Vibe and décor are great, and the service was solid too. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, maybe a bit too much--sometimes less is more. I had three tacos on corn: one steak and two al pastor with cilantro and onions. The meat was pretty dry, though it did have good flavor. I'm from Chicago where tacos tend to be a lot juicier. I also tried the carne asada with green chile. It wasn't fried--just heated with green salsa poured over it. Decent flavor, but nothing mind-blowing. The place kind of reminds me of On the Border, but with a more Mexican feel. It's sorta authentic, but definitely leaning toward fast food vibes. That said, their salsa bar is awesome and definitely a highlight. If I were back home, I'd give it a 3-star rating. But considering the area doesn't have a ton of Mexican options, I'll bump it up to 4 stars. read more

This was our third or forth visit, I didn't think the food was as good as in the past. Salsa was bland, the new salsa bar was OK but nothing really jumped out as really good. I had a combo, chicken enchilada, I did nor like the sauce, beef burrito was good, pork tamale was very dry and lacked flavor. It came with standard rice and beans. We've had great food there in the past and the others in our party were satisfied with the food. The service was great and the atmosphere was very mexican, kid friendly. Shitty service I live on base and every time I go there isn't a issue , but every time I call there is a problem with taking or delivering my order I've called for 3 days already trying to order food due to the fact my car is in the shop right now. Service: NOT welcoming. No greeting at entrance. No eye contact. Everyone busy one wrapping forks and spoons. Waiter that we had was great. You can tell he was trying. He was very positive. Update: Came here (not out of my own free will) and was genuinely surprised about how much better my experience was the second time around. I got the carne asada street tacos, and the meat was much more flavorful & tender than when I had tried the carne asada before. While I did have an improved experience, that doesn't mean that I would necessarily recommend this place. This place is okay, but still not mucho bueno. Hence, my upgrade from 2 to 3 stars in this update. That being said, these small towns don't offer much variety. Staff was some of the best encountered anywhere. We were greeted when we entered, warm chips and salsa were at our table as soon as we sat down, beverages and food were delivered quickly, server checked on us and we were thanked when we left. I forgot to ask what kind of cheese they used on the relleno and when I told server it was not my preference, he immediately brought me the one I wanted with apologies from chef who thought he had done something wrong, which he hadn't. Food was good, portions were full of meat and we had plenty left to take home. Sunday drink specials were $5 Mimosa and Michelada. You even get to choose the beer in the huge Michelada. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. We had a 35 minute wait and after an hour, she said there were 8 more parties ahead of us. There were people sitting at the bar for an hour without the bartenders even asking for a drink order. Another couple at the bar was there for 2 hours and never got their meal that they ordered when they got there. There were only 2 servers, and no one looked like they knew what they were doing. My group and I enjoyed this restaurant they have a few things I haven't seen in a while EX: gorditas one of my childhood favorites I preferred a less doey casing by it was still delicious, now the drinks are fairly priced for the quality and quantity I had my self the jalapeño margarita and it was absolutely fire, due to circumstances I couldn't have more than one but I will absolutely return for the bar. They also have a lot of chorizo mixed dishes which I loved. The staff is quick and friendly.
