At their last school by now I was dragging these kids out of bed and dragging them to the car listening to whimpers and I hate school all the way. But here we are half way through the year and they have not once said they didn't want to go to school. Kids grades are good and perfect attendance. The school nurse is very nice too. If the child gets hurt or something she will call you, tell you what happened, whether their vitals are fine and give you her opinion on whether you should come and get them. I do appreciate her opinion as she is an actual nurse and it keeps me from having to leave work to pick up an "unsick" child ( you know what I mean) But all in all I love this school and so do the kids. I originally had an appointment to meet with financial aid and take a tour of the school because I…read moream thinking about taking classes. First off, this is the second time they cancelled due to an emergency, with no rescheduled date. But when I arrived ( I also had services booked for that day) the financial aid lady was there, and looks like there were tours happening. Weird. The student who did my nails and the nail instructor were adamant that I would have to stay on financial aids ass in order to get enrolled in classes. I will not be chasing anyone to enroll, I will just take my business elsewhere. So on to my services, I want to start by saying that I completely understand that these are students who are learning and mastering their craft. HOWEVER, if the student is a senior and they are doing subpar (and that's being nice) work at best, they should not be taking on clients. The instructor was no where to be found until it was time to sign off of the students paperwork. The instructor didn't even take the time to look over to students work. The student was nice enough, but I'm not sure being a nail tech is her passion. There is no way that could be proud of the work she did on my nails. The before picture was embarrassing and I couldn't bring myself to post. The pic is after I came home and tried to file and fix my nails a bit. YIKKKKEEES!!

When they rebuild the school just a little way down the road I was worried that it would loose some of the small town charm the old one had but I was mistaken. When my children were old enough they started at the new school and low and behold two of the teachers who taught when I was there, was still teaching. Long story short, College Grove Elementary School receives top marks each year from the state for the level of education they provide our children. It was a real pleasure as my two went all the way through from Pre-K to fifth grade. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good school, College Grove is an excellent choice.
