Beware...There is a delay in response time on warranties with the financials department and overall call backs are late. The worst customer/ dealership services ever. No one answers the phone other then one or two persons and I've had to call back about my warranty with NO answer! (This is the SIXTH time having to call back this week!)! read more

Bought a brand new truck. They told me one price to begin with, then they added $7700 worth of non essentials. When I went down there and asked to get them removed they said they can't remove them. Don't come here, very sneaky and unprofessional. Worst place in Chattanooga to buy a car. If you are looking to buy a car, look elsewhere. read more

Nice guys. Needed a lost key replaced on a Saturday. If this didn't work, I needed to catch a plane home instead. Tight window. They squeezed me in and got this done in under an hour. Super friendly. read more

Update: I originally gave these guys 1 star. I bought a truck from them for my 16 year old son, and then both the TPMS and check engine lights came on the day I picked it up. I contacted my sales rep, Preston, freaking out because I felt like I had been scammed. I soon got a call from Nick, the sales manager, after hours on a Saturday. He assured me that they'd make it right, and asked me to bring the truck in first thing Monday. The service department was very professional when I explained the situation. They checked it out, and then Nick called me again that morning. He explained that they had determined that this truck would continue to cause problems, so he would rather undo the transaction than move forward with the sale So it's a shame that my son didn't get the truck he thought he was getting -- it would've been an absolutely amazing deal. But he also didn't get stuck with one that would have cost a fortune to keep running. read more

Sold me a car with many issues. Yes, I bought a used car but it is clear the inspection was not done on my car prior to selling it. Good Chevy dealership to come to and look at new Chevys. Sometimes I feel like I am at a car show. They have never pressured me here at this dealership. This place sent me a flyer with a "winning" lottery number or something on it, from what it indicated you'd "won" a $700 VISA card for receiving the flyer. This is unethical, it's scummy, and it preys on the less fortunate. If you can't advertise without deception, maybe you should ask yourself why you can't run your business without cheating people? Shame on this dealership, I hope they go bankrupt. read more

We brought our Jeep here for service and couldn't be more pleased. The only other time we needed Jeep service, we took our vehicle to the "other" Jeep dealer in Chattanooga off of 153 and Shallowford Rd. That turned into a fiasco and we ended up removing our Jeep from their service department and taking it to a private technician. Our Jeep kept cutting off or wouldn't start. They wanted to charge us $1100 to fix a problem that was actually under a current recall with the fuel pump and then had the gall to come up with all kinds of other "issues" that we needed to have addressed. It was clear they up-charge and use deceptive practices. We vowed never to return. I was excited to have another alternative down in Ringold and now can happily say I know there is an honest dealer with integrity in the Chattanooga area - Mountain View Chevrolet in Ringold, GA. The service manager we spoke with was very professional. His team quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem and called with a reasonable estimate to fix it. In addition, he let me know up front that the vehicle had 3 outstanding recall items that needed to be addressed and said he would make certain they were handled while the vehicle was getting the other issue resolved. Service was quick, very polite, honest, and the problem appears to be fixed without a huge dent in my wallet. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend for service issues. read more

We have purchased 5 vehicles from MTN View. last purchase was a $50,000 suburban less than 2 months ago. it's now sitting over behind the dealership broke down. It stopped starting I had the battery tested and the starter was bad. I called took it over under warranty and dropped it off telling them the starter was bad. they call back tell me I need a battery they can put it on for almost $400. not covered. I buy a $200 battery go over put it on and my suburban still won't start because just like I told them it was the starter. I have to leave it again. they call back that afternoon to tell me hey you were right the starter is bad we can fix it for $700 it's not covered under your warranty either. so I'm out $200 for a battery I didn't need now they want another $700 to put the starter on because apparently their warranty's mean absolutely nothing. spend $50,000 not drive it 2 months and then they refuse to cover anything that goes mechanically wrong. they find a loop hole for every scenario. please anyone thinking of buying here go somewhere else where they actually care about their customers. read more

