Service was attentive (we were the only group in the restaurant). Ambiance is cute. This is the oldest Vietnamese restaurant in Prague so we had to try it out. Rice was not piping hot. All the food was lukewarm. Flavor was ok. Dinner for 11 came out to $350 US. Even my kids said they had better. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area in the USA, we are spoiled with amazing Vietnamese restaurants. This place, would not last if they opened up there. read more

Visiting Prague and Czechia, we were excited to enjoy some Vietnamese food, of which the country and city has one of the largest Vietnamese populations in Europe. Four of us have had great Vietnamese meals in Paris, Berlin and California. Two of us travelled extensively in Vietnam, one worked in Vietnam. It was a Saturday night, nice crowd, tasteful restaurant. Food and service were overall disappointing. Tom Yum soup, which is actually Thai, had no chicken or vegetables. The Goi Coun (soft rolls or summer rolls), lacked any herbs or greens for which are key, just noodles and meat. Served with nuc mam, no peanut sauce or spice. Very bland. Then we waited an hour for the next courses and had to remind the waitress that others arrived after us, were served and finished. The final dishes came which were good or very good. Lemongrass grilled pork and cucumber salad - okay but better in Paris. Banana leaf duck, very good. Caramelized catfish (basa) very good but had better in California. Even though the restaurant was emptying out, we could not get refills on drinks. 3 of us are African American, one white. Seemed that the black folks were ignored. I had to think that's the reason for the poor service. After complaining, and we rarely complain, they did offer a 10% discount. Couldn't pronounce what I had but I pointed to it and thankfully I did , it was delicious , veggies inside cooked just enough scallops and delicious shrimp were perfectly cooked squid was a little chewy but still really good ,had the local draft beer with it , first meal in Prague was Vietnamese , highly recommend ,about $22 read more

Save your time and money. The cooking was atrocious, and overprice food and small portions. The pho noodles had the same type of noodles that are used for noodles for pad thai, not vermicelli noodles. The dishes were over salty, and very far from authentic Vietnamese food. If you have tried authentic food, then they will not foul you. Also poor customer service. The food was not even Bristo style, just not worth it. Very disappointed. read more

This is the best place to go on a snowy winter night in Prague. The ambience is classy and the staff is very friendly and speak English :). We summer rolls ( spring rolls in the US ), which were served with a warm clear sauce as opposed to the peanut sauce that is generally served with spring rolls in the US. We are a lil skeptical when it was served , but it turned out to be amazing. The warm and spicy sauce works beautifully with the light and fresh spring rolls. The sauce has character, but at the same time did not over power the shrimp in the spring rolls. Next we ordered Bun-ho-hue and red-curry with chicken. Both the dishes were very flavorful, we thoroughly enjoyed them. I have a feeling I will be back to eat at this place before I leave Prague :) read more

The food was delicious!! However, we were disappointed in the service. There were only three tables yet service was very slow and disorganized. I ordered the beef and asparagus over rice and was told 15 minutes later that they were out of both asparagus and rice. The place is very nice and clean with a much cleaner and classier look than most Vietnamese restaurants in the bay area. First thing to notice is the menu is in English. Not sure if they have a Czech. What's interesting is that the menu is entirely in English with nothing written in Vietnamese. All Vietnamese restaurants in California have the items in Vietnamese with English translations. What's also interesting is some items are offered everyday. Other items are only offered on certain days of the week. You might need to call in to see if your favorite item is served on a particular day. I had the Pho Combination which is interestingly a mix of both chicken and beef. The selection of beef is limited though. A few differences in serving style and utensils. Here, there were no big pho spoons. Also, no condiments such as Hoisin Sauce and no side vegetables to go with the Pho, such bean sprouts (though I did see a small amount already in the Pho), ngò gai (Eryngium foetidum), Asian basil. They do have really good pepper though. The broth is not as strong and flavorful as those in California, though was still tasty. The noodle itself tasted fresh and soft, probably comparable or better than Pho Kim Long's banh pho tuoi. Second item I had was the bun. The noodle wasn't so sticky, which I think would have made this taste better. It's similar to broken rice, when the meal calls for sticky rice. The meat was pretty good, as with the egg rolls, though the egg rolls could have been a bit more crunchy. Again, the flavors are not as strong as those found in Vietnamese food from California little Saigon restaurants. The menu was missing some of of my favorite drinks, such as soda xi muoi and soda chanh muoi. They do make up for it with a nice selection of wines and spirits. Great customer service as well, but I bit slow paced. Overall it was a good experience and good food, though can't compare to California. read more

I came here on Friday 7:30pm and there were not many other people in the restaurant. Still it took 10minutes until we got the menu and another 15mins until we could order. After 50min in total we had our three soups, which were quite good. The service was a little slow for my taste, so minus one star. The soups were good even though I had much better Pho soups for the same price before. read more

There are plenty of Vietnamese options in Prague, but this place stands out for its outstanding service, credit card acceptance, and remarkable price for value! Price: I had the bun cha and summer rolls, which came out to less than $8USD. Food: I grew up on Vietnamese food, so I know when I taste a fake. This place is authentic, and that bun cha might give some 626 restaurants a run for their money. The bun cha is an excellent alternative for those who like noodles, but not soup (like me!). The pork was perfectly cooked with the right amount of "chew" and powerful taste. The sauce it comes with isn't what I'm used to, but it's not incredibly memorable so it wasn't awful. The summer rolls were OK. Cheap and worth a try if you're craving, but they were a bit stiff. My friend's spring rolls were fantastic, but caked in oil, so watch out. Service: we came around 7 or 8pm, and there only seemed to be one woman servicing. She was incredibly nice and spoke great English! She explained dishes to us and accommodated our partial cash, partial credit card payments since we were trying to spend all of our currency. read more

Tried this restaurant on our first trip to Prague based on other positive Yelp reviews. So glad we did as the food was delicious and the service was friendly . Even our picky teenage son liked the food. They do not have a kids menu but if your child likes Vietnamese or other Asian food you can find something. I have been here twice now for dinner, with friends who come regularly for the lunch menu. Madame Lyn's has a large selection of classic Vietnamese dishes, prepared very well. Bun bo Hue has become a recent favorite of mine and Madame Lyn has the best I've had in Prague. Duck dishes are good. They also do some Thai-style curries well. Atmosphere is relatively elegant, and you may want a reservation for dinner. Service is good, with most staff speaking English as well as Czech and Vietnamese. read more

Coming from the states, we have amazing Vietnamese food. However, after 3 weeks of backpacking through Europe, we were in dire need of some good asian food and this place has it! It is reasonable priced (no more than $10 for a dish, and $2-5 cocktail/wine/beer drinks) with free wifi (essential for any traveler). The staff were friendly, attentive. Would definitely come back! Wow! This place is a gem! We've been traveling for 3 weeks now and come from an area with amazing Vietnamese food on the west coast, USA. We were craving it! It hit the spot. We had a starter, muscles with "wild sauce", and it was one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. Wonderful mix of flavors and textures. I had the bun bo hue for my main course.
