Stumbled across Burger Lounge due to my little monster craving for some burgers for dinner. A quick…read moresearch online led me here... Let me start off by saying I initially thought Burger Lounge would be great but heading to the closest In N Out would be just as good and at a fraction of the cost. Luckily for me, my little one refused my attempted coaxing. Parking was a breeze given the fact that the lot is massive- perfect for the neighboring businesses and the busy foot traffic coming and going. Our party of three were immediately greeting with a smiling young gentleman standing behind the register. At first glace, the restaurant was massive is size, very spacious, modern, and 100% well kept/tidy. Seating and decor was simple enough but still had a classiness to it. We placed our order with the smiling gentleman [whom I learned was ANDREW]. Dinner consisted of: *KIDS MEAL: Cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, and EXTRA pickles *BACON BLEU BURGER *TRUFFLE-MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER *LARGE HALF & HALF [ tallow fried onion rings + fries] *DRINK Food: I kid you not, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The order was made beautifully- presented well and cooked flawlessly. A+ for taste and presentation, which I totally didn't expect. Brioche buns were fluffy yet charred just enough on the grill to house all of the ingredients. The patties were flavorful and juicy. The goodness didn't stop there- BD mentioned Burger Lounge's onion rings being the BEST he's ever had!! Quality is absolutely undeniable. Above all, this burger joint runs smoothly thanks to the incredible staff. Each and every person we encountered was kind, polite, and so very eager to help with whatever requests. The only complaint I had was the terrible internet connection. Come here expecting to put your phones/tablets down even if you don't want to. LMAO. 5/5 stars but I'd easily give them so much more. Dinner was absolutely delicious and I am so sad that this particular Burger Lounge is soooo soooo far from home. I will 100% make it a habit to stop by whenever I happen to be in the area- THEY ARE TRULY THAT DAMN GOOD!!

Santana Burger medium rare was 5 stars all the way, and the fruits that accompanied it were damn…read moregood as well. The Kern brewing Chuuuch IPA was also 5 stars for my taste buds. And our server was fantastic. So why, you might ask, only 4 stars in my review. Two reasons: 1). Management has prohibited giving a splash of a beer for someone to sample. Bottom line is that I wanted to order a pint of beer, but I wanted a splash of a couple of beers to try to make my decision. They refused, saying that one must buy a 5oz taster if one wants to taste the beer. I find that policy offensive. In the end I bought a taster to taste the Chuuurch, and then bought an additional pint after. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

After hearing mixed reviews about the food I was hesitant to give this place a try, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The chorizo, bacon, and sourdough bread were all high points, especially the chorizo. The coffee was very good as well, with free refills. The eggs (both over-easy and omelette) were completely unseasoned which was a little odd, and the potatoes were just ok. The option to sub the regular hash for sweet potato and beet hash was interesting, but a little bland. Service was good and the food came out quick on a slow weekday morning. I'm not sure i'd wait in the long line that I often see outside Harbor Breakfast on a Saturday morning, but i'm glad to have a casual diner like this in Little Italy and hope to be back some time soon!

She said as gone for five minutes until an older lady attended us and took us to our booth. We waited 20 minutes just for anyone to ask us for drinks.. the waitress never asked us , we had to approach her. Food then proceeded another 40 minutes to wait. The older lady then freaked out to not have my dog sniff her as she is allergic. I am always going to respect another persons health issues but it was said in a rude tone. I'm sorry but if you are reaching over to give us our beverages, I would appreciate you letting me know ahead of time that you're allergic to dogs so I can make sure my dogs don't get near you for your own safety and health. The food was okay but also not terrible. For the price we paid for, I would have rather spent it elsewhere due to the lack of service and unwelcoming of the resturant.

The restaurant itself closed its doors permanently today and I thought it'd be a disservice to not at least leave a review and mark of what Shores Diner was. Shores Diner was a place with a uniquely lively atmosphere on campus, it's emulation of the old 1900's diner aesthetic with the neon lights was cozy and the colorful decor was both eyecatching but not in the overbearing way. It was the perfect spot to relax and chill when stuff like classes or other stressors in life were at their highest. The food itself was well-priced, with the average cost being around the $9-$12 dollar margin, although I haven't tried everything on the menu I can attest that their burgers were juicy and well seasoned, their hotdogs were flavorful with good mixins, and their loaded fries were both crunchy and topped with good sauce and toppings. Though I think the number one thing to mention is the service and employees there. Unlike most other spots on campus, the diner style of Shores was far more interpersonal and it allowed you to have small talks with the staff, far different from the newer style of food places where you simply order and leave. To put it simply, the people who worked at Shores were not only some of the best with customer service, but you could also see the good in them as people as you talked with them as well. The bartender as well as the cooks in the back were amazing at what they did. It sucks to see this place go, but not much to do about it now. I'll miss this place dearly.
