We stopped here on the way out of town. It's a bit off the main roads so you have to know where to stop. The place was small, homey and cozy. The staff was super friendly, like you were hanging out with family. And the food was delicious! Like you were getting a good home cooked meal. The weather was crappy that day but I was so glad we stopped there to satisfy our hunger before the long drive home! read more

OK first of all I love Italian food. Anytime you want to put pasta in front of my face I will eat it. Carbs are not my enemy they are my friend! Thank you Mama Mary's for making them my friend again. Give me one of your eggplant dinners or an eggplant sub...or the manicotti... Anything on the menu. Great healthy, hearty meals for you and your kids. Especial for those busy moms or dads. Forget the pizza order take out from Mary and you won't be disappointed! read more

Love this place!!! The owner is awesome and the food is so good. I have to stop there anytime I'm in town.

This place is an absolute gem! We were traveling from Boston to the cape for a wedding and took a chance. Best Italian good I have had in a long time and probably the best lasagna EVER. Don't leave without the Peanut Butter cookies- bc they are beyond amazing. Great service, good and experience read more

Mumma Marys makes the best lasagne. Authentic Italian food cooked to order. A favorite go to place for excellent food and service.

First time here, certainly won't be the last. Good location in relation to the ballpark nearby made this a necessary stop for a test run. Soup was delicious, big serving was great for the price. Enough for two people. (Sorry, not sorry, no pics). Next up was the veal parm + pasta for $9.99. Reasonably priced and a good portion combined with the soup made their collection of desserts an unneeded extra this time around. Successful first stop, and impressed enough to add it to the list upon my return. Clean restaurant, good service. I can't speak for peak times and busy hours/days/nights but there is not a lot of seating inside. From what I could tell by the calls coming in they seem to do some really good business on take-out. Stick around and enjoy the food, and get a good view at the window seats for people watching! read more

This place is great! The food is excellent and the desserts are wonderful

If you're looking for high quality old school red sauce Italian for affordable prices with super friendly attentive service, this is the place to go! Definitely one of the better chicken Parms I've had in quite some time. Only a few tables, so I could see there being a bit of a wait for a table when it gets busy. Great little spot read more

Just had an incredible lunch with my beautiful girlfriend. Never been here before very happy with what we got. Spaghetti is incredible their sauce is amazing. Meatballs are very yummy. Next is desert cannolis and cookies :) read more

Love this place. Lasagna and meatballs are fabulous, bread is bit too garlicy for me but everyone else loves it. Small place but very comfortable to eat in or order and take out. Staff is friendly and very nice. Wish the take out didn't come in foam containers. read more

Absolutely everything at Mumma Marys is delicious! I used to work upstairs and I can safely say I have tried just about everything they offer. You will not be disappointed! read more

These were some of the absolute best subs I've ever had! We got the Italian and the chicken parm. The bread was to die for. The owner was super nice, explained how their salads were unique. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! read more

This little unexpected restaurant was a find. We were starving after a miserably rainy soccer game. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The staff was wonderful and made us feel right at home even after we over stayed out welcome staying past closing time. We took pastry home and on the advice of the staff I warmed the ricotta cookie. It was delicious beyond words!!! I hope we can make it down again - so many things I would like to try. read more

Homemade, very authentic Italian food. Been there only a couple times so far but going back real soon. Veal parmesan and meatballs were incredibly good. And desserts... it is a paradise for a sweet tooth's like me! read more

I never heard of an Italian stuffed quahog before so had to try it. This gigantic quahog was one of the most delicious I ever had. I'm not one who shares my food but I had to make sure my 3 lunch partners had a taste. The meatloaf dinner was a large portion of flavorful meatloaf. The meat was lean enough to not be greasy but had enough fat to be delicious. The pasta sauce is the best I can remember ever having. Prices are more than fair. Oh and the cannoli was perfection! Will be back often! read more

I had been looking forward to trying Mumma's food upon returning for the summer to Wareham. I'm having a party this weekend and stopped in for a menu to see if I could use a few extra dishes from Mumma's. Well, after tasting the meatballs, sausage and sauce and finishing my lunch with a beautiful "Lobster Tail" this will be my go to place. Hey, I'm on vacation, I don't want to cook anyway and since Mary's dishes are equal or better than what I can do even when you consider the price, Mumma Mary's wins...and so do I. All I can say is OMG IS MY GRAMMIE HIDING IN THE KITCHEN?! The dollar slices of pizza are HUGE and literally taste just like what my Grammie makes. I'm such a snob when it comes to pasta sauce but I will order it here. It's gooooooood. The only thing I've ordered that I wasn't a fan of was the ricotta cheese. Maybe they make their own and to each his own when it comes to ricotta. The cannoli was to die for and the stuffed peppers too. I can't say enough about how good this place is. The service is friendly and the places is very clean! read more

Stopped in today for a quick Lunch. Food was fantastic and so was Mary! Danger, danger Will Robinson the peanut butter cookies are out of this world!! read more

