They genuinely wanted us to understand how to care for our trees and helped us choose the right ones. When I arrived, I wasn't sure I was in the right place because it's in a neighborhood. But the greenhouses visible on the right side of the house assured me that I was in the right spot. I was greeted by a worker and she showed me the carnivorous plant section. I picked out a healthy Venus fly trap and a sundew and then spent close to an hour looking at all the other awesome plants and bonsai they have to offer. I was looking for a replacement plant from a failed bonsai class I took a few months ago so I was able to find a nice dwarf Barbados cherry as well. The experience was very relaxing and nice. The worker who greeted me also potted my carnivorous gift. Another staff member cashed me out and helped me with plant care questions. I will definitely be back as their selection is huge and the experience was nice. Prices are competitive, although I do think I got overcharged compared to their website.

I'm sure they bank of people just being too lazy to dig up plants and take them back... I gave Vander Pol a try when I was looking for a unique centerpiece that wasn't a stereotypical palm. I was SHOCKED when I saw that everything I'd bought from Home Depot was 10-25% lower at Vander Pol. Along with the lower prices, the size and health of plants from Vander Pol were better as well. I've looked at Lowes and can only speak for their prices. All higher than Vander Pol as well... Kim, John, and Marie have been INCREDIBLE along the way. I went in with a vision, and they helped with me find plants that would help me get there. I never felt like they pushed me toward the expensive plants either. I've made 5+ trips now. Nearly every time I've gone with a budget of $100 - 150 and come out with plants I loved with budget to spare. Today I was passing by and stopped to ask for guidance with plants I'd bought last summer. Even though I didn't buy anything new, they were happy help. I feel like I've built a relationship with Kim, John, and Marie that you just don't get much of anymore. I've read so many websites and lost count of how many YouTube videos I've watched. Most of the info they agreed with, but when they didn't, they took the time to explain easier and/or more effective methods to grow and maintain my plants. I don't know what Vander Pol's warranty is, but under their guidance, anything I lose will be from harsh weather or my own neglect. I've gone back to Home Depot a couple times for plants, but it was to take advantage of their warranty while the plants from Vander Pol have thrived. I can't say it enough. The service at Vander Pol can't be beat. I began the yard with 3 potted plants and I've built a back yard paradise with a lot of unique plants that were less than I expected that I'd never knew existed. They'll even special order if need be! Go ask Home Depot to do that and see how loudly they laugh... Thank you again Kim, John, and Marie. You guys have been amazing, and I look forward to working with you all again when I take on the front!

The owner needs to have a stenographer at his side to keep up with his lies. The appearance of the nursery is indicative of the owner's customer care. It looks like a run down/nasty version of what might have been a decent place at one time. The photos on the Yelp or nursery site do not, for the most part, depict the place I saw on multiple trips, Feb and March 2019, to Coleman Nursery. Again, BUYER BEWARE.
