    Delicious brownie a la mode!!

Great service. Beautiful place, great food. The patio is very relaxing but they only serve a small menu outdoors. Full menu indoor. However, staff were amazing. I had a long stressful day and they were accommodating and let me eat outside. The salmon was very flavorful. For dessert I had the brownie a la mode and it was delicious. You need to try this place !!

Average riverside restaurant. Only had to wait about 20 minutes, at 6:00 on a Friday with a group of 7. Was looking forward to the Walleye that I had heard about but bringing it in frozen from Canada, and the preparation technique, made it a little tough. Panko Shrimp was also overcooked a touch. Salads/Appetizers were brought out fast and fresh. Service was extremely fast and efficient.

We were referred this location from a friend (shout out to Casey) and he provided a heads up about the old fashioned decor and possible long wait time...but when someone says, "good steak!" I am there The service provided by Sandy and Trace felt personal and genuinely friendly. We were fortunate that there were only a few other customers in the restaurant at the time as I could see how they get busy and wait time for the meal could be long but if you like good food and are not in a hurry I urge you to check this location out. Our meat was prepared as requested and was juicy and tender. I requested my baked potato to be prepared a certain way and while they said they would do their best they didn't make any promises. The potato was cooked almost perfectly to my specifications. Overall the meal was very good and I enjoyed the experience. Some added bonuses- they had some great salad dressings and the pina colada is wonderful. Apparently the drink is a specialty of Trace. Also we added some of the white garlic salad dressing onto the potato and it was indeed the bee's knees.

The decor and vibe of the restaurant was well done. Updated and well decorated. The waitress seemed put out we were there, unfortunately she was training another waitress, continuing to train the same bad habits. We had to wait about 10 minutes between each visit she paid to our table. There were a few times I had to get her attention or find her because she kept walking by our table without stopping or acknowledging us. The food looked good and tasted...okay. My wife got pulled pork which was not fresh. It was obviously re-heated from a prior day. Had a weird aftertaste. The best things were the buffalo spring roll appetizer and the milkshakes. The waitress did discount our order due to our dissatisfaction with the food. This was good customer service. The dirty trays were never removed from our table. The trainee could've easily done this since she was hanging out at the bar talking for most of the time. This isn't necessarily her fault. This is a training and management issue. This place should be packed every day it's open. It was less than half full when we were there for dinner. This is probably due to the bad things we experienced. Management needs to step up. You're robbing yourselves, your employees, your owner and your community of something good.

The two terrific places I'd normally recommend are both gone. Think of the Roadhouse as the new man standing and standing only because there isn't much else standing around it! Food is average to above average. Average selection of beer and wine. The service and staff are the weak links in the chain, and, ultimately, why I couldn't give this place a more than 'average' review. The 'bartenders' are anything but. I was a bartender and server for years. The female staff of this place are lazy and more interested in gossip than in their customers. The male members of the staff were busy throughout and seemed much more attentive to their job than worried about anything not related to it. Good for them! I wish one of the men here would have been my bartender rather than the two women who didn't know what Tabasco sauce is or the one who told me that they "just don't have a need to have it!" You're a bar/restaurant and you don't have a need for Tabasco sauce!? If it weren't so sad and true this would be comedic! Bottom line: I'd not go out of my way to come here again. I could recommend many other places to go to in or near this neck of the woods. The Roadhouse is doomed for failure on its current course of mediocrity in both food and service. It thrives now because there is not much else for competition. Once a new player arrives that offers excellent food, outstanding service and a truly welcoming atmosphere the Roadhouse is sure to find itself as a relic left in the dust rather than a prosperous and sought after place to satisfy even the most modest foodie. If I were the Roadhouse owner I'd heed warning and get first your staff under control and go from there. If not, they will surely be the iceberg to your Titanic.

When the…read morewaitress said their was a $3.50 shared plate fee, we were like ok, what does that include as most restaurants that charge a shared plate fee give an extra side or salad or something. She said the fee was, "for a plate, silverware, and her." I asked her to give us a minute as I have never paid such a high shared plate fee to receive nothing but a plate and fork. She was going to wait on me whether my husband was there or not. When she came back we asked her to tab out the one beer he had already drank. The manager came back with our debit card in hand and told us that the only way we could eat there was to share the plate and extra $3.50 fee because it cost them money for one of us to sit there and not eat. We were fine to leave without ordering as we were not going to pay the fee for nothing. There was no need for the manager to come to our table and smart off to us about how necessary the fee was to cover the cost of his waitress, the plate, and his table. In fact, at that point there was no need for him to come speak to us at all. He was so rude and so hateful and ended his talk with, "are we finished with this conversation yet? GOOD." The fact is the restaurant had maybe five of its 20 tables full at the time. People weren't lined up to come inside the place. My husband was running a bar tab, which has the highest profit in a restaurant. I was going to buy the most expensive item on the menu. The waitress was going to get a 20% tip because that's how we work. The waitress lost out on at least $6 tip if we had only ordered one beer and food. The restaurant lost out in all the profit from food and beer. And I am writing this review. To the owner, your manager is arrogant, hateful and not very good with people. I know your town is small, I grew up in one of those towns. I also assume you don't like profit walking out the door because if he would treat someone like that, he will treat anyone like that.
