You know I'm from the Motor City because I love, love, love my car. And because my life depends on all its moving parts I keep it well maintained. Over the years I have taken my vehicles to numerous places for service: Ford dealership, Belle Tire, Firestone, and most recently to Mr. Muffler. While I've had good experiences at most of the above named businesses, I truly enjoy the customer service I receive at Mr. Muffler. Unlike most places, instead of just telling you what needs repair and giving you an estimate, Owner, Joe, takes the time to bring you to your vehicle and show you first hand what's broken and what it will take to repair/replace it. My first visit there happened quite by accident; I had just gotten my car back from the dealership, where while working on my car they severed my rusting exhaust pipe and didn't tell me. The day after I brought my car home I was driving down Fort Street and while stopped at a red light at the corner of Fort Street and Emmons I looked up and saw Mr. Muffler - AAA Approved sign and without hesitation pulled right in. Even though three of their four bays were filled with vehicles, after hearing my story they offered to immediately look at and replace my exhaust system instead of scheduling me for a future appointment - for which I was truly grateful. You only need to sit in their waiting room and see how they interact with their long time and new customers to know how well respected Joe and his team are. I was riding around town , my SUV sounded like a tractor, It was so loud. I stopped by Muffler Man Lincoln Park location, I was greeted by a man name Joe. He was very nice and pleasant with a great of humor. I told him what was going on and asked if he could check my car? Immediately he came out and let me know what was going on with it. He said he could fix it today. He offered take me home and pick me up when the car was ready. I laughed because that never happened to me before... I was thinking this has to be a joke. Seconds later he asked if I had time because they could fix it while I wait. I was blown away, it was done in no time. After the car was finished.. Joe took me back to show me what was done. I was really pleased most shops just send you on your way, they never show me what they done. Joe let me know that they stand by there work and it there is any problems to give him a call. Mr. Joe the owner of Muffler Man is extremely exceptional. My family has been doing business with this guy generationally for years from my Grandfather to my Mom and now me. I'm always satisfied with his service. Joe has great employees that are just as passionate about their work as he is. Not only is Joe a great mechanic he's a family man , that's why he knows how important it is to take care of each customer. "This was my third time there. I've been more than satisfied each time. Joe the Manager does a great job and doesn't try to nickel and dime you for each job. They're willing to work with what you can afford and they do not try to pressure you into anything. I have a mechanical background and after reviewing the invoice I feel that I'm getting a good value. They communicate well, calling you with questions as to how they should proceed. awful! unprofessional, and let me just say this place looks to be ran by lowlifes, some look like crackheads with no teeth, and others are covered in what appears to be prison tattoos , this shop looks like something you would find in the ghetto, they even were doing a swap probably drugs or something, I went in for a tune up. Excellent service and pricing! Had an issue with my 2010 Ford Fusion (loud audible noise coming from underneath and trouble accelerating).
