I dont know who that pretty blonde GILF is there, but she is a hottie. I'm proud to be a Murfreesboro native, as long as she's here.

There was some craziness going on in our neighborhood (and we live in a very good area of town). Apparently, a man and his wife were in a domestic dispute, and swat had to be called in to take him out. Since we couldn't get to our home for 4 plus hours, my son and I went to dinner, and then to the greenway for some exercise. As we were walking, he was playing Pokémon Go collecting whatever they collect in that game and conducting "raids." I was just enjoying my time with him and the serene view and calm water of the stones river. We even had a rock skipping competition which was fun too. After about an hour or hour and a half, we headed back to our neighborhood and we're able to finally get into our home. Unfortunately, we heard that the man had to be shot and killed by swat.

Clean trails, lots of open space (which made me feel safe), lots of people/pets out enjoying the pathways, waterfalls, small bridges, overlooks, the constant sound of moving water, and fresh air. I'll be back for sure!

We booked our trip with BOF when things seemed to be getting a little better despite the pandemic…read more As seasoned distillery tourists, my friend and I were excited to check out some places in TN while we were in town, but didn't want to have to worry about driving ourselves or ride sharing due to distance between places. When I found BOF I knew we'd be in good hands. We booked the 3 distilleries + winery option (best bang for our buck and best way to see multiple places). But as our trip drew closer, the restrictions on bars and places began to return. About a week prior to our visit, BOF alerted us that we either would have to do just 1 distillery and the winery or we could get a refund completely. Since this experience was part of the whole reason we chose Nashville, we decided to back down to just the 1 distillery option. The company was great about keeping in contact with us up until the day. We met the bus at the designated pick up location, got inside, introduced ourselves and then the door closed and the wheels started moving. We were shocked that they kept our reservation - we were in a party bus and it was just the two of us! We were told we could bring roadies (we opted for coffee because we're old and needed the mid-day pick-me-up) and the bus was stocked with water and snacks. Off we went to our distillery - Corsair. It was a very cool brick building, and our guide (I wish I could remember her name, so sorry) got us checked in. Since we were about 30 minutes early, we had time to explore the rest of the building/shops which was a bonus. After the fantastic tour and tasting, we re-boarded and began our drive to Arrington Winery. Although any $ spent at Arrington is not included in the cost of BOF, it was totally worth it to have them take us there. It is a bit of a hike and I wouldn't feel comfortable driving myself back to downtown after a visit there. We had about 1.5 hours at Arrington which was perfect for some tastings, a glass of frose and some snacks. Our driver was safe, and super nice. Since it was just the two of us, we asked if she could drop us off direct at our hotel (about 2 miles away from the determined location) and she did, which saved us an additional UBER ride, so thank you! I look forward to whenever everything opens back up and we can book another tour with them again to try out some new places!

The only thing I would recommend is that we could've maybe stayed a little longer...but it was enough for a bottle of wine! Also, I left my Quay sunglasses on the bus...they were kind enough to send them to MA for me :)

From the moment you step onto it, the view of the river and skyline is breathtaking especially at sunset when the lights start to dance off the water. The bridge itself feels open and welcoming, perfect for a leisurely stroll, a thoughtful moment, or an iconic photo op. It's peaceful yet energized, a great way to experience the city from a fresh perspective and soak in those Nashville vibes. Whether you're there in the early morning calm or with the city lights aglow at night, this bridge is a must see and absolutely earns five stars. The bridge connects Two Rivers Park to the Nashville Greenway, and offers gorgeous views of the Cumberland River no matter the season. Every time I am on the bridge, there is some sort of photo shoot going on whether it be amateur or professional, and I bet the photos turn out amazing! Getting to the bridge can seem tricky, but best bet is Two Rivers Park, which leads you right to the bridge from their main lot just off of Briley Parkway. It's a landmark of the start and end of all my walks from Two Rivers onto the Greenway, and I enjoy crossing it any chance I get!

I made my way onto the Greenway via the Kohl's trailhead, which is an entrance found at the back end of the Kohl's department store parking lot. It's not glamorous, but gets the job done. At this entry point you are directed under, around and onto the Bob Sheehan Memorial Bridge. As you walk this path, you are next to the Stones River, as well as Lebanon Pike. Once you get beyond the immediate area, you finally hit the trails. The trails are a collection of pathways from wide roads between the river and neighborhoods, to slimmer walkways in the woods. There is not one identity for the trails here, and they seem kind of pathed together. But even so, they get the job done for those who enjoy walking, jogging or biking. Additionally, Ravenwood Park can be found just a half mile or so down the trail from the Kohl's trailhead. While I didn't not explore this park, it too has an interesting history. There is a lot of construction happening along large stretches of the trails, mostly that of new neighborhoods. This takes away from the nature aspect of the greenway, but I get it... Overall, the Stones River Greenway Trails get the job done. I prefer other stretches of the greenway such as those near Two Rivers, but when in the area or just needing a change of scenery, this portion of the trail is a decent option.