I didn't get to try a lot of their food because they were still baking/cooking, so I just went with a cannoli, lobster tail, and white chocolate chip cookie. The cannoli was good but not as good as Mike's Pastry. (which is a must stop if your in Boston) But the white chocolate chip cookie was one of the best I've had. So I'm def. looking to go back and try more of their menu. read more

A really enjoyed this Italian CAFE a lot, with homemade flavors and a modern, interesting decor. This place is located on Main St and is easy accessible due to available parking on the street and in parking lots. This place stresses that it is a cafe, not a restaurant, so the decor is basic, with the typical tablecloths, four tables, paper settings, and a chalkboard with their interesting, authentic menu. The service was great, chatty, professional, and helpful when ordering. The menu consists of homemade soups, salads, Italian appetizers, grinders, sandwiches, and "Mumma Meals" which are pasta and meat dishes. We started off with a nice garden salad, which was a great deal and a hefty portion. Everything was fresh. The lettuce was crispy, the onions and tomatoes were nice, the dressing was yummy, and their garlic bread was amazing! I had the chicken parm with penne. The portions are the biggest, but the prices are very cheap, so the food to price ratio is about the same as a generous Italian restaurant. The flavors were homemade and original, with a very strong organic tomato taste. The chicken was very tender and the pasta was cooked perfectly. There wasn't much cheese, but it was a nice meal. We had a baked ziti, which isn't on their chalkboard menu, but they do serve it. Again, portions are huge. The ziti was cooked well and they use the same sauce for most of their dishes. The dish was well seasoned. Each dish comes with a piece of yummy garlic bread. We ordered a lasagna with Italian sausage as well. The lasagna had a great consistency, although it didn't have many layers to it. The pasta was great and the sausage was seasoned well. The three entrees we had were all better than average and were quite surprising. They also have a great bakery, although by 7:30, a half-hour before they close, they were out of a lot. The bakery items are very cheap. Make sure to try their pistachio and white chocolate cookies, since they were sweet and yummy. read more

The food was fantastic! I am picky when it comes to Italian food, and this place really hits the nail on the head! We were just driving through and this little cafe made a great impression! The people were very friendly as well. The only bummer was that their menu said they offered calzones, but it turns out that they no longer make calzones. Overall, we were HIGHLY satisfied! We'll definitely return if ever passing through Wareham again. read more

A really fun little Italian restaurant with very friendly service. The lasagna is excellent, all cheese; the sausage was ok not home made. The tiramisu is also great with a nice grappa flavor. Well worth visiting if in the area. read more

We've been to this small family run restaurant twice since moving into the area. The first time was on a Sat. We had chicken Parmesan and eggplant Parmesan, both were superb. However a few months later, my wife and I had the same items on a Sunday and the pasta was way over cooked and mixed in with some el dente pasta. We also noticed that the owner was not there and perhaps fill-ins were cooking the food. I may try this restaurant one more time but not on a weekend. I would say the first time it was a four and half stars and the second time one and half stars. read more

Had the chicken cutlet, hubby had chicken parm. Delish! Very fresh ingredients and great service.

My wife and I finally got a chance to stop in to this new spot in Wareham, after being enticed by the menu, and our love of Italian food. Sorry to say, we were disappointed! I got the Veal Parmesan with ziti. The portion size was great for the price of $8.99. However the tomato sauce was awful. It was very acidic, so strong that I could not finish the meal. (which never happens). The piece of veal was a good size and fairly thick, however it was also very dry, when covered with the tomato sauce only made it less appetizing! We had gotten the food as take out, otherwise I would have returned it. My wife got the chicken, broccoli and ziti. Her chicken was heavily breaded which deteriorated leaving bare flavorless chicken. She was not impressed! The restaurant looked and smelled great. the chatter we had heard was that the place was very good. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. We'll see if we will try them again in an effort to support a local business. read more

Found this little gem on Yelp. It's unique in that it's a little cafe with 6-8 nicely set tables, with takeout and a bakery case. We got a stuffed quahog which was fabulous. I never had one with sauce and cheese on it. It was really good. We then had ravioli and stuffed shells. They weren't homemade but you would never know it! I make homemade pasta and this is as close as you get. I was disappointed that there were no lobster tails left in the bakery case since they had been posted on Facebook. I tried two of their cookies and they were ok but I think that's just an individual taste. Kind of expensive; 3.60 for two cookies but the pasta plates were very reasonable and they don't skimp. There was enough leftover sauce to cover another whole plate of pasta. The sauce was excellent! Don't hesitate to go if you want authentic. We would definitely return. read more

We got 4 platters. Cheese lasagna, meatballs, meat lasagna, chicken parm and garden salad. We picked it up hot and it stayed hot all day. Great food... Mary is an awesome cook... We Def will be back... Thank you so much for making it fresh this morning and everyone loved it... read more

The very BEST lasagne I have ever had!! The red sauce is SO rich & flavorful and the layers have just the right amount of cheesiness. Great people too!
