Michelle did my taxes for several years and suddenly I was audited by IRS. When I went to her for help she told me to send her paperwork and after several messages she just ghosted me! I sent text after text after text, with no reply! My due date for filing my paperwork expired and now having to deal with IRS on my own. Her lack of professionalism is disgusting! She didn't even have the common courtesy of letting me know that she wasn't going to help with a problem that SHE KNEW Of, and never advised me differently. I've been a faithful customer of Murillo's Tax Service for years. Fortunately, they have upgraded to a bigger and brighter office. One of the great things about this family run business is the flexibility in hours that they are open. I enjoy being able to come in after work and get my taxes prepared without having to wait in a long line with everyone else on the weekend. All of the preparers are knowledgeable and courteous (hence my repeat business here). If you experience any problems with your filings, Murillo's is great because they keep files of your paperwork, and handle everything for you (whether it is during the tax crunch time or later in the year- it doesn't matter, they are truly there to help you). There are also a number of preparers, so you aren't waiting all day (or night) to get your taxes done. The office has two decent sized televisions, plenty of chairs and a good selection of magazines to keep you comfortable while you are waiting. My family and I have been going to Murillo's Tax service for about 10 years now. They have been great year after year. They even went above and beyond helping me with my school loan paperwork and making sure I got the proper deductions that was missed from a previous year by my old big box tax preparer. I like not just being a number but actually having someone who cares working with me on my taxes and clearly explaining everything. I have been getting my taxes done at Murillo's Tax Service for eight years and will be coming back without question next year. They have the personal service that you just aren't going to get at the big box stores and they'll work with you and your individual situation to get your finances right so when tax time comes around, you're prepared and have done the ground work for the best refund or most complete filing possible. I always get good advice from them and now keep better records and receipts per their instructions. They really know their stuff and even if you're not in their area, it's close to the orange line and worth the drive. There is plenty of street parking and the waiting room (the times I've been there) is neat, professional and never too packed. I was a client at this tax firm for approximately 10 years and actually thought they did a fairly good job until 2016 when I had problems with them sending my illinois, Arizona returns. I called and left numerous messages with Julie Gamez which was always a chore for her to return my messages but when the states are saying they aren't receiving the returns and they are done electronically Murillo's has to take the responsibility to make sure this gets done. On May 27, 2018 I received a from the IRS that there was income that wasn't reported on my federal tax return. Once again I notified Julie Gamez who was the tax preparer and waited 3 days until she finally responded. She said I needed to email her the letter and everything I had for that year. I followed her request but she never got back to me. I left her numerous messages and finally she responded on Thursday 5/24 and said she had a headache!!! Really ? I said and I have a big headache the IRS IS CRAWLING UP MY BUTT!!! She said will get back to me after Memorial Day weekend!!! Guess what she never did and today is 6/3 /18 and I had to retain a new tax person to figure out why she never put all my income on my tax return for 2016!!! My advice to you considering Murillo's Tax Service is don't hire them please!! They are absolutely unreliable and incompetent!!!! I ended up paying the IRS $1746.00 plus that year over $2,000.000 for a total of $3746.00. Murillo's is horrible . They are incompetent ! Period ! read more

I thought I was one of the few that could be audited from their office but now looking at their Yahoo Ad listing I see I am not alone by been audited after doing taxes with them. Mr. Murillo did my taxes for 4 years, at first I thought he was good. He would use his tricks of "experience" here and there and since I was referred to him by another business owner I thought he knew what he was doing. Nightmare began..... 1st Audit started 8/2011 for 2009, then 2010 year audit also came by. He always said he would stand by me if an audit would arise. I informed him right away as soon as I received the 2009 audit request and then I had to chase him to go over the documents he would need for the audit appointment so he could review them and let me know if he needed anything else. He wouldn't check his e-mails that I thought he would be paying attention because of the severity of my case. Turns out he couldn't make it to the appointment and cancelled it the very same day, ok my audit was rescheduled, finally he met the IRS agent left all my paperwork with her and failed to give me updates on all the mail copies he was receiving, it's like the IRS would be getting in contact with him but he would NEVER EVER let me know anything if it's not because I was also receiving the same mail, then I would start again chasing him to let me know what was next, HE WAS LOST on what was next because I guess many clients. I paid him his audit fee and switched accountants. So he never stood up by me if an audit arised as he said. His family run business is only good for small W-2 employees but not for small business owners. He wants to make the client happy right on the spot by using his experienced tricks, but once you really need from him it's like he doesn't know you and forgot all tricks he used to make that tax return. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TAX ACCOUNTANTS, FIND SOMEBODY ELSE WORTH THE PRICE OF WHAT HE CHARGES. UNHAPPY EX-CUSTOMER......AUDITED 2 YEARS. read more

Nice people that help you get the most out of your return. The price of filing your return depends on your tax return , we paid $130 ( includes $20.00 state filling). I had done my taxes on Turbo Tax, but noticed I was going to end up paying federal & state taxes so I stopped and went to Murillo's. I'm glad I came in because I ended getting back money for federal and only owing a few hundred dollars for state. read more

We have gone to them for years and years and we I mean and my whole family have been audited by the IRS. And it was not our mistake especially my fathers. On the contrary the fault was the person who was suppose to know what she was doing. They put the #'s in the wrong place and did not bother to call back when contact of the situation as a matter of fact we called severl and numerous time and they never retunred a call back . When we were able to speak to Mr. Murrilo he was going on vacation and said to call the IRS and ask for an extension. Oh I did but to go to another accountant to get assitance and met with the IRS that explained all the mistakes Murrillo made. And till this day we have yet to recieve a call back. We as a family have paid and are paying in total over 100K$$$ audits dating back from 05 till 08 Use caution and go somewhere else.... read more

yes it does get busy, yes there is a wait, but what do you expect when you get your taxes done during tax season?! this was my first year getting my taxes done by Murillo's & michelle did a phenomenal job at helping my every needs. she not only did my 2014 taxes but also helped me in doing my 2012 ones which come to find out were never sent by the person who did them. she knew exactly what to do and answered my every question. she only charged me for this years taxes which was a big help. i would definitely recommend this family owned company. read more

This year was my first time going to Murillos Tax Service and my experience there was horrible. First off we had an appointment for 10 am and my wife and I ended up waiting like over an hour to get service. Then "grandpa" as they call him over charged us. He said our taxes would be deposited within 3 weeks. When the 3 weeks were up we still didn't have our refund everytime I called to ask what had happened they never had a valid explination or they were always busy.. well now it turns out that our taxes were filed wrong and now we owe the IRS. This place is very unprofessional and I will not be returning nor recommending it to ANYONE!! read more
