No phone call, no update, no explanation. I had to call them to find out what was wrong with my own mower. When I finally spoke with Ron, the service manager, he was short, dismissive, and unwilling to answer my questions about why a major component would fail after only two months or whether I had any options for an exchange or refund. Then my husband called, and suddenly the mower was ready for pickup. The oil change and blade sharpening I requested were never done. The manager offered excuses instead of accountability, including telling me weekends "don't count" as part of the nearly three weeks they had my mower. I bought a brand-new mower because I have a large property and needed reliable equipment. Instead, I got a major mechanical failure after two months, weeks without my mower during peak mowing season, poor communication, and dismissive customer service. Spending over $4,000 apparently does not guarantee reliable equipment or basic customer service at TERPSTRA'S. I will take my business elsewhere and would not recommend their sales or service department.

Since they are on the east coast I had to make sure I call in orders before closing. I purchased parts from this company but they do much more. I had no complaints on the quality of thier parts or the delivery time. They would typically inform us of long lead times but ask anyways. On thier website, you will note they have more to offer including equipment sales and service on equipment. Thier "technicians are dispatched 24 hours a day seven days a week, throughout the country." Finally, they have Wire-Tie systems which are used in the recycling industry. They have "L&P Wire Tie is the leading manufacturer of designed systems for wire."

Over a period of man's life he attains those things he both wants and needs…read more There is a reason usually older men own nice expensive tools, fast cars, and large waist lines. Because they've been around long enough to make enough scratch to afford those things. Sadly enough, I haven't been able to accrue the expensive tools, fast cars, and large waist line because of my relatively young age. Oft, I am left to complete side jobs, and projects on my home with out the aid of the best tools money can buy. Wirtz has come through in spades for me on several occasions when this occurs. Scaffolding, concrete cutters, portable generators they have and for a decent price. Recently I had a small side job repairing a damaged fire escape. Unfortunately my trusty Miller CST 280 machine couldn't make the trip. So i rented a portable generator welder from Wirtz. Not bad $80 per day, the only problem I encountered was the stinger on the lead was badly damaged and every once in a while I would get a nice shock, or a bright light show if I set down on the base metal. I told 'em about it and am sure they took care of it. Nice place with decent tool rentals, and courteous desk staff as well Some day I will have that nice portable generator welder,and that nice Porsche 911, and probably a much larger waist line as well, but none of that will be a reality if I don't make some money in the mean time, and when I have need for a special tool, scaffold, etc. Wirtz will be there to help put money in my pocket.