My wife and I were driving back from Atlanta- we had driven 4 hrs one way to Atlanta to look at a pre-owned Corvette. Unfortunately it was a dry run for us- not because the dealership didn't have the car, but because they didn't have time for us. In all my years- I have never been left on a dealership lot after a test drive by a salesman. He disappeared! I promise I didn't say anything bad. Driving back to TN and going through Chattanooga- we saw the large American Flag and figured it was a Chevy Dealer- sure enough Mt View Chevrolet. I pulled in the dealership and was immediately greeted by Ethan. I told him we were looking for pre-owned corvettes and he said he didn't have any, but he did have a beautiful new one they wanted to sell really bad- would I mind looking at it? Ethan was kind, courteous and very engaging- so we said we would take a look. He was right- the new Vette is stunning- but too much car for me and I told him so. He kindly replied that he understood completely and asked what exactly I was looking for. I told him my preferences and he said - can I have you meet my sales manager, Brandon, before you leave. I know the routine and was expecting a hard sale from Brandon- but it never came. He likewise asked what we were looking for and kindly took down our info. After a few minutes he thanked me for coming by and said he would keep the notes. We talked some more with Ethan and he thanked us for coming by and we exchanged business cards. On the interstate again- I asked my wife- what was the difference in the Chevy Dealership in Dawsonville GA and Mt View Chevrolet in Chattanooga. She simply responded- Mt View was interested in us and our desires. The other dealership was not. I left the GA dealership liking their car but unwilling to give my hard earned money to a group who didn't have time for us. I left Mt View desiring to do business with them even though they didn't have the car I desired. Thank you Mt View Team- I will check your website daily and hope to do business with you soon. read more

The service department is great on the phone and when it comes to making appointments. On the other hand actually honoring an appointment time is a problem. I made an appointment a week out to be sure I could leave my car there for the day as I was advised on the phone just to arrive and couldn't be guaranteed my car would be available 8 hours from now. If I had to be without my car for days what was the point in me waiting a week for an appointment??? This was our first time bringing our truck in for service. It was off to a rocky start with another service man but Jimmy Clark ended up saving the day and earning back stars that would have been a one star rating. We made an appointment 2 weeks ahead but when we arrived we were told they wouldn't be able to even diagnose our problem for 2 days. They probably wouldn't be able to work on it for 4 days. On top of that, they were trying to sell us on optional work before hearing the reason we made the appointment in the first place. I tried calling another local dealership but they were backed up as well. I wouldn't have had such a problem with their delay if they had called and warned us ahead of time. Anyway, after our grumblings, Jimmy hooked us up with a rental car and promised to diagnose the problem that day. Thankfully, no parts had to be ordered so the truck was fixed and ready to be picked up that same day. Thank you Jimmy! read more

I was never going to leave a bad review. I went to Mountain View Chevy after a dealer in Atlanta didn't contact me back for a great value Honda Civic. So Mountain View Chevy to look at a Used 2019 Chevrolet Trax. It was way smaller then photos. I told the Car Dealer I was just looking and I wasn't going to purchase that Day I wanted to do research before buying. Then my best friend talked me into test driving, dealer talked me into just looking at the numbers, I was hesitant but it was supposed to be no impact on my credit score. That was a lie and then nonstop pressuring .... I relentlessly bought a Used 2019 Chevy Equinox Premium from Mountain View Chevy. It didn't come with a Jack, lug wrench, the front two floor Matt's and an extra key. The sales rep. Stated before I signed the papers that. She will get the extra key after I sign, and the floor Matt's was all in the trunk. The same car sold for $5k less with alittle over 30,000 miles instead of the one I bought with almost 80,000 miles at the time without rear end damage, it looked good from underneath. Just alittle cosmetic plus my car also had afew dents, dings, I had to replace the back driver side tire shortly after the purchase... I felt awful about my purchase before i left the lot. I throw away the business card the same Day!!! Please, Please, Don't Not Buy from Mountain View Ford nor Mountain View Chevy. The Manger and sales reps. Pressure everyone because they know if you leave you will not go back! After your trail period for my Chevy app, Sirius XM radio, Wifi through AT&T, And on star for 3 months lasted alittle over 60 days not 3 months!!! Afew months later I tried to reinstall wifi and get the my Chevy app. I also got charged $199 plus a $86 or more charge both from continuously being charged for on star and XM which you can't tell you even have... luckily I stated I didn't know I had ether one and they took the $199 charge off. The $24 for the first month for wifi and my Chevy app... Less then a month ago the screen in my car asked if 5 times in 1 day if I appected or declined GM tracking my speed, location, braking, driving behavior, etc. to sell to third parties. I declined it once and my climate control turned off the same day and it is still off... I asked on star about the issue they transferred me to Mountain View Chevy and I'll have to pay $100 diagnostic fee plus a minimum labor fee... NTB stated two other people experience the same issues and try to go to electronic express. They had it fixed in minutes. But they're constantly busy and have not received my phone calls. Awful service. No accountability for their work. Sales team is nice but don't recommend EVER getting your car serviced here

