Just make sure if you're going to Coney Island from Brooklyn or Queens that you're already on the Q when getting here. That way you won't have to make a transfer.

Follow the signs to figure out where you need to go as you exit.

Like every station on the N line in Brooklyn, there's always a problem with the stations whether it's peeling paint, growing mold or crumbling ceilings, the train station is still standing strong despite its terrible conditions as of today. As of current, eight other stations including this one is slowly be being rehabilitated. Recently the MTA replaced the old and formerly disused Coney Island express tracks which makes all 4 tracks usable. So pretty much expect to see the Coney Island bound N run express to Coney Island and to Manhattan and Queens via express from Coney Island as the rehab work continues until 2018 since that is when all the stations including this one will be good as new and in good condition.

I had to walk a lot to get to this station & after all day working while standing my feet was in pain . The stuff I asked the direction realized that & actually came with me half way so I don't get lost ! I highly appreciate that , didn't had the energy to walk more . The age of this station is very high but its super convenient location on Kings Highway near Coney Island Ave and Ocean Parkway make it highly preferred nonetheless. It's a very simple layout with 1 street-level entry, stairs down with a fork for the 2 directions. N train service is regular with 3 minute frequencies at rush hour, 17-22 mins on weekends. The B82 & B82-LTD serve the station's 1 exit. The stop is a long and clear one meaning less traffic chokepoints. Staffed booth at street level is very helpful. Lighting is good. Safety is good except perhaps at the extreme ends of the platforms as the entry is on 1 platform end.
