The well-trained your guide Chloee had a binder of relevant photos and graphics. This tour is an extended "show and tell" experience. The walking pace was moderate, and the guide's voice (using a portable speaker) was audible throughout the tour. We learned about Toronto's history, geography, name, culture, and diversity. Chloee made herself available to answer questions one-on-one and also in the whole-group context. She included some suggestions for follow-up activities, including a visit to Graffiti Alley. We visited that site the same day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I saw some of the most beautiful sites and learned wonderful history facts on the buildings and landmarks throughout the tour. My favorite was the amazing St. Lawrence Market! If you want to feel like you're getting your own personalized tour of a fantastic city and want to learn local tips about the Toronto food and drink scene then this is the tour for you. Luckily we had time to do a beer tasting and sake tasting too! I highly recommend this tour, I'll be back!

It was great to get to know everyone, including Sam! She was laid back but professional the whole time. We got Chinese bakery goods, coffee drinks and more pastries as part of the tour! We also got to take a break at the coffee shop, which was really nice and a good way to cool down and reapply sunscreen. I also appreciated the chance to grab a few souvenirs at the market and get photos taken by Sam. This was a really good value and the best deal I found for a Toronto food tour. I would definitely do an urban tour again!

The tour is about an hour which is the perfect amount of time for this area as it isn't huge. We had 4 other people with us so it was a pretty small tour. Our guide Caeli was great. She was enthusiastic and really had a passion for the city and it's history. She was half the fun of the tour. We learned a lot in a small amount of time. The tour ended with a couple of samples of chocolate from SOMA, which were incredible and led to us going back and purchasing some chocolates. There were also some beer samples included, and while we could have walked in and got samples on our own it was fun to do it with the group and to have Caeli's commentary while we sampled some of the different offerings. I would highly recommend the tour for anyone who is interested in history.

From booking the tour up until the meet up, everything was coordinated and communicated efficiently. We chose the free walking guided tour: ARTS, FOOD, CULTURE. And yes, you read that correctly, it was FREE! Gaby, our guide, was on time and had great energy from the start. Upon meeting her we knew we were in good hands. She was super knowledgeable and we learned a lot of historical facts. She walked us through a lot of sites off the beaten path as well as iconic landmarks. Overall it is a 2 hour walking adventure so be sure to wear comfy shoes and bring water! Of note, this tour is rain or shine. It happened to be torrentially raining the morning of our tour. But sure enough, Gaby reached out to ensure that the tour would go on. Luckily the day cleared up and we were able to explore the sites as planned. We would highly recommend choosing Guided Toronto if you're looking for a real and fun way to explore the city. It truly was a memorable experience. PS: This particular tour is F R E E. It was so nice that everything was laid out clearly. We knew how much time we had for each activity. Our first stop was to the national park. We were getting intermittent rain alternating with sunshine so it was pretty wet. Also the park is on marshlands so even more wet than normal land! lol. We got dropped off by one of the board walking trails. It's very scenic & beautiful despite the rain. The sun came out at times. So nice to get some fresh air & there were birds, frogs, fish all around. Our next stop was at the Presqu'ile lighthouse, beach & visitor center (all near each other). The beach is small & rocky but it was so nice to be near the water. After the lighthouse we got to wander around the small visitor center. It has two single washrooms, a small history room, & a small gift shop. Next was our lunch stop at the Big Apple. There are around 4 food trucks outside the main building. There's a petting zoo also. Inside the main building there are washrooms, a candy store, baked goods, souvenirs, a burger joint & a bar. I liked the big apple but it would be hard to get there without a car. I liked that we got to pay for our own lunch because that also meant we could get whatever we want. Sometimes the day trips include lunch & has a limited menu especially for people with food intolerances. After lunch we got to go to Old Mill Alpacas. Here we got to feed the alpacas, and walk the alpacas. The owner of the farm also did a quick talk about alpacas. It was very interesting! Because of the rain it was muddy of course so we got dirty but I didn't mind as I was prepared with my waterproof boots. Also short trips informed us of weather conditions in an email before the day trip. After the alpacas we had a 30 mins break for dinner at a highway enroute rest stop. Too bad these enroute places don't have better food options. Anyway short trips has no control over that. Our drop off was on time. Overall we really enjoyed our tour with short trips. We would go on another tour with them for sure. Since we don't drive or have a car this is a really nice way to see parts in Ontario we wouldn't normally be able to see.
