Ana Can Help! is the newly-launched housekeeping business of Ana Gómez, a native of Durango Mexico…read morewho recently moved to the Hillsborough area after running her housekeeping business for 15 years in Boulder, Colorado. Ana is what our mothers and grandmothers used to call a real housekeeper. Not a cold "cleaning service" that shows up and does just enough and no more, often sending different people time after time, Ana offers the personal touch. First, if you're lucky, you get Ana herself who is smart, English-speaking, and sunny as a summer day. Second you not only get a clean house or office, but you get extra household services that Ana will do for an hourly fee as an a la carte add to regularly scheduled services: laundry, ironing, shopping, pet-sitting, window washing, cabinet clean out -- you name it and you can add it to your regular cleaning. And as if that were not enough, Ana's husband Erik is a skilled carpenter, plumber and handyman who's as comfortable fixing a leaky faucet as building you a new closet (which he did for us, beautifully). Honestly, I hesitate to put Ana Can Help! here on Yelp. After all, this little dynamo can only have so many clients. If you're smart, you'll get in on the ground floor. Ana Can Help! serves the Hillsborough, Durham and Chapel Hill areas. You can also book her for special event and party clean-up.

I have worked for a cleaning service, owned my bnb for 3 years. I am only putting this out there…read morebecause of the way I was treated. The one thing I asked of them was to deep clean the dog hair off of my couch and it wasn't done nor were either of the tile flooring. I have a quaint space (700 sq feet). I understand there were probably places that needed some TLC and that's where the energy went towards, however I was disappointed by their professionalism after I approached them with the situation. After a couple days, I got an email and within sentences she decided to tell me the thoughts of the cleaning ladies of my place "looks like someone was still living there... smelled like urine....cat hair everywhere... food stuck on multiple surfaces" I get it, it's an Airbnb and a deep cleaning was definitely in order, but to attack my place with no remorse or the thought that it would hurt my feelings was not professional. I am a super host on bnb and I know what it takes to clean this place, I have almost a 4.9 average rating with over 100 stays... Personally, if I ran a business and 1 of the few things that was asked of my client was not done I would make right. Instead, I felt attacked and not issued any offer of coming back and making the situation right. The best part was how she wrote down that they spent up to 20 mins on my floors and the only thing that was done was a vacuum & there were hairs and crumbs all over the bathroom and kitchen flooring. I do not write reviews often, but being charged $160 without a "hey what will make you happy" or "how can we move forward" would have been nice. I wasn't looking for a "discount" which was what she stated in her email. I was looking for an apology, ownership to possible miscommunication, any gesture towards the situation would have gone a long way.
