So, when they were at my Annex today, I decided to give them a try. Although there are a ton of options to add, I went with my go-to... classic burger dry, with tomatoes and pickles. Guys, this burger was perfection. Juicy and savory and just right. And enough for me to cut in half and save the second for supper tonight (although I really wanted to eat the whole thing right then and there!) The meal also came with fries that had a Cajun blend spice. I am from Louisiana, so this is always a majordomo test. I'm not sure which blend they created, but it is spot on fabulous. And as an added bonus, the incredibly friendly lady (I'm sad I didn't ask her name) asked if I had ever tried their avocado ranch. I had not, so she handed me some of their homemade goodness and told me to dip my fries in that. AMAZING!! And corrected me from my misguided notion that all Ranch dressings are the same. I will definitely be going back and make sure you do as well!! You will not be disappointed.

This little taco truck is clean and tidy, with a great menu. The breakfast food is yummy, with fresh homemade tortillas that are so good. Seriously, if they would let you order some tortillas by the stack I would get them. I haven't asked yet, but the ladies are so nice and accommodating I'm sure they wouldn't even bat an eye. The lunch menu is good, as well. You're missing out if you don't try that or breakfast. For breakfast or I recommend the chorizo/egg/potato taco. They're not small, but not a huge burrito. They aren't salty or under salted, but flavored really well. Ugh, my mouth is watering right now thinking about it. If you happen to be rolling through or live nearby, this is a little hidden gem, check it out! I asked their hours, and they said Monday through Saturday 7am to 3pm. They are always there when they say they will be and very consistent in their food.

Located just about a mile before Bu-cees in Bastrop, you'll find this right off of Rt 21 near the Ally Medical Emergency stop. Stopping here on my way back from AUS on a Sunday in early September, it was about 830AM, just in time for breakfast. So breakfast tacos were the order with a chorizo & egg plus a sausage & egg. After about 4-5 minutes, my order was finished. Digging in, the flavors are straight up fresh and tasty with the warm tortillas fresh off the grill and the eggs mixed in nicely with the other proteins. The tacos are quite large so two were enough for me. Price-wise, they are very affordable and they take credit cards too. Do not miss this when you're on 21; definitely one of the best-kept secrets in Bastrop and I look forward to returning for more when I venture out to AUS... or coming back from there!

It's a big noise because it's a busy intersection and across is a loves store. Lady I think the owner was nice and friendly. I paid $16+tax for a parrillada. It wasn't bad at all. I was actually surprised the chicken was still moist. The shrimp didn't seem rubbery/overcooked. When I opened it I thought Oh no it's gonna be just veggies but actually had a good amount of chicken, shrimp and beef The only thing I didn't like and it wasn't bad but the beans were just not flavored enough. Nothing a little salt and like can't fix. Also I got no salsa so that was sad once I made it home. Definitely going back to try something different see how the rest of the food is.
