Got a nice big snow blower a few years ago and needed service - but the machine was a bit too heavy to lift into a car and a bit too big to fit in that car ... so what to do? I looked around and found this service where they specialize in the repair of small engine machines - a perfect description of a snow blower. Looked around on YELP and found the favorably reviewed Pop's, and thought I would give it a try. Long story short - five stars. Pop's will come out and pickup and return your machine if it is a bit too big for you to lug around, so that is an extremely nice part of the service. He came out on a day's notice and grabbed up the machine, took it to his service store, and went over the whole machine to bring it up to snuff. He returned it about 6 days later and I haven't had a problem since. I will be the first to admit I got lucky. I called Pop's about 10 days before our area had consecutive days of snow. All told we got something like 24 inches of snow in the next couple of weeks, and the machine worked perfectly. I purposely waited to test the machine before putting a review up - but I can't wait any longer. Pop's service was excellent, he put the machine in tip-top shape, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. It is a family business and they do wonderful work. If you have a small engine machine with problems - snow blowers, lawn mowers, etc. - give Pop's a try. You won't be sorry. His rates are very reasonable, and his pick-up/drop-off charge is very fair. Can't not give Pop's Repair and Service enough stars for their HONESTY, professionalism, fast pick up and knowledge regarding lawn mowers. I have a John Deere SST15 spin steer lawn mower....it has it all, hydraulic, vacuum, electrical and mechanical parts that can malfunction. My John Deere Stoped turning and called Pop's to repair. It was picked up on Wednesday and delerived back Friday night... I had to ask twice what the repair bill was --so reasonable I wanted to give them extra money and they refused. I want to recommend Pop's Repair & Service. Last year we were looking to buy a used snowblower and we went to his shop. It was the Friday before a big storm and he sold the last one 10 minutes before we got there. Jon spent 20 minutes telling me what to look for and what to stay away from. I found one on Craigslist and I had the nerve to ask him what he thought He actually answered me and told me it was a good one. This week my husband couldn't get it started and I called Jon (has free pick up/delivery service for a certain area.) He stopped by fixed it in my drive (it was very minor) and didn't charge me for his time. You don't find people like Jon anymore.
