I feel incredibly lucky to have found Amy. My two dogs are special and quirky - as in emotional and shy and don't take to strangers easily. Within ten minutes my Ranger was giving her kisses! I was sold. Amy has a very calm presence and that came through to me and obviously to the dogs. After providing her with a lengthy set of instructions for just visiting them mid-day for potty breaks, she didn't freak out or think I was weird. She was more than willing to do whatever I did so that the pups would keep their routine. In addition to sending me either a text or email after every visit, she also left me a "report card" with how the dogs did and reacted to her which was a nice treat. I like the attention to detail and extra information. It was just like I was there! As a bonus to the report card, Amy also left a couple of homemade treats for the dogs AND a dozen eggs from her own chickens! It's just so comforting to know I can trust and rely on someone to handle things in my absence. I didn't worry for one minute which is an amazing gift for me when I'm away from home. I've already schedule another week with her and have her booked for a long weekend with overnight stays - another nice bonus - no kennels! Amy's prices are reasonable, she is very professional and dependable - you can't go wrong!

An observation justified by the fact that, upon picking up my cat, I discovered she soaked the cat bed in her travel container with urine. The dog will be back but we'll make other arrangements for the cat in future.

When an ad for Setter pups appeared in the SR this past February, following our retirement, the opportunity to bring a pup back into our lives was purely irresistible. Our daughter has relied upon Chris Gentner, the exceptionally experienced dog trainer and owner of Nine Mile Pet Lodge, and continues to trust her precious pets, Blue the St Bernard and then Rosie the white golden, for loving care. Chris has personally worked with us to train Snacks over the course of multiple visits, including pool safety training. While Snacks can be a handful, people constantly comment on how calm he is, sitting nobly to receive greetings and pats from new human friends along with encounters with other tail wagging furry critters. Louie has a best friend, Chloe, & she always lets me know when Chloe will be there so that Louie will get the most out of his day away! Debbie also has two dogs of her own who are great with Louie, so no matter what I know he'll have a blast. First time…read moreshe was there she got kennel cough, despite us having to prove that we had vaccination and adequate time between for the vaccine to be effective. This facility did not tell us that it was kennel cough for over a week. We as dog parents new to the world of boarding thought she was hoarse from having so much fun. Other reviews since then show that their dogs got kennel cough too. We also had to take home her bed wet in a plastic bag because as we were told, she was the last dog to be let out of her kennel and soiled her bed. Last visit my dog came home again hoarse, and this time smelling of perfume. Someone doused her bed in some sort of perfume and she and her bed had to be washed when we came home. I asked about this perfume today and the owner Jen told me that they have calming spray but that no one would have used it on her... so in the end, no explanation to the perfume smell. Today was the last straw. When I went to pick up my dog this afternoon I was told her bed was wet because it had to be washed. I asked if she peed on, thinking that she was the last to be let out again for potty routine in the morning. Jen told me that my dog pooped on it YESTERDAY MORNING after I dropped her off at 7am. 1. My dog has never pooped on her bed. EVER. This tells me that she was scared of being left at this facility. 2. What did she sleep on if her bed is still wet? 3. If this accident happened yesterday morning why is the bed STILL wet? I can wash AND dry this bed in 2 hours. A dogs bed is their security and comfort when staying in a strange place. This is unacceptable that she did not have her bed while she was there. I told Jen as much and insisted a refund. She only refunded a partial of the fees I paid today. Claiming that the deposit they made me pay over the weekend was non-refundable... (I was never asked to pay a deposit on her other stays here). I put my dog in the car and took her home, only to find out that she has poop all over her back side and it's now in my car. Please Please Please.... DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABIES HERE!!! My dog sat in her own feces - that is NEGLECT! When I asked for images of my dog playing with the other animals I was shown 2 images, both time stamped from yesterday morning when I dropped her off. I demanded to see where they had been keeping her, as when I asked for a tour of the facility previously I was told that was not allowed per company policy. The room the dogs are kept in is so dark that I couldn't make out where my dog was. I am furious that someone claiming to care for animals can allow her facility to be so understaffed that the animals sitting in their own filth.

They just remodeled the front area and WOW it was stunning, such a welcoming feeling when you walk in. I just adopted my dog and this was his first grooming appointment so we were both a little nervous, the ladies working both reception and the amazing groomer herself acting like it was no big deal my 70lb mastiff has separation issues! It was so comforting and he honestly didn't even notice I left. They had so many options as far as packages, al a Carte, etc. so we were able to customize a VERY affordable package so my handsome man got every need catered to. When picking him up I got a report of him being a great boy and I was completely at ease. I would recommend the amazing staff at Paradise for your grooming or even day care needs!
