, put me on hold and got quotes from the companies A Affordable works with. He came back with the lowest quote, which had nearly doubled from my last policy. Obviously, I was pissed. But, this was not Rich's fault, or A Affordable's fault, or the insurance company's fault. I was the one who had messed up, and now because of the lapse in insurance, my rate was much higher. Rich explained all of that to me. He empathized with me, saying that the same thing had happened to him, and agreed that it sucked. He went through all the processes and explained what to bring to the DMV and what to do afterward. He emailed me electronic forms right then, so I could electronically sign them and send them back immediately. No waiting, no visits to the office. Tomorrow I will go to the DMV and it will be all set. So, even though what happened was shitty, Rich helped me out, didn't make me feel like he was judging me for missing a payment and not realizing for so long, and oddly made me feel better. It was all so convenient. Posting a review is the least I could do for a compassionate guy who made me feel a bit better on a bad day. Thanks Rich!

I had called about reinstating a policy had spoke with Kaitlyn who was quick to say i was eligible…read morefor a paid in full discount and super corgile when she was getting the sale foward. 3 Weeks letter i get a bill and commerece telling me my agent knows full well I was not qualified for a discount and get a bill in the mail. kaitlyn then gets super snippy saying you signed there is nothing we can do for you. But you also said rhere was a paid In full discount unethical and unproffessional and irresponsible. Cant wait for my year to be done so I do not half to Them again.

I have been a customer for over 20 years, since they were Lexx insurance. I recently had a terrible…read moreexperience with the Concord office. It's taken them over a month to move offices. In the meantime I've been trying to get in touch with someone to go over my policies and make some changes. No one will call me back. Not Taylor, not Sean the office manager...I even tried to get an appointment at the Cambridge office and no one called me back. It's pretty obvious they don't want my business. I'm in the process of changing agencies. I don't recommend them at all. So almost immediately after posting this review I got a call. The next day I had an appointment in the office and we went over everything and they ended up saving me a few hundred dollars. Great. Fast forward to this morning . I need a home owner policy for another property. After several attempts at calling I finally got someone. They took my information and said someone would call me back in 20 minutes. It's been several hours now and still waiting. I'm unable to get anyone on the phone despite repeated attempts. It's like they don't want/need my business. I'm sure I'll get a call after I post this. Really sad it has to come to this. Oh and I also stopped by their Concord "office" since it's on my way home. Lights out and locked up tight at 4 pm.

This year the cost for my auto policy is up 30%. I am a safe driver with no tickets and low miles. Further more I have the umbrella that covers house & cars. This happened in the last 2 years too and I had to call the agents constantly to have the cost checked and corrected. It took a long time & lots of follow up to get it reimbursed. This year I accidentally found out after several calls that the last agent left, not that she was very responsive. It is time to look for a different company.
