(AHEM proud MT grad here Class of 2017). Yes the building is old and could use a renovation here and there but other than that this building is well maintained. There's just so many memories for me of coming to Murphy Center. Besides graduations and having a college class in this building, I also remember coming here for a field trip in elementary school to see a play. I was fascinated back then with the amount of stairs leading up to the top of the arena. I've also gone to college basketball games here and had a great time. The seating is not bad for those who are wondering. Murphy Center always has some kind of event going on whether it be sports, a concert, a community program, or a college event. It's definitely a mainstay in Murfreesboro.

Despite the struggle, the toils and turmoil I have faced through expanding my knowledge, I have risen like a phoenix from the ash and into the Blaze (pun intended). To say this school is the greatest in the nation would be an understatement, for no number of words would ever be enough to give this school justice. This school taught me what "school spirit" is. It is the reason I wake before the sun. It is the reason I sleep long after the moon hangs in its highest point in the sky. I learned leadership, friendship, perseverance. And yet, my education has not ceased. I came here to leave my mark. I came to show that there is light beyond the shadow that the pessimists linger in. Our school is not great. It is legendary. And even after graduation, the Blackman Blaze lingers in the soul of every student.