I had the worst experience with service department here and my family has purchased several cars from this establishment. I made an appointment at 10:30am and my car still hadn't been seen by 3:30. Josh told me it was because they didn't have time to squeeze my car in and gave BS/generic reasons as to why my car wasn't finished. I had to leave my car overnight and when I called for the status, he argued with me about how he'd been calling me and I wasn't answering; but I had no missed calls. When I went to pick my car up, the navigation didn't work and when I advised him of this, he asked ME, so what do you want me to do? Well, seeing as it cost $888 for a fuse and lightbulbs, I'd like you to take ownership for overlooking my appointment, I'd like for you to take the initiative to make sure it's fixed, I'd like for you to accommodate me for being inconvenienced, and return my vehicle in BETTER SHAPE than I dropped it off. He said it wasn't his fault bc he's not a technician.. but you ARE the representative at MTN View Chevy that I dropped my car and keys off with, so I'd like for you to handle it. Maybe they should have business etiquette training, but my experience was horrible! read more

So I get my car appraised (that i just got in march of this year) how come it's only worth "$6,250 - $7,500" but this RIP OFF of a company charged me $13,863 initially with my trade in it went down to $10,863. I'm paying $3,363 - $4,613 extra why???? Definitely learned my lesson. #ConArtists #DontBuyAnything #Runnnnnnnn read more

I read through the reviews and I am completely surprised that anyone could even get someone to talk to them. I tried repeatedly to contact them to purchase a new truck. They lost my info twice. I will send that right over sir I was told. That was a week and a half ago. What a joke read more

Thanks go to Seth for reminding me to post this review. Mountain View Chevrolet has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I still haven't set foot on their property after a year. Why? Well.... here's a good start.... I took my Chevrolet Impala in to their service department because I got a recall notice from GM. So, naturally, I wanted them to fix my car. I also had some other things on my "to do" list that needed servicing, and I thought I'd get that taken care of at the same time. I gave specific instructions on what to go ahead and fix and what to call me for further approval on before I spent anymore money. This much they did do. I refused some of the additional work, but went ahead with the more important stuff. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was surprised to see a "diagnostic charge" for the work I refused. The paperwork I signed when I walked in the door said that a diagnostic charge would be assessed if no work was performed. Well, they performed additional chargeable work... so I commented that I shouldn't have to pay that. There was a short argument with my service adviser and ultimately the service department manager was called. I have never met someone so rude in my entire life. He has the worst customer service skills and acted like a tempermental toddler. When it was obvious to him that I wasn't going to cave on the paying his bogus charge, he snatched the paperwork out of my hand and stormed off. I waited around for a few minutes and the cashier finally called me over to pay. The charge had been removed. No apology from the service manager, no comment from the service adviser. Just paid my bill and left. A week later, I discovered that the recall issue that they had 'fixed" was now worse. No customer service skills AND they can't even fix my car right? That earned them a complaint to GM in Detroit. GM set me up with another local dealer who fixed my car properly. See my other reviews if you're interested. There is no way that I would ever bring another vehicle to these people... nor could I in good conscience recommend that anyone do business with them. read more

BEWARE!!!! UNETHICAL DEALERSHIP!!!!! We purchased a used vehicle from MTN View Chevy and less than 48 hours later the check engine light came on. Took it back to the dealership and they changed the spark plug and coil. They would not help on the cost of the repair. This last for a couple of weeks and the light came back on. Called MTN View Chevy service department and they said there was nothing else they could do and advise to take it to a Ford dealership. Turns out, MTN View Chevy knew there was an issue with this vehicle prior to us purchasing it. They cleared the codes and changed the spark plug and coil prior to selling the vehicle knowing that it was only a temporary fix. Will never use this dealership again and telling everyone we know to stay away. We are in the process of filing a report with the BBB. read more

