I still remember a mint sauce that they made, that I am still to this day searching to find a mint sauce as good or even similar- out of the 100's of indian restaurants that I have been to- none come close to comparing. It's not just the mint chutney- Taj Mahal had these prawns in this tandoori meal that I have never found another restaurant that can compare to those either. Lamb dishes are so good I've never in any restaurant tasted lamb meet so good and tastefully prepared. Things as basic as naan are the best I've ever had. Credit card accepted without weird looks and that's a great benefit for international travelers in Germany. Keep it up guys I will be back the next time I'm in town!!!

One of the best Indian restaurants of Nürnberg has now finally come to Erlangen as well, as they opened a new restaurant where once the Alberts used to be. The location is simply brilliant, right next to a huge parking lot and near the Martin-Luther-Platz, with indoors and outdoors seating and really nice decoration. The food is just as amazing as before, so far I tried the Chicken Jalfrezi and Beef Curry, which were both absolutely delicious. The food is served with Basmati Rice and if you oder some Naan bread on the side and a Mango Lassi to quench your thirst, you'll have entered my own personal kind of heaven! The staff is much nicer than in the other restaurant, very attentive but they don't hover around, and extremely friendly! Don't be surprised, they will put the first two spoons of rice on your plate for you! Should you not be able to finish your lunch/dinner, they will also be quite happy to give you a "doggy bag" so you can take the rest of the food home with you (makes for a great breakfast!) =) They also offer their lunch deal here, from 11:30 to 14:30, which includes a salad or soup as starter and one of the main dishes. It is rather cheap and definitely enough for one person. But you can always go for the normal dishes instead, which range between 10-12 €. The choice is huge and it took me ages to decide - so many mouth-watering dishes to choose from! Upon ordering the bill you will always receive a little something, either sweet tea (sweet is an understatement) or a tiny dessert - fantastic! We shared and appetizer of breaded chicken and cauliflower that came with three different sauces. For my main course I had a chicken salad. It was amazing! When you think of a chicken salad you think of some bland chicken on top of some lettuce, but this was tender chicken with Indian seasoning on it that tasted a bit like curry but more like barbeque sauce. The Naan was hot and freah right out of the oven and was very good. Overall everyone really enjoyed the meals and hospitality. I gave this restaurant 4 stars because the service was a bit slow but overall very efficient. Great meal, great place and I will be coming back.
