Staff were warm and friendly, and we were immediately served complimentary bread, oil, olives and a jug of fruit-infused iced water - top marks for the welcome! Service and wait time was no issue as we were the only folks dining there (unsurprising as 3.30pm IS an odd time to be eating I suppose). I tried 4 of the tapas dishes - Guiso de Garbanzos (a slow-cooked chickpea stew in a herby tomato sauce), Tempura Vegetal (bite-size pieces of broccoli, cauliflower, courgette and carrot coated in a light crisp batter and served with a sweet chilli dip), Patatas Bravas (a tapas staple, this one was like roast potatoes with a thick tomato sauce on top), and a tapas-sized serving of the Paella de Verduras (which differed slightly from the description in the menu - no courgette or aubergine, but the mix of broccoli, carrots, peas, peppers and delicious savoury rice was fine without). The restaurant is fully licensed, however I had a nice fruity mocktail as I was out with the car. We really enjoyed the meal and I'm sure we'll be back again.

I was here last month to try the Spanish menu of the restaurant…read more I was pretty impressed about how the restaurant makes you feel in a real Spanish restaurant, decoration, free nibble while you wait for your main courses etc. We ordered: champiñones al ajillo (mushsrooms with garlic) morcilla rebozada (black pudding), gambas rebozadas (prawns), croquetas y carne guisada (lamb cubic). The best one was the lamb, really similar as the Spanish, and really tasty. Mushrooms and prawns were really good too and with the same elaboration as in my country. The less Spanish for us were the croquetas and morcilla, croquetas because the inside wasn't as creamy as they suppossed to be, and morcilla because in Spain most of the time we eat in smaller quantity and just themselves without the tempura. We also tried one of the wines from our region in Spain (12£) the bottle and was soooo good! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are nearby Paisley.

I got the Houmoucide sandwich (£6.50) and my wife got the Doner Vebab (£7.50). We enjoyed both our meals very much. My sandwich was massive, filled with lots of hummus and tahini, plenty of falafel, roasted peppers, beets, rocket, sunflower seeds, and garlic sauce. It was a very messy, but very delicious, sandwich. Great stuff at a bargain price. All in all, we both really enjoyed our meal here and would gladly return.

I asked for chili but only got some sriracha sauce that didn't really fit to the rest of the meal. The kimchi itself did not convince me either. It could have needed some more days of fermentation. I'd already heard good things about their burgers but as this was my first visit I decided to be a little traditional and go for the Bulgogi Brisket Bao. Oh my heavens!! Deliciously rich beef brisket, kimchi and spring onions in a perfectly steamed Taiwanese bun, with a small side of pickled mushrooms plus a portion of Kimchi Cheese fries (because you can't have too much kimchi, right!?) had me salivating from start to finish. Freshly cooked, so close you can hear the sizzling, it was wonderful and given its within walking distance of my where I live, and is a good alternative, to the ubiquitous burgers, I can see me back here very soon (I may be planning a trip tomorrow!!). That said, they do burgers as well but as they come topped with kimchi, I'm hopefully of more good things! So, first day opened (so a slight wait was allowed as they were v.busy from the outset), and my first visit impressions were very good!! As a vegan Papa John's have so many options for topping and with the garlic sauce you dont miss cheese at all! I would love if they were to introduce a vegan cheese someday though! A tip if you're looking for a sweet option is to order the cinnapie without the crumble topping and extra on the other toppings. The crumble is the only thing which prevents it being vegan so now everyone can have a dessert! The staff here are all above expectation. Very friendly, helpful and always wanting to help. The kitchen bar is open during club hours too, so if you don't feel like dancing you can head on in to the kitchen and chill and/or eat and/or drink and/or play some board games at 2am!! The club is just as unique. there's parts of old furniture attached to the walls, lots of subtle nods to "The Big Lebowski" everywhere and lots of places to sit. There is a big quirky bar with all the mod cons including that lovely vintage tv playing some obscure Japanese films, of course. There's a big no frills dance area, complete with a wardrobe in the middle of the floor to dance around. There's not much in the way of flashy flashy lights, instead they have projections bouncing about the venue providing lighting changes and blasts from the pasts in the way of old footage and stuff. I've seen people stop dancing to reminisce at what they are seeing on the big projection screens. There is a nice set of standard lamps around to supply extra lighting around the tabled ares too. There is space for fowk to dance and sit and mingle with out feeling like a club, even though it kinda is. Friday and saturday nights see a good varied selection of club nights from 90's themed ones with bingo to indie stuff to b-sides to rawk to funk and everything in between. We also shared a giant endless pot of tea. This place is really a special place, the day's menu is full of charm, and the service is excellent. When I was there, the dining area was quiet with plenty of available seating, definitely not a cramped place! I hope to return sometime, it was a great experience, food and all. I liked it so much I picked up a couple of their shirts to keep the memory.
