After my father-in-law's accident, police had his vehicle towed to Munroe Auto Body without asking his preference. When insurance attempted to retrieve the vehicle, we were presented with charges far beyond what insurance considers reasonable, including: * $350 winch fee (insurance allows $100) * $125 fuel surcharge * $750 flatbed tow * $525 administrative fee (insurance allows $150) * $275 cleanup fee * $125 per day storage fees accumulating while release was being arranged Despite explaining the financial hardship this created, the business was unwilling to work toward a reasonable solution. Communication with the owner was dismissive and unprofessional, and the situation was portrayed as our fault for the insurance company we use. Accidents are stressful enough without facing excessive fees and unhelpful treatment afterward. I would strongly advise others to ensure they control where their vehicle is towed if possible. read more

His customer service level went down as soon as I told him I was going to take my car versus leaving it there so he can keep charging the insurance company. Buyer beware! I gave these guys $2041 to fix my nephew's Mitsubishi Outlander after it blew a head gasket. They tried to repair it but couldn't. They promised to replace the engine but didn't. When I asked them and corporate for at least a partial refund, they said sorry, we used all the money trying to repair the car. NO REFUND. During my conversations, I found that the original mechanic and site manager had left so no one knew what had happened. Also, the car was broken into while on site. read more

This place is a rolling scam preying on unwitting people in difficult situations (ie. right after a collision or vehicle breakdown) to take every penny you have. My son was in an accident and Munroe's scurried in like cockroaches to tow it to their shop. Unfortunately we had no idea what we were in store for at that time and once they get their hooks in your car it's already too late. Either get a second job or hope and pray that your insurance company will submit to their mafia style handling and just pay to the tow bill (which includes $60 a day storage fees! ) and came to almost $2000 DOLLARS! They know how to delay the process which gets them another $60 for every day that it sits there. This place truly is the scum of the earth and gives legitimate honest shops a bad rap. Excellent service and repair! The tow truck was at the scene of the accident within minutes of my call. They handled everything with the insurance and called me with updates. My daughter got in a fender bender in beaver. She is has only been driving for a year. The cops told her to have these guys tow the car from seen. They never asked were to have it towed to so the kept it hostage at their facility. The next day I came to get an estimate on the damage . They were outrageous. So I said I would pay for the tow and drive the car away. They charged $50 a day for storage . It was their for 24 hours but charged me for two days. This guy is not a math major and got verbally abusive when I called him out on it. He also tried scamming me out of the car by saying to bring him the title and slip him a hundred dollar bill and we would be even. What a crook. This guy takes advantage of people. How does he sleep at night. Must not have a conscience. Total dirt bag. Don't go there. read more

How often has a repair shop done something for you for free? I brought my noisy car in here and they found that it was not the exhaust, instead a piece of metal was vibrating so they welded it back in place and charged me nothing. A year ago I brought the car in because some portion of the exhaust system was identified as bad during an inspection. Munroe found that a mis-diagnosis had taken place and the problem was less serious than anticipated. They diagnosed my problem free of charge, fixed my transmission at very reasonable costs and treated me like a regular customer even though i was 60 miles from home in an antique diesel benz.
