I told the sales lady I was moving my elderly 85-year-old aunt with dementia to an assisted living home in Dalton on August 16, 2024. On August 6 I received a call from a friend of ours, saying they were moving out of town and would be moving their family member, who lived in the same assisted living home and wanted to know if we would be interested in a lift chair for free. I told them we would as long as I could stop the purchase of the one I had purchased a few days earlier. I called Linderman's, told them the story and the salesperson told me there would be a re-stock fee. I did not ask how much, I assumed it would be $25 to $50 fee. I would have been glad to pay that amount. Now you have to remember this chair has not been moved from their showroom or warehouse. THEY CHARGED US 15% OF THE TOTAL SALES PRICE, TOTALING $110.00. I told the sales lady when I went by and picked up the check, I would never purchase another item from their company and I would make sure I broadcast this to everyone that I know. I was not a new customer off the street. We had bought furniture from them in the past. Again I expected to pay some type of fee, but I find this is a ridiculous fee knowing the circumstances.

We walked in and were greeted by Cindy...make sure you ask for her! She was great...I'm a very picky person and asked tons of questions and she never made me feel rushed or like I was bothering her... (I appreciate that so much in customer service because I'm neurotic and I can feel my husband rolling his eyes behind me)....she showed us around for probably 45 minutes...the mattresses were so comfortable and allot less than i expected...she didn't go right to the most expensive...she really made me feel like she had our best interest in mind....in fact, a couple of them I wanted to tie to the roof of my car right then because I was scared I wouldn't find and deal or another sakes rep like that...but it's five hours away from my home and that wasn't possible... when I told Cindy we lived where we did, she said that wouldn't be a problem AT ALL! She explained she could ship anything I liked to me when I needed it! I was so excited because when I have a good retail experience, I of course want to support that business and the sales rep. Plus I'm not near any Murmaid mattresses down here.... Well here we are a couple of weeks later and we are getting ready to have custom beds built for our guest quarters and for when we have adopted our new children... when I checked in with her a couple hours ago, she remembered me immediately and even Gave me her personal cell number so I could send her pics of the beds we are building so she could find the perfect mattresses for us...can you believe that? I did however move with my bed frame so I was half way there! I had exactly 30min to find a mattress, throw it in the back of my Uhaul, and return the truck in time for "no extra time fee"! I went to Yelp and looked up 'mattress outlet' and Mattress outlet of Chattanooga came up! I saw there were no reviews yet but the pictures spoke for itself and it also was the closest place to my location...I knew I had "literally" 30min so I called first and said just that. A nice man answered and I said "I'm in a bind and need to return this truck in 30min please pull out your best firm mattresses for me so I can make a quick decision"- he said "I'm already on it" and I made my way to them! When I walked in the owner looked at me and said "do you need a mattress in 30min" and I said "well now I need it in 15"- he motioned me over to the section with the firm mattresses & helped me decide. I was so appreciative! I fell in love with his firm mattresses called the Genisis...firm but comfortable with a cooling-type top! The owner also showed me an awesome mattress protector top that (if purchased) would withhold the warranty preservation of any type of water damage. So I grabbed that too! In and out in 10min!