I have caught these guys at the service department at least twice trying to install and charge me for parts that my car did not need. One time they tried to sell me a new motor mount for one that had just been replaced less than a month before. More recently they tried to talk me into buying a new battery and cables because one of the terminals had some corrosion on it. I took it to an auto parts store to have the battery tested and it checked out just fine. The car parts store sold me a cleaning kit for $9 which I took home and used to clean up the battery terminals and the car starts and runs just fine. The battery by the way is only 3 years old . They're also very overpriced on their parts and labor. I cannot recommend their service department in good conscience. read more

My fiancé and I walked in to this dealership with a flyer that we had received in the mail, when we first entered the show room we received no greeting from a salesman. I went in for oil change (had appointment) and after an hour and a half, was told oil pan was leaking and would take at least 1 more hour to be fixed. 1.5 hours goes by, I ask and someone says, "I promise he's almost done. I just spoke with him- he's finishing up." 30 more minutes later, I could see my car in the shop hoisted up but no one around. I asked one of the employees, he said it would be 10-15 more mins max. 30 minutes later my vehicle was finally finished. Total time: 4 hours, 15 minutes. I understand things take time, but just be honest with your customers. If I would have been told from the time they found the leak that it would be a while, I would have just left them my car and pick up later. That's what is upsetting, that I was flat out lied to for so long. Why did it take 1.5 hours into an oil change just to find out I had a leak anyway? Update: The Parts & Service Manager called me this morning and was very apologetic and polite. It was nice of him to reach out to me and let me voice my concerns and feel heard. Great manager. Rectified the situation. read more

Went to see them to buy a used Chevy Colorado they had advertised on the web. Showed up and salesman says they have none. Recommended a 2014 Silverado which had decent mileage and a good price. They wouldn't let us test drive it without the salesman and only let us go several blocks down the street. It looked decent so we go back in and sit down with the salesman he comes back with a price that is $2,400 higher than the asking price. Tried to say it is the dealer reconditioning fee or something. It was a plain and simple pure profit dealer add on fee. Told them I wasn't paying that because it's a dealer fee. They lowered it to a $1,400 add on which I decided to go with being tired of car hunting. They shot gunned my credit to like 8 banks and all but GM got denied because I had forgot my credit was frozen. My FICO score dropped like 17 points. I had gotten approval from their pre application process for a 6.8% interest rate and they stuck me with an 8.9% fee from GM. I asked them what about the approved pre application and their excuse was it was for only new cars. When we get to the finance guy, the additional hidden fees showed up. They hit you for around $599 for paperwork, another $800 for GAP insurance (found out later could get for $38 a year from my insurance company, and about $600 more that covers lost key replacement and some other minor things. So, I ended up paying about $3,400 in extra fees...all pure profit for the dealer. Only had one key and key fob which for all that money they charged could have supplied me with a 2nd set. Didn't even give me a full tank of gas. The hood had some dings and one of the headlights cracked and asked them if they would fix that and they refused. In my mind, these guys are crooks and I would never recommend them to anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if you get the same treatment at their other Mountain View dealerships. So, go anywhere, but not here. read more

This is mostly a "Parts Department" Review which could easily translate to management though. I come from St. Elmo, but I have no choice but to go all the way to either Integrity or the other Chevy dealer all the way at airport road. I have been here multiple times and every single time they either don't have basic maintenance parts in stock and it takes FOREVER for them to look stuff up! I always promptly have my VIN number ready, but it seems to mean nothing. I'll just give an example of the last time I was there (there are so many examples). I gave my VIN and then was asked if I had the ten speed automatic transmission on my Duramax truck. I don't think this is even a possibility! Before 2006, they had a 5 speed Allison and then after is the 6 speed Allison. In the back of my head, I was like, do these people even know what an engine and transmission is? Probably not... Anyways, instead of being a smartass, I said 6 speed and then tried to get automatic transmission fluid, which the manual says to change every 25k miles. They only had six in stock of the twelve I needed. This is another example of a ineptitude of this place. Of course Integrity had tons on hand, since all trucks need this transmission fluid and it is a basic maintenance item! I could have been to airport road and back before Mountain View finally figured all this out, just like every other time I've been there, even though Mountain View is only 5 mins away and Integrity is 25 mins away. read more
