I didn't take too many photos inside the cemetery because it didn't feel right, but I do have one of the plaque right in front that explains the history behind the cemetery. We paid for the whole stationary package and there were no prayer cards anywhere. I've asked around and no one received them. The thank you notes have printing all over them and a huge advertisement for the funeral home on them. The table at the cemetery for my fathers ashes looked like a Costco children's table. I'm grateful a friend and small blanket to cover the table to make it look nice. The were was no direction from the funeral home before hand so everything was rushed the day of even though I emailed John a week in advance to go over the way the day would play out. Every time someone from the funeral home got on the microphone they reminded our guests what funeral home they were from. My whole family has gone through this funeral home in the past, before it was sold to this new company. It's sad to see the way they are running it now.

When we had questions, they would answer the question or find another person to answer. When we asked for something to be done whether in the a small detail to a larger, they did it. It was nice to feel welcome in Delano Mortuary during this difficult time. We asked for a live stream so that family from Germany, Philippines, Indiana and Fairfield could see the funeral. John did it. We asked for our playlist to be played instead of instrumental, Delano Mortuary did it. We asked for the casket to be lifted so we could go under, Delano Mortuary did it. Another patron was in the lobby complaining about them and they didn't even have her go to an office to talk. We had to listen to her complaints, I had many of the same concerns. I hope this review steers grieving families to a better place that has dignity in their profession. The bathrooms were also dirty and with no hot water this should be a health violation.

I had a very good experience there at the new place on Whitley with Cindy. There is a man there named Kevin. If you are concerned about Cindy, ask for Kevin. He is a great person to handle your planning for funerals and stuff like that. I see other people wrote good things about Cindy. Also the new place is right downtown and is a homey place to visit. She was patient and comforting with my mother and assisted me with navigating through the process of laying my uncle to rest. On the evening of the rosary and day of the burial, Nate from Salser & Dillard, was great. He and the other team members were helpful and attentive. Everyone from the ladies at the front desk to the ushers at the rosary were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Salser & Dillard to anyone in need of a funeral home.
