Staff were warm and friendly, and we were immediately served complimentary bread, oil, olives and a jug of fruit-infused iced water - top marks for the welcome! Service and wait time was no issue as we were the only folks dining there (unsurprising as 3.30pm IS an odd time to be eating I suppose). I tried 4 of the tapas dishes - Guiso de Garbanzos (a slow-cooked chickpea stew in a herby tomato sauce), Tempura Vegetal (bite-size pieces of broccoli, cauliflower, courgette and carrot coated in a light crisp batter and served with a sweet chilli dip), Patatas Bravas (a tapas staple, this one was like roast potatoes with a thick tomato sauce on top), and a tapas-sized serving of the Paella de Verduras (which differed slightly from the description in the menu - no courgette or aubergine, but the mix of broccoli, carrots, peas, peppers and delicious savoury rice was fine without). The restaurant is fully licensed, however I had a nice fruity mocktail as I was out with the car. We really enjoyed the meal and I'm sure we'll be back again.

I was here last month to try the Spanish menu of the restaurant…read more I was pretty impressed about how the restaurant makes you feel in a real Spanish restaurant, decoration, free nibble while you wait for your main courses etc. We ordered: champiñones al ajillo (mushsrooms with garlic) morcilla rebozada (black pudding), gambas rebozadas (prawns), croquetas y carne guisada (lamb cubic). The best one was the lamb, really similar as the Spanish, and really tasty. Mushrooms and prawns were really good too and with the same elaboration as in my country. The less Spanish for us were the croquetas and morcilla, croquetas because the inside wasn't as creamy as they suppossed to be, and morcilla because in Spain most of the time we eat in smaller quantity and just themselves without the tempura. We also tried one of the wines from our region in Spain (12£) the bottle and was soooo good! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are nearby Paisley.

I got the Houmoucide sandwich (£6.50) and my wife got the Doner Vebab (£7.50). We enjoyed both our meals very much. My sandwich was massive, filled with lots of hummus and tahini, plenty of falafel, roasted peppers, beets, rocket, sunflower seeds, and garlic sauce. It was a very messy, but very delicious, sandwich. Great stuff at a bargain price. All in all, we both really enjoyed our meal here and would gladly return.

First impressions inside, it's small, with three small tables and a window seat (below a gorgeous stained glass cabbage!) and sparsely decorated but, more importantly, the delicious smell that greeted me promised some tasty foods! I'd already heard good things about their burgers but as this was my first visit I decided to be a little traditional and go for the Bulgogi Brisket Bao. Oh my heavens!! Deliciously rich beef brisket, kimchi and spring onions in a perfectly steamed Taiwanese bun, with a small side of pickled mushrooms plus a portion of Kimchi Cheese fries (because you can't have too much kimchi, right!?) had me salivating from start to finish. Freshly cooked, so close you can hear the sizzling, it was wonderful and given its within walking distance of my where I live, and is a good alternative, to the ubiquitous burgers, I can see me back here very soon (I may be planning a trip tomorrow!!). That said, they do burgers as well but as they come topped with kimchi, I'm hopefully of more good things! So, first day opened (so a slight wait was allowed as they were v.busy from the outset), and my first visit impressions were very good!! Kimchi Cult has been around for quite a while, but from what I can tell this is their first permanent place in Glasgow. I have been twice now and both times I really enjoyed my meals. Its quite a small place with only about 4 tables and I think a big focus will t be on the take away side of the buisness. First impressions were good, the staff were friendly, the place is pretty basic but does the job and the food is served very fast. The food itself is very tasty. My favourite thing so far is the bulgogi fries, which are chips with chopped beef, spring onions, spicy mayo and various Korean spices over the top. They are very very good and are like a meal in themselves. At £6.50 for fries they probably should be. The other things I have tried are the small pork belly buns and the cult burger. The buns are tasty, but VERY small. I know they are only £3.50, but I got a surprise as to just how tiny they were. The burger was tasty and filling (bacon was super salty) but im not sure I would get it again. I would probably go more for a Korean type dish and leave burgers for the long list of speciality burger places we now have in Glasgow. I will be back as I want to try the rice bowl and the chicken wings. Plus those fries with chopped beef over them are amazing. Nice, new and interesting place. Tasty food and worth visiting, but some dishes seem a bit on the pricy side for what you are getting.

As a vegan Papa John's have so many options for topping and with the garlic sauce you dont miss cheese at all! I would love if they were to introduce a vegan cheese someday though! A tip if you're looking for a sweet option is to order the cinnapie without the crumble topping and extra on the other toppings. The crumble is the only thing which prevents it being vegan so now everyone can have a dessert! The staff here are all above expectation. Very friendly, helpful and always wanting to help. I asked to have it with a tomato and mushrooms, not my favourite vegetable. Well it was an interesting taste and the tofu was weird and a bit green. I don't mind tofu but I think the texture/scramble and colour was just too weird for me. The sausages were nice but the toast was brick hard. It was massive slices of crusty bread toasted, it was impossible for me to eat so unfortunately I had to abandon. I got a real surprise moment with my tea as it was really sweet and I don't like sweet tea, I had double check if someone had snuck in sugar. I was then reminded we're in a vegan restaurant so no milk, soya only. Ahhhh! So overall it was an interesting experience, and that's not mentioning the banter. I do believe plane lap belt dancing was a topic. Hehe!! I don't know if I'd go back for the food, I really missed my meat and milk. I think if you're vegan and veggie you will love it. The kitchen bar is open during club hours too, so if you don't feel like dancing you can head on in to the kitchen and chill and/or eat and/or drink and/or play some board games at 2am!! The club is just as unique. there's parts of old furniture attached to the walls, lots of subtle nods to "The Big Lebowski" everywhere and lots of places to sit. There is a big quirky bar with all the mod cons including that lovely vintage tv playing some obscure Japanese films, of course. There's a big no frills dance area, complete with a wardrobe in the middle of the floor to dance around. There's not much in the way of flashy flashy lights, instead they have projections bouncing about the venue providing lighting changes and blasts from the pasts in the way of old footage and stuff. I've seen people stop dancing to reminisce at what they are seeing on the big projection screens. There is a nice set of standard lamps around to supply extra lighting around the tabled ares too. There is space for fowk to dance and sit and mingle with out feeling like a club, even though it kinda is. Friday and saturday nights see a good varied selection of club nights from 90's themed ones with bingo to indie stuff to b-sides to rawk to funk and everything in between. We also shared a giant endless pot of tea. This place is really a special place, the day's menu is full of charm, and the service is excellent. When I was there, the dining area was quiet with plenty of available seating, definitely not a cramped place! I hope to return sometime, it was a great experience, food and all. I liked it so much I picked up a couple of their shirts to keep the memory.
