It's a train station, nothing fancy…read more The F train used to take a while to come, so when you missed one you're screwed if you're running late. But lately the F train has been coming more often. Which is good since that means I don't have to always run for the train. Currently they are working and trying to renew some stuff on the station as well. The station is also pretty decent, not super dirty or anything. The F train is one of the many trains that I take to go to school and work.

Wow just saw my station get reviewed so figured I would toss my 2 cents in. Been my station for 8…read moreyears now. My biggest issue is that this really should be made an express stop. It is right in between the two express stops (62nd and Bay Pkwy) and actually more people get on and off here than at 62nd by far. Its a pain in the keester when it goes express and you gotta get off at 62nd and wait (usually this is when its freezing out). The good thing is the constant "no Manhattan bound on the weekends" seems to be easing. It was so annoying to have to keep going to Coney Island every time I wanted to go to Manhattan. I sweaar Markowitz was behind this figuring people would just get out in Coney and spent their money there. Another issue with the station is when the Coney bound trains let out at rush hour everybody goes down the staircase to the right, even the people that end up crossing that way anyway. Stop being lazy and right brain dominated people! Other than that I cant complain, it's my station and love it or not Im stuck with it so be it.

Theres a toilet here but no toilet paper and very stinky. They also have a clock, three metrocard vending machines so nobody needs to fight for it or line up for a metrocard. They would also help you combine your metrocards if you need it. Very safe even late at night. Mostly quiet and loiterers. Very nice and funny train workers getting ready to switch shifts. You can take manhattan and coney island d train and n train. N train is downstairs and d train is upstairs. One thing that is amazing is that it tells you that the train is arriving without you going down to the platforms to wait for the trains, so if you can take either or trains then you can just wait inside the station and look at the signs for it to see which one is going to arrive faster. Very convenient. I have never had an issue here and I use this train station very often to either enter the train or to do transfers. The d train is faster than the n train so I usually try waiting for that one. There are usually cops in the station and sometimes bag checks but that only makes riders feel more safe and secure.

Even though my home is in Queens, I still use this station to visit my parents' home. I have a love-hate relationship with this train station. For it is not a major or express stop on the N line and it is often overlooked. This station is 100 years old and in need of a facelift. Rumor has it that MTA is planning to fix up the N train stations from Coney Island to 59th Street. While this will cause major service disruptions and prolonged commute to the city, I will cross my fingers that two to three years later that it will be beautify and service will be better. You can only hope for the best, right?

The age of this station is very high but its super convenient location on Kings Highway near Coney Island Ave and Ocean Parkway make it highly preferred nonetheless. It's a very simple layout with 1 street-level entry, stairs down with a fork for the 2 directions. N train service is regular with 3 minute frequencies at rush hour, 17-22 mins on weekends. The B82 & B82-LTD serve the station's 1 exit. The stop is a long and clear one meaning less traffic chokepoints. Staffed booth at street level is very helpful. Lighting is good. Safety is good except perhaps at the extreme ends of the platforms as the entry is on 1 platform end.

The good is that you can always get a seat in the morning in you're city bound, even during rush hour. Few more stops down, and all the seats are taken. The bad is that if you're not traveling morning rush hour, it's more likely than not that there will not be any Manhattan bound trains. Also, if they're fixing anything else, or trains are delayed, they will skip this station and start/stop at the Bay Parkway station. This is pretty rare but does happen, so if in doubt (or if it is an option), you are better off using the Bay Parkway station instead.

Given the number of people that get on and off this stop, it's probably a solid candidate for an express stop some day. (#1) For the unfamiliar, the 46th Street stop is among the majority of stops that are above ground. For folks waiting at the station, it has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline and unless there are stalled trains, it's never all that crowded. Another fun tidbit is that this is actually the last stop along Queens Blvd before the train turns onto Greenpoint Ave (#2) toward Woodside. Folks who want stay awhile will find that there are a number of eateries just outside of the station. It isn't the most exciting stop by any means and could probably use a facelift (#3).
