    Bun bo nam bo

The food is really good, especially if you come for lunch because they have really cheap lunch specials (as do most places in Prague). The noodles are excellent, and I highly recommend the bun bo nam bo. Very flavorful and delicious.

Really enjoyed our Bún Cha Muc Dong bowls at this restaurant! The fried spring rolls with ground pork were also very fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced and friendly service.

Ate here our first night in Prague and it was the perfect start to this leg of our trip. The Bún Cha Muc Dong was superb and the service was excellent. They accept credit cards, Euros and of course Koruna.

Great place for some Vietnamese craving after couple of weeks away from home. It's not quite the same as what I am used to in California. But in terms of authenticity, I gave it a five star. Taste the like ones I had in Vietnam. But they need to work on the meat balls tho...taste a little dry and rough...Vietnamese coffee was good, but don't come ice. Maybe ice is an A"American thing". Traveling makes you appreciate what you have at home. Service was great. The place is l"hip and trendy." Great location. One click from the river. I dig the interior decor. It's great ambiance! The ginger homemade lemonade is a must try. I enjoyed the experience.

Pho is legit! It's Northern style so if you're not used the taste, it's you!

This place is legit! Every dish we tried was authentic. I'm originally from Vietnam and I currently live in Northern California so believe me, I know Viet food. We had the rice paper rolls with shrimps, they were very good. The dipping sauce is what made this dish tasty. Hue Lemongrass skewers were well presented and prepared. Pho is definitely Northern style with a hint of ginger! We'll probably be back to try other dishes while we're here!

So I guess I had to put this place on Yelp. Really good vegetarian red curry dish, really nice restaurant with attentive service. In an excellent location, but there are a ton of restaurants around here, so the competition is pretty stiff. Nice clean spacious restaurant, and you know what I mean by spacious in Europe, where they sometimes describe cozy as sitting in your next door neighbors lap . But a very enjoyable meal It may sound strange, but you know you're in Prague when you overhear a debate about the best place in town to get a bowl of the Vietnamese noodle soup pho (pronounced "fuf"). The Vietnamese population in the Czech Republic numbers close to 60,000 making it the third largest ethnic minority group in the country.

My family and I were looking for some authentic Vietnamese restaurant and found this one close to the city center. Restaurant was decorated very nicely, staff was friendly. Food was okay. Not authentic. The Pho my sister had tasted like instant-pho. The fried ricenoodles and udon was made with cheap and small shrimps. The portion was too small for my father. The orange juice was very tasty though. Price is average. I think there are better places to eat in Prague. It has a nice atmosphere but I wouldn't come back for the food.

I had high expectations for a weekday lunch here, judging by the full spacious interior. There's a possibility I ordered the "wrong" food here--stir fried veggies as opposed to noodles and meat. My friend wasn't impressed with her noodle and shrimp dish either. The sauce it came with was delicious, and white rice was served with it which was a bonus. The portion was rather small. The interior is sleek and modern, and it has a good vibe. Service was slow to start but picked up when we got our food. It wasn't a bad value, but prices quickly creep up with duck dishes and such. I've heard Vietnamese in Prague is well done, so I'll likely be looking elsewhere for pho.

Four of us have had great Vietnamese meals in Paris, Berlin and California. Two of us travelled extensively in Vietnam, one worked in Vietnam. It was a Saturday night, nice crowd, tasteful restaurant. Food and service were overall disappointing. Tom Yum soup, which is actually Thai, had no chicken or vegetables. The Goi Coun (soft rolls or summer rolls), lacked any herbs or greens for which are key, just noodles and meat. Served with nuc mam, no peanut sauce or spice. Very bland. Then we waited an hour for the next courses and had to remind the waitress that others arrived after us, were served and finished. The final dishes came which were good or very good. Lemongrass grilled pork and cucumber salad - okay but better in Paris. Banana leaf duck, very good. Caramelized catfish (basa) very good but had better in California. Even though the restaurant was emptying out, we could not get refills on drinks. 3 of us are African American, one white. Seemed that the black folks were ignored. I had to think that's the reason for the poor service. After complaining, and we rarely complain, they did offer a 10% discount. It was so disappointing since this was something we were looking forward to. We've had great service in other Prague restaurants.

This place is a total sleeper. If you go here expecting to be met with what most people know to be…read morepho, you are going to have to expand your expectant palate a bit. In my eating experience, southern Vietnamese style pho is much more prevalent to western markets and, at least from the US perspective, is what most people are familiar with when they think of pho. I have read that in the north of Vietnam (such as in Hanoi), the style of pho is different. Not necessarily better or worse, just different. This place definitely uses a northern style recipe and I was not prepared for it to be as good as it was. It blew me away in several ways. First, the broth seems to have a lighter style to it than pho from the Ho Chi Minh City area in the south. Not in taste but in mouthfeel. Given that, it also doesn't leave you with that greasy tongue sensation either which was a plus. All of the beefy taste was there and there was even a hit of ginger coming through after the star anise which really made it interesting. I've actually never tasted broth like it (I have never had northern style pho before) and in some ways, I almost prefer this. Second, the herbs are chopped up and already added as a finish during assembly. They do not bring you a large plate of leaves, sprouts, etc. However, what they did bring more than made up for my initial disappointment. A small condiment dish of chopped hot chilis, a lemon wedge, and best of all, a container of sliced raw garlic swimming in vinegar. That condiment alone was an amazing hit to an already great bowl of noodles. I actually could not stop eating it and must have ingested at least half the container on my own. I feel kind of bad because I alone probably ate about 30 minutes worth of garlic slicing and now nobody wants to stand next to me in the elevator but that's ok, it makes me feel like a rock star that I get my own personal elevator car even if it is only because of a toxic cloud of garlic off-gassing out of my pores. Third, the service was great. This seems to be a little family run joint. A nice woman was manning the front of the house and her son was at one of the tables entertaining himself. I am sure that there is a hard working family member running the kitchen too and they managed to serve a fairly full dining room with courtesy, speed, and accuracy. I am sure that running this kind of small family business is never-ending, back-breaking work so to do it with a good attitude really shows the effort being put in on their part. There is nothing to dislike about that. Finally, it was affordable. Very affordable. I had 2 shrimp fresh summer rolls, a bowl of sliced rare beef pho, and a mug of beef all for 239 Czech Crowns ($10.18 USD). I also got to use the secure wifi they have available during my meal (ask and they will put the PW in for you). All of that is a bona fide steal in my opinion. For an ethnic eatery in the middle of Prague, this one really bangs out the good stuff.

So a quick Yelp search showed us that Mr. Banh Mi was a 5-minute walk from our hotel. We were a little iffy about how good Vietnamese food would taste in Prague, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We got there at around 9 and there was one table dining there. It's more like a hole in the wall than an actual restaurant. Most people were getting takeout or delivery. I got the Original (stewed pork Xa Xiu, homemade pate, pickled carrot and daikon, fresh cucumber, homemade mayonnaise, coriander). It was actually pretty good, and definitely better than what I was expecting. The pork was a little too salty but overall, it was exactly what I was looking for at the time. It's definitely not as good as the banh mis back at home in NYC but it was a good option for a quick meal.
