Do not use this business Like a few remarks below -I too took jewelry into Munn's to sell. I was told they keep the jewelry 2-5 days before taking any action on the jewelry. I called immediately the next morning as soon as the store opened I told them I wanted to keep a piece of jewelry I had left with them. They had already removed the stones from the ring. I recently popped in here to get a watch repaired and got great customer service by the gentleman who assisted me. Since it was in the evening after work hours, he was able to take care of the issues while I waited. (Not sure if that is the case usually). I browsed the expansive selection in the glass cases and found potential items to come back for. The other staff I encountered were friendly and professional. I called around to several places to check out a tennis bracelet I bought online to verify it matched the appraisal. Munn's was the only one out of about five local shops that I called that would check it out for me. The bracelet ended up being fake, and I'm in the process of returning the bracelet through the online retailer. I tried to pay Munn's for their troubles and they wouldn't accept payment. I wish I could separate the work that they do from their customer service. The woman who generally greets you is the kindest woman and Chris Munn is accommodating beyond anyone I've ever met in customer service. With that being said, let me clarify why I had to give two stars. Buyer Beware!!! I am recently engaged and my fiancée had sent out for my ring. The ring was gorgeous but a little too large since he wanted a surprise engagement. I've heard horror stories about mall jewelers and the like so my mother in law suggest a local business which brought us to Munn's. They had the repair done in 5 days but when I picked it up something was a little off. Upon inspecting the ring at home, my band was "warped" and uneven. Usually, when downsizing a band, you just remove a small portion, reattach the ends and cover the line with another metal. The line was obvious. The band is substantially smaller as if they removed some of the gold as well. The metal they used to cover the line was discolored after only a few hours of picking up the ring. They did give us our money back for the ring, but I've sent it out to the company that made the ring to have it fixed. read more

Just purchased on of the beautiful MDG swiss watches from Chris, at Munn's, on Wednesday and I love it! Took off my Rolex after 15 years for this beauty! Worth a look if you like unique designs. I went to Munn's Diamond Gallery to inquire about resizing a ring. Immediately I observed the friendliness of this business. They took a great deal of time to determine my proper ring size as my knuckle was swollen. Then they resized the ring and polished it on the spot. My wedding band looked brand new. I of course expected to pay a fee but I was told "no charge". A fee quoted from another jewelry store was $60.00. I highly recommend Munn's as a store who knows how treat a customer. Do not use this business. I took gold in for the meltdown for cash and paid for the stone removal, as I had several items that needed to have the stones taken out. I went back for the pickup and realized that 2 ruby stones were missing(better stones than the others which were only semi-precious) The owner swore(he worked his a** for my stone removal) and told me that he removed all the stones that I had and I just wish I had taken pictures beforehand. He pretended to hunt through all his stones but I knew that he had taken both rubies. Use someone else for all gold turn-in, unless you take your stones out yourself first. read more

My husband bought my engagement ring & wedding band there, we had the ring re-done by a Munn's "certified jeweler" & seemed ok but now it's not wearing very well at all & never did wear that great for a 18K designer ring. I was told that this ring is not an every day ring to wear; so my question would be "why have a ring that you cannot wear 24/7 when you are married." When I'd go in I'd always get the "look" from most of the women that waited on us, like it was my fault. I took them to a Carlisle jeweler that is reputable & was told that the repair done on this ring was deplorable & that Munn's just used some sort of gold mixed process work & milgrain work was a terrible job and that they shouldn't even be fixing rings at all! We then took the ring to Higashi's b/c they deal with the designer. The master at Kirk Kara's told my husband the same thing as the Carlisle jeweler did. Received the rings back from Kirk Kara's master craftsman & the rings were restored to their orginal state. To think that my husband paid a lot of money for rings that Munn's almost ruined with what material they used. My husband tried to exchange the rings initially but the owner gave us a price where my husband would be the one losing money on it & not Mr. Munn! Also my husband spoke to Mr. Munn about this issue & Mr. Munn had every excuse in the book he could give and he totally forgot or had to look up what was fixed on my rings. I'd call it an even trade if Mr. Munn or another staff member would call my husband & tell him to bring the rings back, but I'm sure that with their customer service that won't ever happen. My husband told them he didn't want to deal with them but I believe they should make it right b/c of the material used to fix the rings initially that they wore down & turned dark-yellow as I'm sure that will be blamed on me or the ring manufacturer, not their great master jeweler that fixed the rings. read more
