Why yes I could give a 3 star rating, but it deserves a 5 ! We bought the unit online, " white glove " delivery was a fiasco but that wasnt the stores fault, this was on FedEx ! Instead of paying someone to put this together, my lovely hubby volunteered saying he could. Well, almost a MONTH later ,it's finally DONE. Do we feel for ppl bitching about the ordeal putting it together, YES, but it was worth it in the end ! Would we pay for someone putting it together...YES , if you have the funds to do so...ABSOLUTELY ! So far everyones whose seen it wants to know where we got it from...We love it and it was worth the " experience " putting it together. I bought a queen sized sliding door bookcase Murphy bed in white. It is very striking! Jessica was very helpful to me regarding the purchasing process & when there was an issue with FedEx. They were able to arrange for a company to assemble the bed. Initially, my hesitation in buying the bed was having it assembled. Murphy Bed Depot helped to arrange everything and I could not be more pleased. The final price was actually a little less than some local wall, bed companies, but this bed is so much more attractive than theirs. I highly recommend them and in fact I've already done so to some friends. Don't hesitate to buy from them and use the recommended company for assembly. I bought a set of 8 Murphy bed springs but they are very flimsy. The 1st time the bed was lowered, the springs stretched , and the hook remained outside of the hole in the metal bed frame. They are permanently stretched and are un-usable. Don't buy these springs. read more

Great experience from initial contact with Jessica at the store (Phillips Hwy) to installation of the office Murphy bed. Excellent design & functionality of the Murphy bed / desk design. Added frame trim took the looks up a notch & worth it. Company manufactures their own product. Mattress they sell fits well, works with the storage into bed setup movement, & very comfortable-(confirmed by visiting guest.). Installers took time to work with us on placement in the room, explained anchoring the piece/stability & then how-to of putting bed away & setting up desk & vice-versa. Looks great. The installation is very complicated. We had to pay someone $3000 to put it together. It is great but very expensive when you add the installation costs. The company says they will help but when you call it is not an installer on the other end. You cannot use your own mattress either which ads even more to the price. Buyer beware. read more

Good selection. Upfront about the time it takes to receive product, though they could have communicated better about the exact arrival date. I was informed it would take 8-12 weeks, updated a few weeks out, but then it just showed up and we were lucky that someone happened to be home. It was very difficult to put together and instructions were not well written. Some parts were not labeled as the directions named them, and some parts were not the dimensions named. Videos helped some. It worked any way. It does take at least 2 people to put together. Overall I'm still very happy with the product in the end. It is exactly what I needed, I hope it holds up over the years. read more

I will update this review that I wrote over a year ago. I will still say that the murphy bed was very difficult to put together and the directions were not clear. I had to call several times. The whole thing caused a lot of headache and arguing between me and my boyfriend. With that said, the customer service was helpful and friendly and admitted that they were open to feedback and I hope they changed some of their directions. They should probably not describe the installment as easy--it is not, but, if someone is willing to put the time, energy, and attention to detail to it, it does turn out nice. We did have to buy shims, white stickers to cover the shelf holes, and we did not properly install the headboard which was the last step and I'm pretty sure we gave up at that point. We have had several guests stay over since then and sleep on the murphy bed we bought. It does look nice and everyone is impressed when our bookshelf turns into a bed. We do get a lot of compliments. read more

Zac and the whole team at Murphy Bed Depot was amazing! We had an odd room (alcove + sloped floor) and, after doing lots of geometry and measuring, Zac made it all work perfectly! Our queen size Murphy Bed looks and works beautifully! They did a phenomenal job and Zac was responsive and involved the entire time. Zac was the one we spoke to from our initial time is the shop when we started our research and he was part of the team who installed it, too! They also worked within a tight turnaround time because we had guests coming! He was amazing and everyone involved did a wonderful job! Thank you all so very much!!! The extra star is because of responsive customer service. However the product itself is very cheap. All pressboard, and very flimsy. Pretend to be a US company but the product was packaged (poorly) and shipped from China and the instructions are not in coherent English. Took a pro and 4 friends to get the bed together only to find we were missing more incoherent instructions and parts. Customer service said they were surprised to hear this, but clearly have not read the instructions they send out which don't even match the parts. read more

Zero stars. The reviews you read on their beds are wrong. first of all, most pre-drilled holes do not line up. The wood chips off east when tightening the screws. Most importantly, the bed overall is total junk. Brackets bend just from the weight of the mattress folded up during storage. Had to disassemble the bed just to open it up after being stowed away. Now before they accuse me of putting it together wrong, I can assure you I have the skills and background to assemble the bed although I did have to figure it out myself because instructions suck. Do not buy their beds. Save your 4k and don't waste it like I did. read more

Great service. Great product. Plan ahead, it could take a few weeks from ordering to installation. I opted to have a painted surface rather than the laminated surfaces on display in the showroom. I have decided not to do business with this company based on the terrible customer service I received. It seems to me this is a company that prefers to do business in the shade. I called numerous times to make inquiry about their products, and all I get is corporate mumbo-jumbo from the underling staff. I have asked several times to speak to the owner or manager, and none of my phone calls have been returned. If they think this poor behavior is appropriate in sales, then I prefer to close my wallet and spend my money elsewhere. I purchased the metal wall bed frame to install in a closet behind folding doors. The frame is very solid and was easy to install. The written directions were not accurate but it was easy to figure out. i mounted this bed to the floor and then had the room carpeted. I attempted to work with this company to resolve the dozens of issue I encountered while installing the murphy bed I received. The were very slow in responding (2+ days per each question) and tried to find something I did wrong for every issue I encountered. I eventually learned that they manufactured the pieces that sent me incorrectly, sent me old directions, and failed to update their directions to reflect the modifications I requested (wall mount and deeper mattress) which resulted in damage to my wall. I have complained multiple times and even submitted a complaint to the better business bureau but they have refused to work with me to resolve the issues I encountered. read more

Just had my second Wall Bed installed by Murphy Bed Depot. They arrive on time, clean-up and installed a quality product. Our two bedrooms get very little use but we wanted to have beds in them when our family and friends visit. So we can use the rooms as an office and a craft room when we do not have company.
